Generally, I've have had a good experience here with employees; this review is about the owners. I went today to ship 3 boxes to Canada (4lbs each, 16x10x6) and was told the only option cost over $200. I checked online and UPS standard is $44. When I asked to ship standard, employees told me this store doesn't offer standard. Learned this is a franchise type store and the owners choose what services to offer. I feel duped knowing I've overpaid for shipping from this store for 9 years, thinking they were quoting me the lowest option but realizing they only allow premium shipping. I'm going to Springfield, where I called ahead to confirm they ship UPS standard and am paying $53/box, saving $475. If you don't need premium shipping and can drive to Springfield, it might be worth it! Advice to owners - offer your customers more options to fit their needs. read more

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I walked into 5 employees behind the counter and not a single one of them acknowledged me as I walked in. (I was the only customer in the store) I proceeded to sit my package on the counter, and the employee was more worried about being on her personal phone. I was patient, and I just stood there waiting until she was done on her personal cell phone. She then looked at me like I was a bother. As she assisted me, she continued to text and be on her phone right in front of my face. I understand no one is perfect and there is emergency's to where we need our phones. Its 2025. But I work in customer service, and I never make my customers feel like a bother or like they are my last priority. I come to work to serve them the best I can, without a phone in site. If I do need my phone I go to the back. Let's do better for one other people. read more

Needed notary service so booked an available slot for 11:30 using THEIR web page. Show up for the appointment on time and they tell me they don't have a notary on saturdays. 1. Don't have notary slots on your online appointment app on days you don't have a notary. 2. Is it that difficult to respond to by email, text or phone call to inform the customer there aren't any appointments? Total disrespect for my time and complete absence of customer service. read more

Hollister, Missouri uPS office is ridiculous and very difficult to communicate with , let alone work with. J Carns, Supervisor has put all of our packages on hold without our permission for a reason for doing so other than revenge. I called and complained about drivers driving on my lawn and all of a sudden my pages are being returned and sent back to the senders. UPS get professional! read more

I had a package to ship that both UPS and the shipper agree can be shipped UPS. In fact the item originally came to via UPS, however, this store refused to ship it, saying they don't have to based on their UPS agreement. It's bad when you go to the UPS store where they say you can do anything you can at a UPS location just to find out they refuse. read more

Mike and his building of boys are very rude with some sort of power complex. Mike doesn't follow any of UPS rules displayed on the website about store hours, pricing payments or anything. I have had UPS mailboxes at multiple stores in multiple states. They have allowed me to pay over the phone and have allowed monthly payments. This store switches their hours by the month, closes when they feel like it, and claims to only accept payments 3months in advance. I don't know how they're still open except that it's the only one around and UPS hasn't gotten enough complaints. read more

Had to send a fax ..... thought price was a bit steep 1.00 a page however the girls working there are Great!!!! They went over and beyond. Very helpful and professional. Papers kept sticking so they recopied and sent 3xs to make sure they all got where they needed to go. Even though they had a line forming and never broke a sweat or got frustrated. One of the WORST customer service I've ever experienced. I went to the store to have a letter sent and the man behind the desk (Mike) had the worst attitude right from the start. I told him I would like it sent with a return label in it and also I would like to have the letter signed for when it was delivered because it was important documents. I gave him the address and then started to argue that the address I gave him was incorrect and then he messed up the shipping multiple times before he had to call someone to fix his mistake all with the most arrogant attitude. I will NEVER go back to this store again. Long story short, I told him to cancel the whole thing and I'll go to FedEx to ship it. read more

If I could give a negative star review I would. I went to this place because I have had nothing but lost mail with the United Postal Services in my town. I wanted a a tracking number so I could see when the package was delivered. She rung everything up and I paid for it. She did not tell me it was going through the postal service I did not want to begin with. So now I have 0 tracking capability and no sign on receipt either.... WHICH I DID ASK FOR!!! I got none of this, I should have just walked away when I noticed that the employees are outside the door smoking cigarettes... both of them! Called the owner and he showed 0 customer service skills. Pretty much told me, you get what you got and tough! Hope it works out for you, even seemed disturbed in having to deal with me. I trusted your employee and got ripped off. Should have just taken the mail and delivered it myself. Obviously getting you the services you request is not an important technique for this place. Just a heads up... the employee walked back inside after smoking. Did not wash hands, I doubt they sanitized, then touched everything I shipped to my elderly mother, without her mask on! Granted there is a sign that requires you to wear one. This place is very controversial in its customer service and I would be ashamed to claim ownership! Had to ship some things back home to another state. These things were priceless. They were items given to me from my uncle who had passed away. We brought them in and went over box size and so on. When we received the package, it was packed so well and nothing was broken. They took into consideration every last detail. I would definitely recommend the UPS Store! read more

