They offer clothing, shoes, accessories, and clothing for both men and women, and the selection is pretty large! Brands include Storm & Marie, Filippa K, Sunja Link, and OSC. After a recent trip to Canada, I've been kind of super obsessed with some Canadian brands and want to hoard some more - there was one designer (Sunja Link) that I really fell in love with, but her new pieces are always out of stock or sold out completely within days! Still Life came to the rescue when they had a certain item in a different color that I was eyeing on, so I snagged it. They were also having some great sales, so I was able to purchase a winter jacket (OSC) as well! I also love that you can count on the fact that the pieces that you receive will be of high quality and made extremely well. I loved the super great deals, the semi-quick shipping (there was a little snafu in terms of getting the package to me, but I just need to request a signature authorization the next time), the careful shipment/packaging, as well as the great customer service follow-up (a representative actually reached out see if I received my order and if everything was of perfect quality!). After an…read moreafternoon shopping and not finding anything, I walked into this shop and I was very hopeful because everything looked really cute from the get-go. I was looking to buy a few new items. I am also very cognizant that we are in a global pandemic and I have been sanitizing my hands and wearing a mask consistently. I do have an autoimmune issue, so I am aware. I am not the type of person who ignores public health mandates, but I was just so excited to be in this store I didn't see the hand sanitizer to the right as I walked in. AS soon as I started looking, like maybe I had been in the shop for about 5 seconds, this lady storms over to me and loudly demands I use the sanitizer. It was just so abrupt and really rude and embarrassing, I couldn't even respond. Her tone was so off-putting and made me feel like I was absolute trash. I worked in boutiques in New York for years in my 20s and waited tables as a college student and as a graduate student. I never spoke to people like this. Ever. It was clear to me by her really abrasive attitude that I didn't belong in that store so I sanitized my hands and left literally in tears.

I thumbed over a pretty cardigan. I wanted to buy... I had my credit cards out, but every time I went to, something told me not to. Perhaps it was the smell of incense in the air and in the fibers of the cardigan that didn't do it for me because I left without anything in hand, feeling a little blue. To date, I'm quite happy with the purchase of an adorable striped cotton/linen dress and a silk screen scarf with a distinctive hare pattern that I'm constantly getting complimented on. I had a ton of fun in here trying things on and looking around. The customer service was incredibly friendly, but not pushy or aggressive. To be honest, I feel like a lot of boutique shops in Victoria have a snobby "you're not good enough to be in my shop" attitude, and it was so refreshingly lovely not to encounter any of that here. I felt welcomed & comfortable browsing the shop. I didn't feel pressured to buy anything neither was I made to feel inferior as some boutiques may make some people feel. A new addition to the Victoria shopping scene, they've filled the spot between Pig and the entrance to the Atrium. With floor to ceiling windows and a beautiful interior, you'll wish your closet had this lighting, not to mention to the space. While it looks amazing with the shoes set up more like art than those boring old shoe racks you're used to, Head Over Heels has a range of prices and offers. From affordable, sustainable, fabulous TOMS, to handmade Spanish and German brands you've never heard of, and some staples from Birkenstock that you'll never grow tired of. They have a ton of great local and Canadian-made jewelry, and hand bags and are excited to be open, so the service is really great. They are looking to start supporting some local women's groups with shoe donations too, so you'll really be embracing a new business in the Victoria shopping community that's out to do some good. So nice to see a TOMS (I'm a superfan) selection beyond the classics. They have some awesome wedges that will soon be mine. The handmade Spanish numbers have my name on them too.
