My favorite thing about this place are their hours--they're open until 5 pm on weekends and 6:30 pm on weekdays. Before coming here, I'd never seen a post office that's open until 5 pm on Sundays. There is also a parking lot, which is really nice if you drive. I've gone in quite a few times to ship packages and the workers are friendly + get the job done efficiently. When I arrived I was very happy to see a nice parking lot in front of the store. There were many available spaces and I was all set. When I entered the store I saw a very nice, clean shop that was very organized. The counter was clear and the retail area was well stocked. Matt was the man on the phone and the person who assisted me in the store. He was very knowledgeable and able to help me with both packages easily. The UPS store on Fullerton was closed for remodeling so I came here to send a package. The Fullerton store is outstanding with smart DePaul kids that do a great job. This place is always understaffed. There were 2 people ahead of me that took about 15 minutes total. After I was done there was a line out the door, no exaggeration. Only one lane open with a man who I assume is the owner. I will avoid this location whenever I can. read more

The very rude clerk had told me without more insurance they would not guarantee package wouldn't be lost or damaged. My understanding is that insurance proceeds are paid to store directly not to customer. All UPS locations are not created equal. Avoid this one at 1953 N Clybourne. read more

This store has the worst customer service. The two employees locked the door ten minutes early and refused to let me in. The youngest one actually cussed at me telling me that, ..."it's not his ****ing problem anymore." This store is around the corner from my house so the only other options are extremely inconvenient. This was my go-to UPS store for two years until today! I'd frequent this store multiple times a month to print out one page for a shipping label and ship off all my returns there, free of charge. Employees were always super kind and I got in and out in a jiffy. However I stopped by today to print off my usual one-page shipping label and an employee told me it's a $3 charge for all printing, no matter how many pages you're printing. I asked if this was a new policy and he said no, it's always been this way. This specific employee (and the other one behind the desk) has never once charged me for printing! For two years! I told him that and he said it must've been someone else bc he would've charged me. Nah dude it was you!! Then he said their boss Kevin says they have to enforce the policy. These two employees were super nice to me and I'm sorry Kevin has put them in this dumb position where they have to deal w my annoyance for charging me three bucks for one page of print wherein the ink took up 1/4 of the page. Huge bummer, I'll never come to this store again. This $3 printing charge is greedy, Kevin! read more

Here on a Sunday mid-day and it was chaos. We had placed an online print order that stated would be available same-day, but when we arrived a few hours later they told us that they were too busy to print our documents so they would be cancelling our order. We instead had to wait in line to use the computer and print our documents at a lower quality print. Pretty disappointing. read more

Absolutely incredible customer service! All of their staff is extremely helpful and courteous. Came in to ship a set of porcelain figurines and ceramic plates, was given the in's and out's of UPS's insurance policy and the packaging process. After shipping cross country, all my stuff arrived in pristine condition! 10/10, would recommend to anyone trying to avoid the awful service at the post office or FedEx. The negative reviews I've been reading on here sure seem like cases of mismanaged frustration and arrogance on behalf of customers thinking they know best. I don't know why everyone is hating on this UPS Store location; I've used this location for all of my shipping for the last three years and never had an issue. Since my family is in New York, I'm in here near every birthday and holiday. I'm often that person who is rushing in at 6:55 and they close at 7. Regardless, the people who work here are always kind and courteous. I'll be coming here for as long as I live in the area. I love that they now have all my addresses stored since I can never seem to remember them. They also have a small selection of cards in case you are in a pinch. My only complaint is that they don't ship to PO boxes since that means I have to make a trip to the post office where they are much less nice, but that is not this location's fault by any means. read more

I went here yesterday after a long commute to send a time sensitive package to a friend who just got out of the hospital. The credit chip reader wasn't working, so I asked to swipe to complete my purchase. It read as an error. I asked if they could input my number manually, they refused. I don't carry cash for safety, so I asked if I could try the other machine. They refused to try. I took my package and now have to wait til next week to deliver this to my friend. I went in with 3 items to ship and left with 2 of them, despite the 19 painstaking minutes spent in this store. It's like the staff was trying to not be helpful, and snarky, and pompous. At UPS, seriously?! After reading me the riot act about how the other UPS stores I frequent must be different experiences because they're franchises vs this store being run "by the book" , you would think items like your personal laptop, chargers, a open duffel bag, partially drank water bottles, open bags to ship(?), and just mess wouldn't be strewn on the counter in customer view, since your store is utter perfection and all. You have rules and you're regulated, I get it. You also have the choice to communicate in a helpful and positive way that's productive. You're a new location and it's a shame because I wanted to capitalize on the great location since I'm using UPS a lot, like 10-15 packages a month a lot. No amount of time saved is worth your snark and inefficiency. I will gladly spend my time waiting in line at another location, where they have lines, because they're busy. I went into the store to overnight ship three documents. The following is what occurred: - I arrived at 5:45pm. The policy is that overnight shipping needs to be completed by 6pm, so I thought GREAT! But since I had 3 packages, going to 2 separate places, the unhelpful associate said it would "take too long" to generate the shipping label (really?) and then proceeded to tell me it will be 2 day shipping at best. I said fine (even though I was charged for overnight shipping -- $50/envelope) - My husband and I were frustrated at check-out because we SAW the guy carrying out the overnight shipment. The associate then went on to defend himself saying that he was "overworked" and requested a day off for the following day but his boss is making him work. I can see why that would be upsetting to this associate, but the customer doesn't need to hear about it. Unprofessional. - I asked for tracking information to be sent to my Inbox - he took down my email wrong (I suppose anyone can make this mistake, I guess...) - I then call the next day to confirm my email and to receive my tracking information. The associate scanned over the information which I was thankful for. He said that my packages should be there the next day by 10:30 am. - Fast forward to this morning, tracking is now saying Thursday. That is a total of 3 business days from the time I shipped the OVERNIGHT package. Even if I "missed" the overnight cutoff, it still is delayed by an entire business day. - I called the UPS store but inquire about this and the associate had an attitude and said that I was late doing the overnight shipping. I understand that, but even if it went out the day later... I paid for overnight shipping, NOT 2-day shipping. Never again will I trust important documents/packages with this UPS location. read more