I stopped in this store to ship a handgun to the factory in Utah for repairs. The young lady told me that they were a franchise office & not licensed for that so I had to take it to the huge UPS depot in the industrial park at Hollister. (I stopped by another mailing store that dealt w/ UPS over on Green Mnt. Dr. and that clerk told me the same thing) So, I went to the big UPS depot, which is open an inconvenient 2 hours a day. That clerk told me absolutely not, it was illegal to ship firearms unless you were a *dealer* (untrue) of firearms. Off to a dealer I go, prepared to pay $50 to ship the damn thing, which was what I was trying to avoid in the 1st place. This dealer told me that those employees were completely ignorant of the law. They could ship it, or the USPS could even ship it because it was being SENT to a factory/dealer. I went to the post office and it was NOT on the list of prohibited items (like chemicals, corrosives, explosives) so I got it insured and mailed for far cheaper than what UPS would have charged ($12). The sign says The UPS Store, but owner Russ Powers does not guarantee delivery of packages. I have never written a negative review of a business, but am forced to in this situation. After spending $170 to ship a package from Branson to Dallas, TX with a 2 business day delivery guarantee and a $57 large package surcharge, the delivery of my package was repeatedly delayed, with no explanation except that UPS is busy this time of year. After being guaranteed reimbursement of the delivery charges by Chancy (a long-term employee of this store), the owner, Russ Powers, denied reimbursement claiming that his store is an independently owned franchise and is not liable for the delivery of packages. Before you pay to ship anything through this store, I strongly recommend that you get Mr. Powers' personal guarantee on the shipment. If you do not receive this guarantee, Mr. Powers will claim the following (excerpt of his email attached below): "I regret to inform you that our request of a Guaranteed Service Refund (GSR) from United Parcel Service (UPS) was denied. Unfortunately the size of the package shipped disqualified it from this money back guarantee. Larger packages often require additional handling that can sometimes cause delays as it unfortunately did in your case. As part of the transaction you agreed and signed our Parcel Shipping Order (PSO) form which outlines the Terms & Conditions of the shipment. As it states in that form, we (The UPS Store) are not liable for the carrier's failure to timely delivery. We made sure that the package was addressed properly with all the correct information as verified by you. We made sure it was labeled properly and inserted into the UPS system as part of our centers daily pick up. As an independently owned and operated The UPS Store we do not personally transport the packages and therefore are not liable for the delivery of the packages. That responsibility, along with the time in transit commitments belong to UPS." read more

Fast and friendly. They can handle all your shipping needs for UPS and USPS. USPS picks up at 12 noon 6 days aweek and UPS will pick up at 6pm Monday - Friday. Sat is about 12 noon. There is a FedEX drop off box out front if you have your own prepaid label. read more

This store is amazing! We went to them for printing needs and they went above and beyond. From fixing formatting hurdles, to very precise cuts, and even the owner personally staying 20 minutes after close to help meet our needs. Unfortunately this happened upon two occasions but even on the second visit, service was more than we could have ever asked for. After working through items with the owner, my voice was recognized weeks later when I called with a new question. I've used the local Branson UPS store several times and generally had good results. On 12/3/13 I called to ask for a phone number for the local UPS delivery center and was left on hold. I finally hung up and called back, and was rudely told, "honey, I don't have that number". I'm not all that sensitive, however, I informed her that I was not her "honey." Ugh! read more

HORRIBLE customer service. I walked into the store where there were two other people, an employee and a customer. The employee turned, looked at me and then turned back around without uttering a WORD. I stood at the counter for 5 minutes without being acknowledged at which point I walked towards the door and asked the employee if there was anyway I could ship my package; she turned and said she could help me when she was finished, but that she was the only one there. Now, I understand that one person can only do so many things, but this review could have been totally different if she had said "Hi, I'll be with you as soon as I can" or "Hello, I'm sorry, but I'm the only one here. I'll be with you shortly" As it stands, I think I'll take my business elsewhere. read more
