Like most retail operations as of late, The UPS Store in Inwood (Broadway b/t West 204th & Academy Streets) is woefully understaffed (hire more employees and pay them decently, UPS Corporate!). That being said, the staff that work at the UPS Inwood store are friendly, genuinely helpful, and knowledgeable about the different solutions offered by UPS. Every time my husband and I visit this location, we always walk out and comment to each other about how this employee did an amazing job at diffusing an argument between two customers or how that employee stayed an extra 30 mins past closing time to ensure we had everything we needed from our (massive) on-site print job (yes, both of those are true stories from July 2025). They go above and beyond for every customer that walks in the store, Many of the services that UPS offers are slightly more expensive than places in Inwood; however, I know that I can depend on the staff at the Inwood UPS Store to get our job done *correctly* and *on-time* -- something for which we will gladly pay extra or wait in a line for 10 minutes. After having dealt with other business service providers in Inwood (if you live here, you know who I'm referring to), the team at the UPS Store in Inwood has saved us time and energy. read more

The poor people that work here. How sad to be so mistreated. Their cortisol levels must be through the roof. And yet they're doing their level best. The place was mobbed and there was this one willowy fellow calmly helping everyone in turn. But this is just insane. I can't believe that UPS would do that to their employees. One person dealing with EVERYTHING. I give that poor guy so much credit. He was not surly at all, which I most definitely would be if I had to work there for even 15 minutes. UPS shouldn't be treating its employees this way. And there should be something clearly posted on the front door that lets people know about the self-service kiosk so that the queue can perhaps be reduced. I've been going to this UPS store since it was down just above Dyckman. Their packages go out through Yonkers, not the sometimes troubled Bronx center. They are sometimes crowded but always efficient, and there's a new weighing and scanning station at the new place that makes it easy to avoid the line with pre-labeled materials, so I'm really happy about that. staff has always been amazing and helpful. I sent this UPS store a message online, let them know I needed to have a last will and testament notarized. I made an appointment. I call the morning of the appointment to let them know what I needed. I I went there. Waited online for 15 minutes. Ordered something online to be delivered here so I could pick it up (a normal service that UPS offers with some online stores). Had the UPS tracking up, literally the second they received the package, they sent it RIGHT back to sender. Didn't wait even a single hour!! I was at work and was gonna pick up the package after work THAT SAME DAY, but I got two emails back to back -- "your item has been delivered" and "you didn't pick up your item in time, so it's being sent back". If y'all can't handle holding one bag of old navy clothes for literally 6 hours, maybe y'all shouldn't offer yourselves as a UPS pickup point to vendors. What gives!!! read more

I went in to have some documents shredded and asked that it be done now as I waited. The salesperson said "Absolutely" and dumped the documents in a container without shredding them. This is the second time this has happened there. The "Absolutely" guy seemed to enjoy the fact that he was lying through his teeth. read more

Usually, when I come to this UPS, a gentleman helps me with everything. The young man is extremely professional; he gives every customer the time that is needed, but does not take forever. Yesterday I went, and the young lady who assisted me was not very friendly. She had this "I don't care" attitude, and it was not cool. Probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I brought something in to be packed that was prepaid - and the associate was unknowledgeable and dismissive. It is incredible that a company such as UPS can invest in signage such as "packing by certified experts" and the person receiving the item to be packed cannot even determine a box size - much less assure in some professional way that your precious item will be treated well. Keeping my fingers crossed that it gets packed well and arrives safely. UPS, invest in better training for your front office team! Simple questions asked politely should not be like pulling teeth for a response. read more

