After paying $400 to get the package to Netherlands the package is now stuck, the store will take no responsibility for helping to change address! the Bloomington, Indiana store did a very unsatisfactory job packing a audio recording system for me last September. I used them so I would not risk damage. the computer was dropped a few feet to the floor while I was in the store. it arrived damaged at the destination. other parts also were damaged in a different box. when I went to the store on the other end of my trip (Bozeman Montana), they packed it up so beautifully, I was very impressed. this put my entire business down for over two weeks while troubleshooting. when contacting the Bloomington store, I was told by a manager to file a lawsuit if I wanted to try to get something. total cost for packing and shipping was over $1500.00. I was told that the insurance I paid was not available for UPS store packing problems. NEVER AGAIN! read more

Being considerate and kind used to be the bare minimum one could expect when arriving at a store, sadly this UPS store does not believe in that. At 3pm I walked through the door carrying a large, heavy package to return to Amazon (a literal drop, scan, and go). I walked in, there was only one other customer in the store at the time filling out a form (away from the desk), I waited for the woman at the counter to acknowledge me, she did by telling me they were closed and that they wouldn't take my package (It was 3PM when I walked in). The other employee I saw looked at me like I was from Mars. I told her I just need to drop it off, she said she didn't care because she was closed (remember, I WALKED in, the door was open, it was exactly 3PM). I get it, people want to go home, but if the customer is IN THE SHOP, you still have a job to do. This type of behavior at my shop would get a person fired (by me as I own a shop in this town). While I personally do not go to the UPS store often (my manager does), I see ZERO reasons to return and will suggest my business make alternate arrangements whenever possible. On my way out I asked who the current manager was, and the woman said it was Jasmine. Well, Jasmine, I tried to call to leave a message for you personally so you could deal with this in private, but the phone didn't get picked pick up (or was ignored) by neither person nor machine, so I am posting here instead. Never ship anything through this store. The employees dont do what they say and when your shipment dont arrive on time you dont get a refund either. So I am out almost $60 and several emails and phone calls to find out Im not getting a refund because someone didnt do their job. read more

It is bad, I couldn't use another words, just BAD!! Every time my package was lost, I call the post office, and they give me another number, and I call that number, I was just keeping talking to a robot . They don't want to listen to my issue, even my issue was not that terrible, they can just ask someone who deliver the package. read more

They were super friendly and helpful and apologetic for the scene that was being caused by another customer. They maintained the highest level of professionalism when they certainly didn't need too. I have been here a few times to ship packages and they are always friendly, ready to make recommendations, and very helpful. Recently, I got there right as they were closing with a rather large item that needed some special packaging and padding -- the man working could have sent me away but was nice enough to stay a few minutes past closing time and make sure everything was taken care of. read more

On a Sunday at 4 PM in early August, I walked into the UPS store on College Mall Road. Their hours were posted on the door and online as 12 PM to 5 PM on Sundays. I walked in with two gift wrapped boxes, walked up to the counter, and placed my boxes on the scale. Greg looked at me and said "Did you pre-print your mailing label?" I simply said no and continued to tell him what I needed shipped was not fragile. He looked and said "we close in 45 minutes" and continued to bring up obstacles that would prevent me from utilizing their services. I suggested maybe their hours should say they close at 4:00 instead of 5:00 if they needed that time to process their daily work. He added something to the effect that they may not be able to pack and ship it today. I replied, "Sending it tomorrow is just fine." Greg looked at my gift-wrapped boxes and said "I don't know how we are going to pack this." I grabbed my bulky packages with my handicapped hands and said "you know what, Greg, I am thinking that you do not want to help me ship my package so I am going [somewhere else]." He kept muttering something about there's only one of them to do packing today and some other things that I just didn't listen to because I was so frustrated! The business name is UPS - United Parcel Service - and I wanted my parcel to be serviced properly but apparently Greg was not able, or more specifically, not willing to handle it. I proceeded to go up the street to FedEx, where the person at the counter promptly measured the two boxes I wanted shipped together, measured them again, searched for the appropriate-sized shipping box, measured a third time, and said "Yes, this will work!" He seemed happy that he could help me with my shipment. He was happy to DO HIS JOB. That's what I wanted Greg to do. But Greg didn't even have to be happy about it like the FedEx guy. Greg could've just shipped my packages - the following day, even - and I would've been happy! Tell me why I am wrong to be frustrated. Or tell me if you would have been just as frustrated as me. During this phase 2 of Indiana dealing with the coronavirus this store is doing nothing to protect their customers. Staff are not required to wear masks they are not sanitizing their credit card machines nor pens that you use to sign. They are not sanitizing the counters and are allowing way too many people in the store. While the owner contains 25 people are allowed to gather he is ignoring the state provision where he must provide provisions for social distancing per the CDC. I do not recommend anyone going here at this time....Very unsafe. read more

