This was a fast and easy Amazon return! The store associate scanned the QR code directly from my Apple Wallet and took the item without any hassle. He greeted me warmly and treated me like a friend--even mentioned I was the first person to show him an Amazon return code through a digital wallet! The staff here consistently deliver excellent customer service, which keeps me coming back. That said, the lines are usually long, and it's rarely a quick in-and-out--I typically wait at least 15 minutes, no matter the time of day. The store is currently undergoing renovations, and the Internet connection is poor, but I still plan to return because the service makes it worth it. read more

This store makes absolutely zero effort in packing your items appropriate for shipping. NOTHING was wrapped, ten or so 70 year-old plastic model railroad buildings were just DUMPED into a box that had a bubble sheet on the sides, bottom and top. Daymon answered the phone there and told me that this was how they picked it up from the auction house. I told him that I paid $57 for them to wrap the items for shipping, not to just pour them into a box!!! Naturally, as could be expected from this shoddy group of people that call themselves a packing and shipping company, the only building in this lot that was worth anything has its parts, that made it valuable, SMASHED IN SHIPPING. What they consider as packing for shipping is about how most people would prepare to throw the items into the dumpster. They do not care about the customer or the products that are PAID to ship. Daymon is a DEMON AVOID THIS BRANCH And this incredibly unprofessional human. I have had three TERRIBLE experiences at this store and each time it's been with him. The other employees are alright but no one intervenes to tell him he is completely unprofessional. He grunts and makes sounds when he is displeased. And does not explain and / or know why things happen. For example: I tried to return something in exactly the same way it was delivered. But he kept saying he needed tags. This is how the item came. Exactly. And without tags. He said he understood but needed tags anyway. How can I get tags? He needs to be fired! I would give the location a ZERO but that's not an option. read more

worst ups there is the employees over there try to always make you purchase a box from them ive been there multiple times and all of a sudden they tell me i cant use my own boxes for returns. I bought a corona LED sign which came in a box that said corona on it and the employee there told me i cant ship in a corona box because it represents alcohol. The sign was shipped via UPS in the same box. so i took it to another ups and guess what? no problem they returned it back for me. also my mom prior to this also ran in to the same issue where the employee over there charged her 20 dollars because he said the box she has is no good so her made her buy a box for 20 dollars read more

These are rude nasty people that constantly try to "pad" the sale.. since they don't make much when you drop off a pre-labeled package, they will claim "it will get stuck in the conveyer belt" and you will need to repackage it.. This is followed with a quote to repackage $15.00. I didn't want to argue with them so I asked to buy a box&tape $9.00 just large enough to fit my already boxed item. I then walked over to the supplied customer counter to drop my box inside of their box and tape up. The now miserable old gal claims I can't do that because of "insurance Laws" I chuckle walk outside box it up and bring back inside where one of the polite workers weigh and give me my receipt. I feel sorry for the workers of this place having to deal with such a cheap, miserable owner manager... Terrible customer service. The last few times I went to The UPS Store located on Rte 231 in North Babylon the workers acted like they could not be bothered waiting on customers. I went again today and the worker was having a personal conversation with another employee while I was standing there waiting to be helped (I was the only one on line). The worker finally walks over to the counter and just waves at me to step up (no hello or how can I help you...). I recently tried to return my Amazon packages through this UPS store. The worker assisting me Told me that I would have to pay for the package to be taped or buy tape and do it myself in order for them to process my return to Amazon. I try to explain to her that it was an package less/label less return and as a courtesy I put it in a box however it was unnecessary for me to even do that so why would I pay for a free return. The rude and highly ignorant associate told me I was incorrect and I did not read the return instructions so I decided to call Amazon while standing there in front of her. The Amazon associate on the phone confirmed that I was correct and they were giving me false information and that I was not responsible for packaging the return even being told by the associate of Amazon that I was not responsible they still insist on charging me for tape. This is not the first time I tried to return something from Amazon to this UPS location the first time they told me because of the size of the package I would have to pay for shipping even though it was a FREE return. Even though they were completely wrong the owner of the UPS store decided to mock me instead of helping with a solution he's very arrogant and rude I can see exactly why his associates are the way that they are customer service is not their number one priority I'm not sure how this UPS stays in business and I'm not sure why Amazon continues to work with these type of businesses. However this will be the last time I attempt to use this UPS service. End results I took it to another UPS store and they took it untaped unlabeled just fine. Go in today to make an Amazon return. U There are 2 computers available I ask to use the printer to print out the return label - They're not available. I ask can you print out the label? Sure $5/each $10 to print out 2 sheets of paper! Are you serious!? I try to reason with the $10/hour moron behind the counter but of course that was a waste of my time. I just went to drop off a package at this UPS location...it's 63 degrees outside bright sunny and fairly warm; the store is hot inside ;no air circulating; door is closed in while people are inside! Why can't you leave the door open? I could hardly breathe with a mask on in there. Then to make it worse one of the employees decides to cough and pulls his mask down to do so !!! WTF !! My husband and I sell things on eBay and make lots of other shipments, such as returns to Amazon or gifts to friends. This is our go-to UPS Store. It's near our house, we are always met with helpful, easy-going service attendants and we have not had a problem working with them yet. Occasionally we will use them for help with boxing up and shipping a large or heavy item, which can get pricy, but I think that's just the nature of the shipping business these days. Otherwise, it's been all-around good experiences here. read more

He made me feel like my package was in the best hands. All the bad reviews are of people who probably caused those actions. We ship some of our business packages through here; they are always packed and shipping label is printed on them (so only need to be scanned). We went there about a month ago at 6:20pm (they close at 6:30pm and were told all packages have to be inside before 6:30pm. We left the place at 6:32pm so today we made sure to come a little early. We only had a few boxes and left the store at 6:20pm we were told that we were too last minute. The older woman that works there always has an attitude with us and only one of the guys ever looks like he is working. It sucks that some UPS location have such horrible customer service. Was told a certain price and if I packed it myself it would be less $12 so when I went in and had them wrap it they tried to add $15 on top of it and this was the owner Ray, Who was a grumpy arrogant old man where I literally had an argument with him in the store!! He was talking over me and would not allow me to prove my point as far as the shipping price and basically told me in so many words to take it or leave it... The owners of this franchise are intellectually trying to rip people off. I asked to use the computer to print an email. I was excessively charged. The store clerk through the same too but she couldn't refund me. A few weeks later I asked a store clerk to print a shipping label an company sent me. They told me it would be $5.50 to print the label, on top of the shipping cost the company paid. The employee apologized for even having to quote such a high price. Told me, "it's not us but it's the owners of this store". They shouldn't be allowed in business if this is how they abuse UPS's name. read more