This is a terrific UPS Store. I needed my son to send me his computer and directed him to this store, which promptly boxed it with plenty of padding in a sturdy box and shipped it to me insured in Miami. It arrived on my front porch during a rainstorm a few days later, well protected and well handled. The tracking information was helpful, particularly since it arrived so quickly. I'm giving it three stars because it got the job done, the fellow who helped me was very attentive though not as confident in his knowledge as I would expect. Also, he was doing all the work while three ladies sat around talking (maybe they were on break?) while a line formed behind me. Even though I wasn't entirely prepared with my shipment, he got it handled and in a reasonable time frame. My main complaint is that the place was too warm, stuffy, and smelled like trash day! Their three visible trash cans were full of what looked like food wrappers etc., and I guess everyone had been there long enough to get used to it. It was gross but I needed their services and after being there for a while...I kind of got used to it too. Yuck. Hey ladies! Help a brother out! The word "extortion" comes to mind. I can't help thinking that the manager and employees are pocketing cash from fake charges. My roommate went here to have some pages printed from her USB. After they printed her pages, they wanted to charge her an additional $3 for opening the file! When she disputed the charge, they threatened to shred her documents. Appalling. She said, "Go for it" and took her business elsewhere. **She went to Express Wireless at 4915 Broadway and they not only printed her pages no problem, they even discounted a pair of earbuds for her. Had to pay $5 to pick up a package. I asked why and the girl working there told me it was because it was shipped to the store directly. I purposefully did a pick up because I had problems with UPS losing my mail ie the carrier not leaving notes or scanning the barcodes etc. So when I complained, the girl working there told me because I don't live in the neighborhood I have to pay. She said if they shipped it to my house and I wasnt home then the pick up would have been free. But because I took precautions to make sure I get my package and went there to pick it up, they charge me 5 dollars. The girl working here "Skye" threw my package on the counter when she handed it to me. She had a disgusting attitude and told me it was not her charging me for the 5 dollars but the company. My elderly mom is not computer savvy, and went to this store for help with an email and printing out of some documents. She said the staff were all pleasant and helpful. She said one young lady in particular had such patience with her and went out of her way to help her. She said that the young lady who she believes her name is Leila or something like that (remember she's elderly) stayed past her time at work to help her since the other employees were busy. My mom said she truly appreciated her staying later just to help a very confused old lady get what she needed..:) Because of this alone I gave them a 5 Star. I ran into the store this afternoon after calling to make sure they could accommodate my multiple shipments. Stephanie was cheerful and welcoming on the phone, and Paul (I think he's a supervisor) was incredibly patient and professional, helping me pack and ship multiple items of varying weights and sizes. This in spite of there being a line of customers, with one particularly rude man who started complaining about the wait after being there only 5 minutes. Despite his being rude and obnoxious, Paul maintained his professional demeanor. (I don't envy him dealing with some of the clientele at this location.) All the employees were patient and helpful, despite the spectacle this one man was making of himself . Probably best to come earlier in the day to avoid the crowds LOL. read more

After waiting 15 minutes in line, i.e. an amorphous blob of discombobulated and equally irate customers, this puta madre pulled a fast one and billed me almost 3 and a half dollars to copy a single page. I should've maced him but it would've been to no avail, he was already so squinty eyed from all the drugs they probably do in the back behind the jumbled shipping boxes. This whole block should be razed and replaced with businesses that actually have integrity. Update: A couple months later and it's look like they've fired the riffraff that was letting this ship sink. An extra star given for the presumption that a GM must have walked in here with a machete and slashed throats, like lots of people do after dark in this up and coming neighborhood. read more

It was always a pleasure to interact with the UPS crew in Inwood, Manhattan until meeting Stefanie. Her unpleasant rapport and insisting to charge $1 to put a small strip to seal a box when I have never had a UPS team member do this just left a bitter and unpleasant aftertaste. Her pettiness almost made me walk out but unfortunately there is no other UPS location nearby and she took that $1 with a big grin. What a shame, when most of other UPS team members are a pleasure to talk with, work with and rely on. It's people like her that put a dent on a brand and reputation of a company that strives for excellence in both delivery and customer service. This place to me is more a den of incompetence. Took the guy almost 20 minutes to send a fax, only then he noticed that he had sent a previous customers fax again instead of mine because he was chatting and texting throughout. I also had ordered business envelopes with my address on it, For steep $50 I got the simplest plain, thin, white envelopes (i had expected security envelopes) that had been run through their computer printer. They were still curved from the printer cartridge. A job I could have easily done at home myself. If i pay fro printed envelopes, I expect a PROFESSIONAL printing job, not something I could do at home myself. read more

The good: they exist. They offer everything you'll need for shipping and more. And they do try. The wait is never that long. And the staff used to be very friendly. Stephanie the manager is super cool and helpful. I think they might have recently been bought by someone new because the staff was suddenly different -- a bunch of laidback dudes in their teens who know nothing about shipping, compared to the girls who used to work there, and they were all wearing different colored uniforms. If that's the case, maybe they'll soon hire on some better suited staff once they realize how lame they are. In general the convenience of the place and it's location makes it essential. But for some reason they often totally missed their shipping deadlines for our company about 25% of the time. Like overnight didn't arrive the next day but instead took two to three days. Not sure why. In their defense when this did happen they would usually file a claim for us and then UPS would then mail is a refund check a few weeks later. So just remember to do that if they miss their deadline. read more

I don't print often, but when I do, I usually print large documents. Not only do I have to pay to use the computer to pull up my files, but it's over 50 cents a page to print BLACK AND WHITE... Yeah, no... And the staff is so miserable and never seems to have time (or concern) for their customers. Miserable!!! read more