Avoid this store at all cost. The employees don't greet ANYONE that enters their store and look extremely sloppy and unprofessional. It seems as if they're running a program where they're hiring the lazy and incompetent. They had extreme difficulty shipping packages (for multiple pissed off customers in line), which is the ONE thing they should be good at. They are NOT! Don't go there! I needed a simple service, notarized copy of my diploma, and had the serviced denied. I'm a doctor who graduated overseas and brought to this place my diploma and its certified translation just to make a simple notorazied copy and send it to the health training program that I'm applying for. I heard so many nonsense excuses and took me a while to understand what it was really going on. This is a small community, and I wonder what would happen if each member of this town would start to deny services like this person did, for no reasonable reasons. As a longtime customer I can say that this store it's attitude has changed I don't know if they have been taken over by New Management ship and if they did it really sucks. The attitudes of the managers district and store manager and its employees are very crude. I was waiting in line this past Dec. to hand them a package to mail out for me. There was a lady before me and both managers and two employees were arguing with her over her package. The waiting line I was in was held up from the counter to the front door of the store we were like seven people waiting to give them our packages while all two employees plus two managers were arguing with this woman. I felt sorry for her, the attitude used on her was awful, they were yelling at her at and sort of having up on her. also in the past 6 months they misplaced two of my friends packages. I advise anybody not to go to this UPS store at 855 South college Mall road in Bloomington Indiana find one of the other UPS stores to go to they are close by and their attitudes are great and they are efficient. this store is going down the tubes even my friends told me that they have had problems with the staff. read more

I use UPS often but not this store. VERY RUDE associate named Amy opened the store this morning. There were 4 customers waiting before 8:30. She stood inside while we waited and didn't bother to let us know the doors were unlocked- finally 8:38 one of us tried the door again. She was so unprofessional to each of us. Lots of good people could do this job- she should be working in a back room somewhere because she has no people skills and is clearly angry. Awful. You arrive carrying heavy packages, already labeled with prepaid labels, just to drop them off, and are told to wait in line to hand them in. And this is not done in a courteous or friendly manner. Fedex and even the post office now have designated counters where you drop off your pre-labeled packages with no wait at all, while UPS sits in the stone age. You walk into this store, and it's like being in Russia or some other communist bureaucracy. read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS STORE. Today one of the employees chased me out of the store into the parking lot where he threw a package at my car. Backstory: I find a package on my doorstep. Right address, but never heard of the person to whom it's addressed. So I take it to this UPS store. "What's in the box?" "I don't know. It was mistakenly delivered to me. I didn't open it." "Well, we can't take it if we don't know what's in it. It's federal law [um, it's not]." So, heading for the door, I suggest, "Go ahead and open it." "Hey, you can't leave that here. We can't accept it if we don't kno..." I'd already left. As I'm getting into my car, I realize the employee is chasing me. I'm afraid, so I quickly shut my door, lock it, and pull away. That's when I hear the thud. He throws the package at my car! I thought it bounced off and I was too scared to stop. Later, after driving through the rain for 40 minutes, I arrived at home to find the box soaking wet and stuck to the roof of my car. Moral of the story? Just go ahead and open that package that isn't yours. Apparently, nobody cares. Do not under any circumstances try to do the right thing by returning it to this UPS store. read more

I had some stuff shipped to chicago. The guy at the UPS store packed it for me and I got insurance. When the stuff was damaged in transit the manager at the store said it was my fault and the insurance was invalid. read more
