By far the least helpful UPS I've ever been to Employees only telling you no they don't tell you solutions or how to get stuff done There is no bang for your buck. Everything is overpriced and they jab you with add-on charges for everything. Don't try to ship anything ground as they tried to refuse all service as possible with drop off labels. They only really want their overpriced shipping, which is more than retail price. Go to anyone of the online shipping providers and plug in your size speed and weight of package and arrange for a pick up from your house even with a pick up fee. You'll be much happier than dealing with this investor group that's only interested in profits read more

I am updating my review because the response from the company is a lie. My package was absolutely wrapped and packaged and ready for shipping. What they tried to do was tell me it wasn't packaged good enough. It was, they simply wanted to try to force me to buy their packing materials. I took the same package to the downtown Decatur location and they accepted it without issue. Read some of the other reviews. This place is notorious for nickel and diming customers. It was so simple. The location can't be near. I come typically to shop at Kroger's across the parking lot, but today I had to drop off a package. I didn't even wait 30 seconds when my drop off was scanned and I was given a receipt. In and out in less than a minute. Thank you UPS store. Many of the locations also have a public notary. At the mid-town location I had to have something notarized for a home sale and the notary was super helpful as I need the documents scanned and mailed too. Every time I am getting a delivery to my house with this darn company it's always delayed, they always drop it off to the post office. My buddy lives just down the road from me and UPS handles his from start to finish. Don't understand how mine can be so messed up every time. Normally an adequate UPS Store, but you have to watch them. Every once and a while, they'll refuse Amazon "return in packaging" drop-offs, and try to force you to buy an overpriced box from them (which Amazon clearly instructs you NOT to do). UPS is horrible. The driver never delivers my packages. Always makes up some bogus excuse. To not complete the delivery. And customer service, is an absolute disgrace. They have no ability to actually provide assistance. They can't even get someone to answer the phone at the distribution center. Let alone contact the driver, who can not read an address. This is my go to UPS store since it's the closest location to my house. Forewarning that they are always packed after 5. As long as you have a shipping label affixed to your package, the driver scans them and loads them to the truck, so no need to drop off at the counter unless you require a receipt. read more

This location is so focused on shipping comcast cable boxes as a service, they are rarely able to assist their customers in a timely manner. Very disappointing experience at this UPS store. The employee was rude and confrontational about where I had parked. As I was 50% finished on my transaction I was willing to take the risk as to where I was parked and understood the consequences. Therefore it should've been none of her business. Instead of leaving it alone she pressed the subject and I left. This location has a three star average which I imagine will lower as time goes on. As a sidenote, this is my second time at this location and my first time here everybody that worked there was rude. I have no doubt this business will read this review and more than likely roll their eyes and brush it off. Lady was nice, Male worker had an attitude as I approached they also tried to charge me $8 for a shipping bag (which is highway robbery) that's free at multiple locations and 2-3 dollars at others, he also tried to force me to pay for it after I told him I wasn't going to pay that much for it and take it elsewhere. read more

Absolute WORST location just spoke to the owner. This is the ONLY UPS store that charges you for boxes when shipping. Generally boxes and overnight are free with shipping purchase . The OWNER of this Glenwood location in front of the Kroger supermarket solely CHOOSES to not use UPS boxes at a UPS store solely so he can make MORE MONEY off of customers. Do NOT use this location go to another UPS store or try using fed-ex. Absolutely ridiculous especially given the cost of inflation. I just reported this business to UPS as this business owner chooses to go against the UPS standard. Owner is very rude and greedy at a time like this with inflation. I've this store before for Amazon returns. The staff is always pleasant and helpful so today I had another Amazon return plus I needed to have several documents printed. I loaded my documents on a flash drive and took off. When I arrived I was greeted by a pleasant young lady that hat helped me before, I told her I had a return plus needed some documents printed from my flash drive. She advised me that she would have to print the documents for me abs there would be a computer fee of $2.50 in addition to the per page cost. I was manufacturer's representative for this type of equipment and I know you print directly from a flash drive on the equipment itself. I told her this and offered to show her how to do it. She went and consulted with a gentleman (not sure if owner or just manager) and he came over to advise I would have to pay the fee in return I advised I was not paying a computer fee and would go somewhere else. I reiterated that the devices are capable without a computer and offered to show him the process. He refused and walked off and walked out the door to Office Depot. Not sure if they're using the "computer fee" as a bogus surcharge or if they truly do not know the capabilities of their equipment but I do know that a $2.50 additional charge for printing from a flash drive is unnecessary and uncalled for. read more

I was excited to find a UPS store close to where I shop. The people the work here are so nice!!!! So why 3 stars? Because unfortunately the owner nickel and dimes his customers. I went in the print and ship something and I had to pay to print my shipping label (not the problem). It got hairy when I had to pay to use the computer to print my label!! What??! I placed an order to be delivered specifically to this location. The UPS site showed this location as been the location my package was shipped to however when the packaged was tracked indicated a over flow location CVS store. I went to CVS two representatives looked for my package and could not find it. They advise me to check with the location on Glenwood as UPS indicates it was shipped there and often time packages get sent to either location. When I arrive at the Glenwood location they asked for the tracking details and noted that the package was was delivered to the CVS location. The owner of the store would not check however would give a customer service number to UPS and advise me to call them answer reconfirm with CVS. I reached back out to this store and asked that they just look to see if the package was there. They refused and had a bad attitude about me asking them if they could look for my package. Terrible UPS. Shipped my package back to the send address. I should have double checked it but they put in the FROM address. When I went back in when the package came back to my address Frank, the owner, threatened to take the refund out of the employee who made the mistakes salary?!? I've been using this UPS store 1 to 2 times a week for about a year now. Because it's convenient and I like to support small minority owned businesses. The same few people check in the package every time and still treat me like I've never been there before. I've needed to call twice now because my package didn't show leaving the store. The man I talked to both times was condescending and argumentative. Maybe I'm not treated well there because I am only dropping off and not spending money? I understand there is some kind of incentive for them to accept packages so maybe they just aren't nice. I'll be driving the 20-25 minutes to the UPS customer service center from now on. Like a customer previously stated, my package was shipped to the wrong address due to human error in scanning the wrong bar code. When I called to inquire about the package the manager was very rude and did not take ownership of the error. I had to launch an investigation about the whereabouts of my package. I was told that this is a franchise of the UPS stores and doesn't know the inner dealings of UPS as a whole. Avoid this location and return to a real UPS to avoid confusion. read more
