This is the best UPS store in the area. I went to another location and the rep was not helpful and told me to leave. I went here and they scanned a return and had me out the door in minutes with a receipt. The staff is so friendly and kind. Night and day to other stores. Great customer service here! The man held the door for me; helped carry in my boxes; untaped and retape when I needed to look for an item. Ensured I was sending the item at the lowest price (ground was cheaper and faster than air). He threw away my garbage and wished me a great day. I have never experienced any of this type of treatment at any other UPS location. Matawan is also near Starbucks if you need coffee afterwards. read more

Thank you for your help with shipping a package for delivery 1-2 days. I had called and spoke to the boss who was very helpful in providing me with an affordable option for the cost of a package to PA. Knowing that cookies are perishable, I wanted the fastest delivery method with the beat price. I mistakenly forgot to add the apartment number to the address the first time going into the store. Frantically, I went back to amend the issue and the boss kindly went onto the ups truck himself, found the package and redid the shipping label. He even did not charge me the extra dollar for the additional fee! I presumed to give the ups shipping worker the box who was loading up the truck. I recommend this kind service to anyone and was very thankful for the pleasant experience. read more

The owner of this UPS store is the only bad element here. He's rude and aloof, and I've witnessed it so many times. He recently pretty much refused to help me with an international package since I booked the shipment on UPS.com as he said he's NOT UPS, but the instead the UPS Store and they have nothing to do with each other. He was 100% able to help, he just refused. To a consumer who sees the UPS brand which he uses, it's all one and the same and I can't imagine the UPS Store franchise department would welcome his behavior. I've taken so much business to him in the past, always leaving with a bad taste in my mouth with his attitude and behavior. I also always support small local business, but never again with this guy. He completely doesn't deserve my business. read more

This is my favorite UPS store location in the area to mail packages. I'm always in and out quickly which is incredible because I go several times a week and I never have to worry about waiting. One time I got there super close to closing and they were nice enough to wait for me. Derek, Chris, and Kevin are super nice, always thorough, and go out of their way to help -- Chris has helped me with heavy packages several times which I really appreciate. The owner Josh is really kind and helpful, he holds the door open and takes packages from you when he sees you approaching the door. I ship a lot of packages and used to use both UPS and FedEx but I now exclusively use UPS because the experience here is unmatched and this location makes my trips so much easier and pleasant so my work day is that much better. I definitely recommend this UPS store for shipping and they have so many other services. It's also between an Italian bakery and Starbucks, so.. enjoy. read more
