So I'm looking for a print shop to get a huge poster printed out for an upcoming party and this is my local ups store. I literally live like 2 blocks away from this store so this would obviously be my first choice to go to. Well after reading the reviews i find it very amusing that the local ups owner needs to comment on every negative review. Local owner you are making your store look very bad. Very unprofessional. I will definitely not be stepping foot in this ups I would rather drive to the nearby Downey Fed Ex. Get it together and try to help your customers out. I am so thankful for this store here's why.. back in July I used this store as a drop off location for a return to T-mobile. T-mobile is claiming they never received the package 2 months later and charged my bill an extra 250.00... I lost the tracking slip and had no proof. This kind man Idle Kotico took the time to do the research and found all of my information.. The customer service was excellent. He was kind, fast and extremely helpful.. UPS sucks. I already told the dispatch their guy is going to the wrong address and leaves notices in my neighbor's house. They messed up my packages. So based on the reviews, the owner might suck but at least he (or someone else) had the good sense to hire Sheryl (hope I spelled that right). Went in today with my dad. She gave us a price estimate on our packages. We came back a couple hours later with them and she was extremely cordial. There was a man cursing on the phone outside but she remained calm. There was a woman on the phone with the company that was supposed to ship her something and she put them on speaker for Sheryl to talk to. She helped two men who only spoke Spanish with their copies even though she didn't really speak Spanish (and even joked with them!) She made nice small talk with me and my father. I've never had such a pleasant time shipping packages. She should be the supervisor/manager/owner of this place. Will definitely come back when she's around! read more

I have been coming here to this UPS store for several years now. I have sent packages to England UK, Wisconsin and Utah. They have really taken care of me by helping with the documentation that needs to be filled out before the package goes out. Today I went to e-scan documents and I really didn't have to do anything but stand there and watch the Nice person (maybe the owner) do it for me. Best service ever! Always greeds me with a smile. 1st and last time ever going to this UPS store to do business. I've dealt with many UPS stores before, but this one is by far the worst. The owner charges you $.50 cents to tape a friggen box closed. Are you kidding me? He is definitely borderline about to go bankrupt if a piece of tape is breaking his business. He is so unprofessional that he has the nerve to get argumentative with a customer over a piece of tape. Do not do your business needs with this store. Take the extra drive to get more professional service from another UPS store that appreciates your business and understands they would not be in business if it wasn't for the customers. This guy has no clue of that concept. Next complaint, the BBB (Better Business Bureau) if you are going to charge to tape a box close, you should post a sign of those charges or advise the customer to bring their own tape. DO YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!! This is a prime example of people running businesses and have no clue of what the key components of a business is... Your Customers. STAY AWAY! Yelp needs to include a 0 star rating...I don't ship often and this location was convenient for me so I figured how bad can it be? HORRIBLE! I needed an item shipped C.O.D. and thought this would be the safest way. I would be able to track the package and all would be well. I needed the driver to collect $350.00 plus the shipping, a total of $381.70. Well when the driver got to the location to deliver he asked to collect $35.20...???...luckily the receiver of the package was totally honest and called me right away! Turns out this UPS store billed the shipping $31.70 plus $3.50 (not $350.00!!!!) I went directly to the store, after about 30 minutes the assured me they would take care of their mistake and I had nothing to worry about.Ten minutes after leaving this location the owner called and said I would have to have the item shipped all the way back and start over or work it out with the receiver myself! He never once apologized or took any responsibility. I would have thought he would at least reimburse my shipping cost or at the very least the $11.15 I was charged for the box, bubble wrap and horrible service. But no, instead he hung up on me leaving me to clean up the mess. I'm not the type to expect freebies or write a bad review for no reason. Just beware if ur going to go to this location. read more

This is the UPS store I frequently go to for the fast and excellent service. I have used them for my nursing license renewal fingerprinting and faxing needs. They're so professional and knowledgeable for all legal and formal documents I need for work and school. One time I forgot to bring my USB thumb drive, but they simply accommodated by letting me go online and download the files I needed to print and fax. They're my favorite store to drop off my amazon returns because I come in and leave in less than a minute. You can tell they really work hard to get you the service you need and find solutions for you. Two thumbs up! read more

Great customer experience. There is ample parking in this space and I did not encounter a line at this store. The cashier accepted my package without question or incident and manually input the tracking number since my barcode was unable to be read. "BAD SERVICE" I feel a need to write about a recent experience I had with this UPS location . . . I'm a notary, and I ship at least 15 packages every week. I have been to this and many other UPS & FedEx locations over the past 9 years to ship packages & make photocopies. But this visit was different. On Friday March 25, 2011, I came in to request a UPS shipping envelope to ship my documents. An older gentleman (who I believe to be the owner) told me that he didn't have UPS envelopes and asked me to purchase one of his plain white ones for $2.00. I went out to my car and found a FedEx envelope. I came back in, turned the envelope inside-out in an attempt to mail it, but he became quite UPSET with me. He told me "That his rent was $4300 per month, and if I don't buy anything from him, that I wasn't a customer of his." He then told me "That it was his right to refuse service to anyone" and then he asked me to leave. No problem, I left FOR GOOD. I recommend BOTH the UPS at: 8504 Firestone Blvd, Downey (next to Panda Express) and the FedEx Office at: 8616 Firestone Blvd, Downey (next to Ralphs.) For BOTH of those locations, the people who work there are FANTASTIC. read more

If I could put negative 10 I would. Horrible service, more than that what the owner is doing is straight out illegal and fraudulent. I went to do live scan and to begin with waited for about 40 min. But that is not the main issue. I got a letter from Dept of Real Estate stating that live scan provider put a wrong code - instead of licensee application, he put a code for a state employee application. When I went back there to complain - he told me that it is absolutely impossible for him to make the mistake. I told him that anyone can make a mistake. He argued with me for about 10-15 min that absolutely not that would be possible. He refused to show me my application that he submitted and finally told me that he is done talking to me, I can do whatever I want and I need to leave. He basically kicked me out because I kept arguing that he was the one who made the mistake because the DRE states so and they even pointed out to a specific mistake HE made! When I went to another live scan provider office and told them this story, they told me that it is very possible to make this kind of mistake and I should file a complaint with Dept of Justice. My advice - NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE! OWNERS ARE SCAMMERS AND LIARS. read more

I went to return my shoes to Amazon, they sent me a wrong size, i forgot a box under the shoes, i came in the store and the other women working there told me 5 bucks for a box, i dont have any money, im a student and a single mother i said okay im a go pick up the box. I came back and of course i forgot to tape it, i have to much on my mind but the owner just start yelling at me YOU DONT WANNA SPEND NO MONEY HERE II ,,you dont wanna buy box you dont wanna buy tape he keeps on going i was like what is going on here, i even came to that awful location before paid to use the computer and print out and he start yelling at me .. for someone to treat customers like that is beyond me, i asked for his name and he denied giving it to me and kept on being more rude, i thought amazon and ups have an agreement with returns i was told to drop it off at ups i didnt know i was gonna get yell at for not spending money there i even had tape in the car but i just walked out and left because obviously the guy was to upset i didnt wanna spend money in his store , i have to send allot of stuff over seas this summer and this shop is closest to where i live but i know i will definitely not be going there again, BEWARE !!
