** !! DO NOT USE THIS STORE !! ** If I could give ZERO stars, I would!!! . I have a mailbox at the 7870 Tidewater Drive location in Norfolk, VA. I received an email indicating packages were delivered. One was delivered on 9/24/2025, so I went to this store on 9/29/2025 to pick up my packages. I was handed two (2) small items. There was still one (1) missing, that I was not aware of at the time. I returned to this store on 10/02/2025 because additional packages were delivered. I also checked my mailbox. Packages: Again, on 10/02/25, I was handed two small packages. I informed the associate that a package was delivered on 9/24/2025 that I did not receive 3-days prior with my last package pickup. I was told there were no other packages for me. Using my cell phone, I retrieved my email containing the FedEx tracking number and showed this to the associate at the counter. The associate left the counter and returned with my LARGE box. I asked, "Why wasn't this box given to me 3 days ago?" The associate referred me to the "manager" - a morbidly obese white man named "Chris." I repeated my inquiry to him. His response, "You have a lot of packages coming here and you said you have friends that deliver to your mailbox. They are not supposed to do this." Question: What does this have to do with my package sitting in your store since 9/24/2025 and it is now 10/02/2025!! Furthermore, I have since corrected my friends who were ordering items to be delivered to me---OVER A YEAR AGO!!! Chris continued to talk about packages being sent to my mailbox. I ask you, HOW DOES YOUR MANAGER KNOW WHETHER I or a FRIEND HAVE ORDERED ITEMS FOR DELIVERY to my mailbox???? And, is this the current issue in question?? Chris went on to say, "On 9/29/25 you signed for 3 items." I responded, "I was handed only 2 items." Chris then stated, "You signed for this box on 9/29/25." I asked, "Why wasn't this box given to me on 9/29/25 then?" Chris had no response. I then asked for a print out of the packages being picked up today. Chris indicated there is no way for him to do this. I then stated, "So your staff can indicate in your computer that they have given me 3 packages when in reality I was only given 2 and I have no proof of this because NOTHING appears on the computer screen when I sign for my packages? This opens the door for dishonesty, on the store's part, for holding a package and not giving it to me." The manager had no significant response to provide me with. Mail: Incoming mail sits all along the counter top in rubber bands or in piles. It is not distributed to the mailboxes that people are paying monthly for. I informed the manager, Chris, about this also because in the past I have waited DAYS to retrieve expected mail only to find that it has been "sitting on the counter" each time I enter this store. ************ The manager's response to my package and mail concerns I presented, "If you dont like it, you dont have to renew your mailbox when it's due." With that said, I am now in the process of determining who I will have a new PO box with once my current UPS mailbox lease ends. The manager's response was unprofessional and, in my opinion, is not reflective of who/what UPS stands for. The UPS parent store needs to place a closer watch on the individually owned and operated locations. They are not doing a very good job at all. You have lost a once valued customer. Based upon your reviews, Also, I am not the only person voicing my concerns about this Tidewater Drive location store manager. Convenient Norfolk location with less than ideal points of entry and exit. Traffic flow is odd, parking spaces are narrow with an often busy/full lot. They offer printing/document finishing services, fax and notary services, shipping and moving supplies, not to mention mailbox and white glove services, albeit for premiums. Employees are neither friendly nor rude, just there accepting and sending packages, though some days quicker than others. PRO TIP: manager informed me this location stores Amazon pre-auth returns until there's a large enough batch to go back; could be an issue if you bring the item toward the backend of the return window. read more

I decided to go to the UPS Store this morning because I had some files that I needed to print. There was only one person working there on a Saturday. The line was long. I usually have one of the employees do printouts from the computer using my little zip drive. However, the computer at this location was out of service. I was advised that I could still print the files from the computer by inserting my zip file. The printer worked for a few minutes and then I ran into some problems with it. Unfortunately, the employee was not able to move from the counter and assist me with the printer because he was very busy. read more

UPS Store #5919 I had a package processed through this store and sent vis USPS. the package was return to my address after a few weeks for insufficient information on the custom's form. the store employee named Michael gave me the run around when I went back to get a refund for my $100.55. I was sent to the post office which sent me back then was told I needed to contact USPS' customer service which also referred me back to the store for him to finally tell me that I was SOL since I was the one who didn't give enough information for the customs' form. Over 3 visits this place mishandled over $150 worth of returns to Amazon.com. All of my returns were scanned in and I was given a receipt for them . Was given my refunds and then a month or so later received warning emails from Amazon about them needing to receive my return or they will rescind my refund. So ended up losing out on my money. It is unfortunate that my poor review is based mostly on the location and ease of finding/getting into this shopping center but there it is - that is an important part of the overall experience. I drove here from the Naval Base in Norfolk earlier today to mail a package. Not only did my GPS send me looking for roads that don't exist due to the recent roadwork at the intersection of Tidewater Drive and Little Creek Rd. but the small strip mall where this UPS is located is sandwiched between one-way streets and a confusing lowered intersection area. I believe this particular area is in transition and may be nicer when it is completed but I doubt it will be much easier to navigate because that's going to be impossible with all these confusing intersections and one-way streets sandwiched between buildings and cross streets that don't run parallel. In any event - after doing no less than THREE U-turns I was able to get into this small strip mall. The UPS store is newer - so in fairly good condition - it's small but seems to have nearly everything you'd need. They accept pre-paid packages which mine was, can box and ship your items, or can accept and hold mail if sent there for signature delivery. There were three people in front of me all dropping off items so it moved quickly and the young man who rang me up was very friendly and nice. It almost made up for the terrible orientation of the building - almost - but it didn't because it took me longer to find and get into this place (there is only one way in as far as I can tell - at least from Little Creek Rd) than to drop off my package. No parking and/or ease of access is a HUGE deal breaker for me so I doubt I'll be coming back here unless I have no other choice at all and am pretty desperate. read more

