A few weeks ago, we went in to get my son fitted for his prom tux. At first, everyone was very friendly and we were excited for the experience. Unfortunately, things took a major turn the night of prom. When my son's friend opened his tux bag at the hotel room, there was a very strong cigarette smell coming from the tux. These are minors getting ready for prom, so that was pretty shocking and unpleasant right away. Then my son realized his tux pants were way too large. He noticed a pin still stuck in the pants (photo attached), pulled it out, and immediately stuck his finger badly enough to bleed. Leaving tailoring pins inside a finished tux rental is completely unacceptable and honestly dangerous, can even lead to disease. Also the pin was probably there because they needed to be altered. No other reason I can think of. Because the pants were falling down, we had to rush to Dillard's right before prom started to buy an emergency belt just to make the outfit wearable in time. I called Crystal, the owner, hoping for help or at MINIMUM an apology. Instead, she immediately became defensive and stated she was "too busy" and "with other customers right now." She insisted the pants fit him perfectly, which essentially implied we were being dishonest, despite the obvious pin left in the garment and the fact that the pants were unusable without buying another item. What shocked me most was not even the mistake itself, mistakes happen in business. It was the complete lack of accountability, concern, apology, or attempt to resolve the situation. As a business owner myself, I cannot imagine responding to a customer this way on such an important night for a teenager. And after my son brought his friends there. Gross. Prom is a once-in-a-lifetime event, and the added stress right before the dance was incredibly disappointing. I would strongly recommend others double-check their alterations and garments carefully before leaving the store or steering clear. read more

I only share this review in hopes to caution others before choosing The Tuxxman for their rentals. It was the worst customer service we have ever experienced, from the first fitting to the final(2nd attempt) pick up! At the original appointment, 2 months before the wedding, during the fitting another customer came in and the attention was completely diverted to him. My husband was given 2 pairs of pants in different sizes to try on. He came out in the pair that fit properly and waiting around 15 minutes with no response so he went back and changed into his own clothes. When she finally came back to him, which was a scheduled appointment, she asked where the pants were, he told her which size fit and she told him to go put them back on. Had that been the only issue, I wouldn't even be writing this review. He paid the deposit and was told he'd be called or texted when the suit arrived. Fast forward to the week before the wedding, he began calling early in the week to check on the status. None of the phone calls were answered. Finally on Thursday, he contacted the groom, which he was trying to avoid causing stress just days before the wedding. The groom reached out and was told they were finishing up alterations and a call or text would be sent when they were complete. Still nothing, so we get there 2 hours before the rehearsal and walk in to see 3 of the other guys from the wedding party along with multiple other customers waiting. He had to pay in full before being allowed to try on the suit. After paying, he tried it on and the pants were ordered in the wrong size, way too big and no alterations had been made. She was super frustrated and did nothing but continuously blamed the customer for the issues. She said it was everyone's fault for waiting until the day before the wedding to pick up the suits. My husband told her he'd been trying to reach them all week and she replied with, "Can't you see how busy we are? We don't have time to answer the phone." After being there for over 2 hours she told all of the guys from this wedding party to leave and that they'd have to pick them up the next day, day of the wedding, when they open at 11am. Wedding was in Naples at 3pm. Everyone was late to the the rehearsal due to this. The next morning, she texted my husband letting him know they'd be open at 10am. He and I went to pick them up and she didn't hear us come inside. She was behind the wall talking bad about our group, saying it was our fault that things didn't go smooth, because we kept distracting her. All the suits made it to the wedding and you will never know in the pictures all of the problems there were; however, one of the guys had to have a leg bobby-pinned up because it was longer than the other leg, one of the jackets had sleeves so short the entire cuff of the shirt stuck out with the arms down at their side, one of the guys had holes in the front and back of his dress shirt and another's pants were so big he had to pleat them and hold them up with his belt. Would definitely not recommend. Overpriced for subpar service. I went for a fitting about a month before the wedding and was told it would be ready two days before the wedding. I went for the final fitting, the shirt was way too big and so was the jacket. I was told to come back in half hour and everything would be ready to go. I thought that was all. The day of the wedding I go to put on the tux and the shirt and jacket are too small, both come up to my mid arm. Obviously it was too late to go back for an alteration so I just dealt with it, short sleeves and all. Other people in the wedding party also had issues with their tuxes like not having cufflinks or not enough some even had suspenders (different colors). The worst part of it all was when I returned the tux. I proceeded to inform the lady at the counter about the situation. She showed a lack of concern and pretty much blew the whole thing off. I even tried the jacket in front of her and she plainly said "you're not suppose to lift your arms" WHAT? I offered to try on the shirt also but at that point I knew I wasn't getting anywhere. I rented tuxes before, and I'm pretty familiar on how they are supposed to fit. In the future I will make sure to take my business elsewhere. read more

