Unreal. They can't find packages listed as being delivered. Ask multiple times for my name, while holding my license in their hand. After offering them the tracking number, which they declined, ultimately they asked me for it. Second time wit this nonsense. They have no idea where they put valuable packages. Now I will have to await their call as they "find" the package. Not to mention an inability to help their customers with basic returns and slow service. If you have options, RUN to a different UPS store. This one is an unmitigated disaster. read more

RUDE!!! The service person (assume owner) must have thought he was belittling a child when speaking to me, I quickly adjusted that wrong perspective. This seems to be a trait of this man, as I witnessed his unacceptable behavior to another customer on my last visit. Based on reviews, this man is a very bad apple and is killing the reputation and customer loyalty to UPS services. Needed to return an iPhone to Verizon for trade-in. Took it in, in the original box, and the guy said he couldn't put a label on that box and I needed to have him package it up for $4. The process according to Verizon states UPS will package it for you. Took it to UPS in Mt. Airy and they did...said Verizon pays them to do so. Turf Valley UPS tried to rip me off. The most incompetent men running this place. I submitted a print order and showed up when it said it would be ready and they hadn't even opened it yet. I had to stand there and watch them print my wrong order. And then when I asked for a refund and just go somewhere else that won't waste my time they didn't know how to refund me. Very bad experience in this store today. The person who waited on me began with a sigh as if immediately frustrated. He was rude and uninformative. He never did understand the question I was asking, was not helpful and did not explain things clearly. I think I spent more than I needed to. Came out feeling very discouraged. I did let him know that dealing with him was very unpleasant and he just replied "thank you". He acts like he is miserable having to wait on customers and do his job. read more

I walked into this location and the associate Anil is very rude. There was no greeting just eyes looking at me up and down. I had Amazon return and also a couple of other transactions. When I gave him the Amazon package he looked at me and said, " you need to seal." I was fine with that but noticed that there wasn't a sticky seal on the foam padding so I asked him did he have some tape. No response and printed the label and just stuck it on the package and put it to the side. All I asked was for some tape and I wouldn't even mind if he told me I had to purchase a roll of tape to do so but I felt like I offended him just by asking for tape. He still didn't say anything besides, "you need to seal," eye roll and handed my receipt my entire visit. It was just a cold and uninviting experience. You just opened up and already have bad customer service. I will not come to this location again. read more

I WAS having a great day until I interacted with the man at the UPS store. I observed his behavior with a "regular" male customer. He was helpful and smiling. When it was my turn, he barked at me because my one of my barcodes said Whole Foods. I told him I'd go into my Amazon account and change it. He barked at me again to move away from the counter because he had a long line. Plus he aggressively told me to move my purse away from the scale. What the heck, dude, you should do your family a favor and not work with customers. I waited in line again with the right barcode. Once again, he was snappy. My happy demeanor disappeared and I didn't converse. He knew it and mumbled a thank you. Next time pal, I'm writing to the franchise owner and corporate. I wasn't in a hurry. I was on my lunch break. Also in my 15 minutes of observation, you belittle women and customers who don't have a financial transaction. read more

Hi. This seems to be a recurring theme. I got here about five minutes before closing. We called them ten minutes before closing. No one answered the calls. And, when we got there, the door was closed. We saw two employees inside. And they waved their hands that they were closed. We were still sitting in our car - when the employees walked out sharply at seven. When I asked them, what gives. They responded " you need to be here at 6:45." To which we responded, not professional. There are many choices. And, we will be exercising them. read more

I've always been greeted in a friendly manner and my items have been packaged for return to companies (free drop off & package, company pays for return). Great independent location! I choose to come here and have for years. Every time I've left feeling they took great care of my package and it was easier than if I did it myself. Thanks to all the staff! Horrible experience, very rude staffs. The Indian lady demanded me to move the boxes while she was scanning the barcode. I have been here many times, never greet me, very negative attitude towards Amazon returns. Even with these many people complained about their customer service, they don't care. Overcharges for items (charged $3 for one paper printed and it was a label and didnt even let me print since he told me to wait in line again). From where I live the Turf Valley (Mall?) location is fantastic! They just opened up and we've used these guys for printing service, notary services, and to send stuff. It's a UPS store so it's not as if the services are revolutionary. You know what these stores offer. They're clean, friendly, well located? I mean what's not to like? I haven't been there when they're busy yet, but I imagine that's just a matter of building up knowledge of their location. Small business = patronize these guys! read more

This is a fairly new UPS location and I'm so glad it's so close to my house. I've joined Yerdle about 10 months ago and this has been my go-to location for shipping my stuff off, which happens to be over 600 items. Staff is friendly and efficient, it makes my life so much easier. Hours are good except for Saturday they close earlier than the other UPS in Ellicott city, (they are open 9-3 on sat) but they have been very reliable. Even during the snow storm, I could count on them to be open. read more

I took some items to this store and paid them to pack them. They failed to pack glass items in bubble wrap and instead used air pillows. The package was destroyed by ups and the store has refused to accept responsibility. I would be very careful allowing this store to pack anything. read more

Horrible one of the bigger stores terribly slow and understaffed I would suggest going to the another one.

One woman who works here is the slowest person I have ever met and whenever I have to go there when she's working I have to plan on being there at least 30 minutes...and that's if there's no line. She seems to have no clue how the shipping system works despite working there for several months. I'm finally fed up enough to walk out the door and drive to a different UPS location when I see she's working, which is a lot. read more

I stopped by this store to mail a package. I had a question about how to send liquid contents so I showed the clerk what I was about to send. She figured the best way and packed up the contents. The package was returned a week later damaged and items missing. I tried to submit a claim but was denied because UPS said it wasn't packed correctly. I reached out to the local manager but was ignored. I would have rated my experience 1 star but Yelp wouldn't let me. Stay away. read more

Be warned. This is a terrible and unreliable place to make shipments. This UPS store did not deliver my package the next day as was promised. It cost me a fortune in penalties that the check that was enclosed was not received. I paid to have a letter size UPS envelope picked up by 6:30 pm Thursday and delivered next day, Friday, by 10:30 am to Oklahoma. When I went to check the tracking, the package was not picked up from the UPS store until Friday! Thus the package was not received in Oklahoma until Monday morning! I am still disgusted. I called the manager to complain, I never got a call back, only received a letter with an apology, and misspelled words, enclosing a refund of the $40 I paid to ship the package to begin with. I will NEVER use this store again! read more

They are relatively new comparing to the other UPS store. The store is super clean and staff (manager, I guess) is very friendly. I rented a UPS box and hope their service will be outstanding of the stores in the region. read more