Wow. What an absolute circus. Went in today to print off 140 pages worth of evidence for an upcoming court case. Every single page was cut off. Called to inquire about a refund after going home and checking my flash drive. The files on the flash drive were correct. I was told it shouldnt be a problem. I show up. They cant refund the pages. But offer to reprint them. They did and made it right. The other issue was that I was charged 3x what I should have for using the computer that I plugged my flash drive into to print the items. Their pricing was $2 for less than 5 minutes. And $5 for 6-10 minutes. I pointed this out and still wanted the refund for my overcharged time. The girl at the counter decided to argue with me in front of her manager and a bunch of other customers that I had been on it for more than 5 minutes. She wanted to only refund me $2 instead of $5. Absolutely rude and only said, "I don't have any reason to lie." She reluctantly gave me the $5. I had been on the computer for less than 2 minutes. I'm computer literate. Perhaps having a timer on the computer would eliminate this issue. Never going back. read more

Staff were friendly and helpful. It was busy during my visit, but all customers were treated with courtesy and were not made to feel rushed.

Just a shout out to hard working staff at holiday time. I needed to send a package off (at noon Saturday the week before Christmas). Probably the WORST time to go to the UPS store. I was in line 20 plus minutes and observed some of the worst human behavior by other customers. I want to applaud the customer service at this store. One young woman stayed smiling and pleasant, aware and attentive to each customers's needs despite all the Scrooges in line muttering and complaining. read more

This is my GO TO store. Access to the store is actually quite easy. I have never had any problem navigating into the parking area, and there are a number of ways to get there, you just have to get your head out of your GPS, look out the window, and there it is! First class customer service. I saw a review that someone was surprised that wrapping an item was extra. Don't know what planet they were from, but here on Earth all services cost money. In my experience with this store and UPS in general, for large packages they can almost always beat the USPS rate, and give better service times. I ship large heavy stuff frequently, and small/medium light weight stuff occasionally. I can count on UPS to be a good value every time. If I'm shipping something small and quite heavy, the USPS "if it fits it ships" boxes are my best bet. read more

I went to this UPS Store to have a couple of signatures notarized. Proudly displayed was a sign that said "Notary Services". Yet there was no one there that could do it. Note to UPS stores - Becoming a notary is pretty simple.... take a class, pay a small fee and have more than one person capable of this basic service at your store. read more

I went into the UPS store with boxed item I needed shipped. I wasn't sure if I was going to ship it or not, just wanted to see the cost. I was quoted $20. The owner of the store asked me if I wanted it wrapped. She did not tell me "wrapping" would cost more. No price was quoted at all. She takes my item in the back, put my item into a huge over sized boxed, comes back out and tells me I now owe her $70. That is over 3x the original amount quoted. At no point was I told "wrapping" would cost $50. I told her to forget it, to just give me my item back. She stated that she would not, that she was keeping my item. She further informed me that she owned that business and could whatever she wanted. In order to get my item back from her, I had to pay her $20. $20 for nothing. That is fraud. I did call UPS headquarters and they said because it's a franchise store, UPS cannot be held responsible. Don't go to this store! read more

Absolutely the worst service. My package arrived at this location and when I was trying to locate it I called and they told me they didn't have it. I logged onto the ups website and turns out it was at this store and when I arrived to get it I got attitude from them. I paid extra to have another package to arrive within a few days it took two weeks to finally get the package and I ended up having to go to the store to get it. read more

This review is long overdue. Back in April I had a mishap with something I ordered for a wedding that was supposed to be expedited. Long story short, it ended up having an arrival date for after the event. Patrick was amazing and helped me get the package re-routed to his store for earlier delivery. He went above and beyond to keep me in the loop and communicate with the UPS driver. It meant a lot to me that he was so attentive and helpful. It definitely changed my perspective of UPS for the better. Great store and phenomenal staff!!! read more

I shipped a package that was damaged in transit and all contents were lost. I get that these things happen. Called ups customer service to try and settle up and they referred me back to this store since they shipped it. I have now called 4 times to try and receive a refund on the shipment and reimbursement for the damaged goods and have yet to receive a call back or my money owed. We're not talking a ton of money here. I'm very disappointed as the website says I don't need to do anything for this to settle out, that ups will be contacting me to take care of me. To date I've received no notification and the shipment went out 18 November 2017. read more

The people are friendly enough, but not very efficient and I don't have much confidence in them. I had to send a large (but light) package to a family member and they quoted me a price of about $40. They then told me they could send it USPS for only $10, but there would be no tracking. I agreed to the lower rate. The problem is that this rate was for media mail (whatever that is) and my box did not qualify as media mail. So, the recipient had to pay another $35 for the package (not good). I later spoke with the owner (that's what her badge said) who tried to claim that the real price was $80 and they saved me $40. No, that is not accurate and I am not that dumb. Anyone can make a mistake, so I tried them again. This time to send a pre-paid overnight UPS letter. I joined a line of disgruntled customers who watched the lone clerk spend 20 minutes (I timed it) helping one customer who wanted prices for theoretical shipments he might send in the future (just give him the phone number or URL). Finally, I was given an envelope and relinquished the shipment. I asked for another envelope so I could have it all ready the next time. The clerk refused to give me one, stating "she has to pay for those things you know". Despite the convenience of the location, I will not be returning. read more

I have used this store for close to 10 years. I have three children in the military, and send frequent packages to them. The store is well organized, the service is always above par. I no complaints with them. My issue is with the Walmart that reworked the parking lot. They made it damn near impossible to work thru the maze of parking lot and barriers. Best way to access the store is from the Little Creek side, and stay far far away from the Walmart hell. read more
