Bad experience coupled with incompetent help. Very sad as the prior owner ran a good business. Ok, death in my family and 6 of us enter the store with lots of family art, books, glassware, valuable chairs, antiques. We live thousands of miles away and could think of no other way to send our remembrances home. The packing jobs were horrible. Little bubble wrap. No peanuts. No chance of surviving. Why do I say this? My UPS driver asked me to photograph the damaged box and the damaged contents. He had worked in a Brown Store prior and understood packing. He told me the package was oversized to create increased fee. Little to no wrapping. He helped me file a claim with UPS and within a day I was refunded 100% packing and shipping fees. The young staff at the Huntington Store were overwhelmed at the size of our shipments. They were clueless in service. My brothers had smashed chairs, vases, and frames. They will file with UPS as well for all costs back. read more

So apparently the $500 Bloomingdale's return I dropped off to UPS on Christmas Eve hasn't moved for two weeks and I have to file a claim. Because of the shipping label insurance the store provided me, I may only get $100 back for their theft or screw up. To say I am enraged is an understatement. read more

I often have to return things and the UPS store in Huntington on 9th Ave is very nice. They always get customers in and out quickly.

Worst place to use if your shipping anything, I paid for over night air and it took over 10 days. I've called for weeks asking for the manager and she refuses to come to the phone. Employee just says she is out right now they can take a message and she will call me back. Clearly they are liars and she is dodging calls and not helping file a claim for refund. Customer service for ups has made it clear that the store has to be the one to start the claim. read more

Usually the workers here are very helpful but the lady today just was not!! She gave everyone a hard time before me, including this sweet old lady. Told her that she would 'have to weigh it and measure it and all that', isn't that your job!!? When I get up there she says that Amazon won't accept my return cause I don't have it in a box, Amazon says there's no box needed or label. This lady was just lazy and didn't want to do her job! Super understaffed for the demand here. This must be the UPS Store in the city. My boyfriend and I flew into Huntington on an Allegiant flight and I was so happy to see they had a UPS store as he had to close on his new house the same day (poor planning). We came in hoping it wouldn't take too long to do what was needed, aka send things, accept things, sign things, etc. The staff was great. And patient. The problem was that people kept filing into the store by the minute. And each customer had way more than a minute's worth of work. So the BF sent me to the liquor store to kill two birds with one stone and calm down. He was done within 45 minutes. But still, that is a long time to be in the UPS Store. The crazy in front of him needed like 10 packages wrapped. Again, the staff here is knowledgeable and patient, but they have a lot to deal with. I did see the manager running around like crazy. I wish they offered appointment times as I feel like that may ease the amount of people filing in at a single moment. read more

I passed one of their UPS trucks today and the back door was open and a package fell out onto the side of the road. The driver was on his phone, he was a black man, I hope that helps identify the truck. Also I recently bought something online, and the tracking on the UPS site was very wrong in terms of arrival by a week. They never picked up the phone when I called. read more

If today was my only experience I wouldn't write the review, I would make allowances for COVID-19 staffing and other issues. But this is my my consistent experience here. This is the only UPS Store location within 30-50+ miles and when you have to do certain Amazon returns the only option. I have visited different days, times etc. and with 1-2 exceptions (out of over 10 visits) there are ALWAYS 6+ people in line and the wait is long, this is not just drop, scan and go. The store is under staffed (though the staff are friendly). They need to figure out staffing and/or a way to process Amazon drop-offs in a timely manner, especially in this season of distancing. I am not/can't stand in a small store with 10+ other people for 30-45 minutes to drop off ready to go amazon returns. Please find a fix! read more

My husband went here to ship champagne from our wedding back to NYC. They apparently can't ship liquor however we still needed the proper box/wrapping. The manager asked why we are shipping champagne and then went on to ask how expensive the bottles were (very tacky). When we told him 'a lot' and tried to leave it at that, he jacked the price up to $30. What a joke. Note this was just for the box and wrapping (not even the shipping). read more

Also some lady gave my husband the finger as he got to the door 2 minutes before it was supposed to be locked and to no surprise it was already locked! This is a small store. It was neat, it is central and clean. The two clerks were helpful to all the customers, including me. When I arrived, one of the clerks was helping a young mom to make copies of pictures of her baby for Christmas, he worked until he got them right and the other clerk was helping customers to ship their gifts before Christmas. It is the human touch and the desire to help with a happy spirit that will make the whole difference when going to a store and I witnessed this spirit at it's best! read more

I am an Independent Beauty Consultant and sell Mary Kay products. I shipped 4boxes from WV to FL for a party there when I went for a wedding. I got 3 boxes in time Friday 3rd. the 4th went back to me a few blocks away. Since I had housesitters there I asked the label on the box. One label was blank cause it had been tore off. The other label said to my address from several months prior to October. So I had them not to open the label to just take it to UPS so they could put a label on it (which they should have done the first time). The wedding was Sunday. So I finally got the UPS Store on Monday since I still needed the other box. I told them I had to have the other box by Wednesday 10am. I was told they could send it in time by air. That was at 8:30am. Well I thought even though the wedding party didn't get it, I would still be able to get it in time for my show by Wednesday 10am. They talk to me at 5:55pm to tell me it was a mistake and they can't send it by air. They can ship it by ground but can't guaranty it will get there by 10am. So I told them to keep the box and I will be there Friday to get it. Because of them NOT labeling it the right way...I am out a lot of money. They had the box with the big products, thus the big money I could have made. I instead had a $500 show which didn't even pay my airplane ticket. Let alone the shipping to send the I paid. I will not use them again!!!!!!! Guess I am happy for the clothes got it there or I would have to buy new clothes too! read more