I am a local pastor in Fort Myers and needed a new suit to officiate a wedding in NYC. I asked for help to find the perfect suit and MAN, DID THEY DELIVER! They found the perfect suit for me and after a fitting and some adjustments, the suit fits perfectly! Crystal and her staff knew what they were talking about and were VERY professional. The store was full of great selections, and if they don't have it, they can get it! I got tons of compliments from my friends and family on how great I looked. We ordered two white tie formal tuxes in early December for an event the beginning of January which the owner, Crystal, and other employee assured us would not be an issue at all. Both rentals were paid IN FULL (not just deposit) at the time of the fitting at a cost of over $400 for both rentals, again paid in full. Huge mistake! The day before we were to pick up our tuxedos, received a phone call that the specific shirt needed would not be in and available for us to pick up as agreed. Due to timing of the event and when the tuxes were needed, we advised that we would have to rent elsewhere. A total of four telephone calls were placed to the office for the owner, Crystal, to please call regarding the matter and determine what we could work out regarding at least a partial refund. We advised that we perfectly fine with having to deduct some for their time in trying to meet our needs, even though we were assured that they could and accepted our full $400+ up front. 3 weeks have past and no call from the owner or attempt to reach out while keeping the entire rental fee that we paid. This business is a sham, a scam, and I would never, ever, recommend anyone use them. read more

Nicole that works here is amazing she took time with us and made sure we liked what we were picking, on the other hand there are more than just her that work there. I had to verify things multiple times to make sure they had things right. Day of the wedding one of the tuxes was Completely wrong and the wedding was 2 hours away!! I was not happy after checking and rechecking everything multiple times! The pants were almost so tight on the ankle they didn't go over the boot and the same tux white shirt had the wrong size length sleeve they were so long we had to pin them so they looked appropriate! This was the worst fitting suit in my life! The jacket would not button. The shirt sleeves were 3 inches too short. The pants literally fell off while dancing with my daughter. I spoke with Chrystal Stewart the owner and she agreed that it was a total disaster and she would refund all of my money. She never has and I have called three times. Since we have gotten our pictures back everybody says the tux looked terrible. This all was after two fittings with her people. I could not have been happier with my decision to go with the Tuxxman for my wedding! I was very nervous through the process because most of my groomsmen were out of town and sent in basic measurements, but Crystal and the rest of her staff were able to pull it off perfectly!!! Possibly the worst experience I've ever had. Never before have I been treated with such disrespect and disregard. The owner (Crystal) was extremely inefficient and downright rude. The whole time, I felt like I should be thanking her for bringing her our business. She had the gall to insult my wife to other people in my bridal party and my family. It came down to the morning of my wedding when people had to wait to get their suits overnighted to them because she sized the guys wrong yet, she turned around and blamed us complaining it cost her $100 to get us the proper fitting suits. She takes no responsibility for her mistakes. I wouldn't trust her with pumping my gas let alone trust her with fitting my tux. I strongly recommend staying away from this vendor. There are far better places to get a tux where you will get better customer service and get a better suit. read more

Worst experience ever!!! This company has no respect for it's paying customers and the manager is incredibly RUDE! I picked out a suit for my ring bearer on 4/2/2016, got him sized, and the sales associate quoted me a price. We paid the amount IN FULL!! I receive a call on 5/23/2016, stating that the manager was going over orders and I was quoted the wrong price. They go on to tell me that the suit can not be ordered because she "would be losing money", so I had only 2 choices: get a full refund or pay the additional cost. Any and every store in the United States would of honored the price. But not this worthless place. I just could not understand that I was contacted OVER A MONTH from making my purchase and LESS THAN A MONTH FROM MY WEDDING DATE (6/18/2016). Then the manager goes on telling me "you have plenty of time" and is laughing over the phone, making it seem like I was trying to be a cheap ass. It wasn't about the money at all, but its principle. If YOU are at fault, then YOU deal with the repercussions. It's that simple. So needless to say, I will be getting my money back and spending my bucks where I know I can trust what the workers are telling me.