I'm just back from UPS on South Jefferson. Well worth the trip in order to insure my package against possible breakage. This UPS store on Armitage told me they do not insure packages for breakage and their insurance is not the UPS insurance. George, the knowledgeable and friendly guy at the South Jefferson location told me he did not know that some UPS stores don't offer the UPS insurance. So, just back on this store site to confirm my earlier warning but also to suggest you shop other UPS Stores in the area. Maybe they carry the UPS insurance. read more

Sent out a gift from this location on July 3rd, and it was never received by my friend. She never received any notices on her door, and the package was sent back to the Chicago unbeknownst to me, until I checked the tracking info today. My package has been sitting in Store #1192 for days, and no one called me to let me know that it had been returned. Cody, who I spoke to first was extremely kind and sympathetic to my situation. He apologized that no one had called me, but when he handed the phone off to his manager everything changed. Emily, the store manager, made no effort to rectify the situation. She lacks any sort of customer service skills whatsoever. From the moment she picked up the phone, she was hostile and accusatory. She actually laughed when I asked for a re-shipment fee to be waived because of the lack of communication on their end. She rudely informed me I was not 'entitled' to any compensation. And as far as them not calling me upon delivery, she basically told me I was lying. She said I had two choices to either pay a second time for shipping or come pick up the package and send it from somewhere else. I myself work in customer service - I treat people courteously and with respect...something that needs to be taught to Emily. I will NEVER consider shipping from this location again. There are many other places who are happy to help me without the attitude and obnoxious sarcasm. *Update* The UPS Store Customer Service Center refunded my $, and apologized for the terrible experience...so at least that was taken care of!! read more

I came here to use the notary services. There is a sign out on the business' window that lists notary as a service and yelp also lists it too. I asked the person working and he said there is no notary. I was told that the manager's name was spelled wrong so he's can't notarize. I asked if they would have future notary services and The response was that the manager is probably quitting so maybe not. I mentioned that the sticker that says notary on the window should be removed. I was told that the sticker is kind of stuck on the window. What I thought was going to be a quick errand now is going to take more time. read more

They convinced me that insurance/tracking were not necessary, and they then LOST the package COMPLETELY. ($150 worth, I might add) I was promised a call from the manager regarding the package and never got one. So I called her and she was BEYOND RUDE. I cannot tell you how disrespectful and unhelpful she was. STAY AWAY FROM this location, you will be better off to go to another UPS store. I am so surprised by the very negative reviews! As a small business owner I come here at least once a week for shredding, printing, or shipping. The guys are very sweet and patient with me, helping me find the lowest cost shipping options, or complete an incomplete address. They remember me when I come in. If I ever had an issue with something they printed they ALWAYS made it right and are nice about it. I go to this store over other UPS stores and certainly before going to the post office. They can ship via USPS if necessary, but without the long lines or the cranky government employees. Plus, they always tape the package for me, which is such a nice touch. At the post office there is no way they would help you out like that! read more

Be very careful. I don't ship a lot, but my only 2 recent transactions involved my being overcharged. On the second transaction when I asked the clerk about it, he responded: "So, you're saying we ripped you off?" Very defensive and condescending. I brought a package in to send to CA. I was charged for a residential recipient when it was a commercial recipient. The item was also charged at a higher weight than actual. On a prior visit, I sent a computer to FL. The weight was again higher than actual. "We were having trouble with our scale." The store did refund in both instances. Do I really have to double check them? The attitude of the employees when asked was indifference. Clearly they don't care. read more

AVOID THIS STORE. Unfortunately, I have been to this location many times, and it only gets worse. The first time being in August, when they lost a package. They offered ZERO remorse, and essentially said "it happens." While I agree, they were extraordinarily rude and condescending-- offering no help or solutions. I also went today to print. While having difficulty with the computer, they completely avoided me (and it wasn't even busy). They just stood there. When I asked for help, they brushed me off. Big bald guy was NOT helpful on this trip. Was shipping 2 packages for my husband and he gave me only the city/state. They employee told me the zip was the most important part. Of course, so he watched me google and my phone was slow. He offered no help and he was not busy. I then called my husband as well as his office so someone could look it up for me.
