The chips were pretty plain, but that's typical of English chips. Overall, the highlights were the beer and the house salad that came with my meal. It was as lovely as the barmaid who served it for me. This is a wonderfully unique bar. I fully recommend a visit. Like going back in time in some respects. They have some fruit wine (like gooseberry!) if you don't like cider (but no beer, which was normal for traditional cider houses).
