I went there because the bots on the internet said the most likely place to purchase a post card…read morewas a UPS store and the bots were wrong ! UPS employee told me try Walgreens, which was also wrong! I went to Walmart and bought a greeting card for $5 and mailed it in Norfolk Beach VA to my 30 year old daughter as proof I left Maryland during Xmas and could not open presents until later in the week!

** !! DO NOT USE THIS STORE !! **…read more If I could give ZERO stars, I would!!! . I have a mailbox at the 7870 Tidewater Drive location in Norfolk, VA. I received an email indicating packages were delivered. One was delivered on 9/24/2025, so I went to this store on 9/29/2025 to pick up my packages. I was handed two (2) small items. There was still one (1) missing, that I was not aware of at the time. I returned to this store on 10/02/2025 because additional packages were delivered. I also checked my mailbox. Packages: Again, on 10/02/25, I was handed two small packages. I informed the associate that a package was delivered on 9/24/2025 that I did not receive 3-days prior with my last package pickup. I was told there were no other packages for me. Using my cell phone, I retrieved my email containing the FedEx tracking number and showed this to the associate at the counter. The associate left the counter and returned with my LARGE box. I asked, "Why wasn't this box given to me 3 days ago?" The associate referred me to the "manager" - a morbidly obese white man named "Chris." I repeated my inquiry to him. His response, "You have a lot of packages coming here and you said you have friends that deliver to your mailbox. They are not supposed to do this." Question: What does this have to do with my package sitting in your store since 9/24/2025 and it is now 10/02/2025!! Furthermore, I have since corrected my friends who were ordering items to be delivered to me---OVER A YEAR AGO!!! Chris continued to talk about packages being sent to my mailbox. I ask you, HOW DOES YOUR MANAGER KNOW WHETHER I or a FRIEND HAVE ORDERED ITEMS FOR DELIVERY to my mailbox???? And, is this the current issue in question?? Chris went on to say, "On 9/29/25 you signed for 3 items." I responded, "I was handed only 2 items." Chris then stated, "You signed for this box on 9/29/25." I asked, "Why wasn't this box given to me on 9/29/25 then?" Chris had no response. I then asked for a print out of the packages being picked up today. Chris indicated there is no way for him to do this. I then stated, "So your staff can indicate in your computer that they have given me 3 packages when in reality I was only given 2 and I have no proof of this because NOTHING appears on the computer screen when I sign for my packages? This opens the door for dishonesty, on the store's part, for holding a package and not giving it to me." The manager had no significant response to provide me with. Mail: Incoming mail sits all along the counter top in rubber bands or in piles. It is not distributed to the mailboxes that people are paying monthly for. I informed the manager, Chris, about this also because in the past I have waited DAYS to retrieve expected mail only to find that it has been "sitting on the counter" each time I enter this store. ************ The manager's response to my package and mail concerns I presented, "If you dont like it, you dont have to renew your mailbox when it's due." With that said, I am now in the process of determining who I will have a new PO box with once my current UPS mailbox lease ends. The manager's response was unprofessional and, in my opinion, is not reflective of who/what UPS stands for. The UPS parent store needs to place a closer watch on the individually owned and operated locations. They are not doing a very good job at all. You have lost a once valued customer. Based upon your reviews, Also, I am not the only person voicing my concerns about this Tidewater Drive location store manager. I intend to go to every streaming outlet there is to allow others to see the problems I have indicated above as well as the response received from the store "manager."

I arrived at this LBC branch at 1pm today, and as soon as the counter lady saw me carrying bags of…read morestuff to ship, the first thing she told me was that they do not provide box, and I need to have a box of my own. I was like - what??? Since when did an LBC branch do not have box? Am I in another world or what?? Everywhere I have gone in the US, LBC has boxes - in new York in Texas, in florida, in California, in new jersey, etc. So I asked her why is that. The lady just said that it has always been that way since she worked at that place - not really a helpful answer. I was still in awe and could not believe what I was hearing. And then she went on to say that everyone knows it, that they do not have boxes. I told her that she cannot just make that assumption that "everyone already knows" they do not have boxes because people can come from different parts and not know it. I, for example, with a return address of New York, do not know that. I was just staying in a hotel 1 hour away from this LBC branch, and just needed to lighten my luggage as I travel so I need LBC's help to ship some of my items. Still, she remained unfriendly, almost raising her voice on me, and I was feeling like she think I am stupid and a nuisance to her day. She arrogantly told me to go to a nearby Home Depot 10 minutes away from the LBC place. I asked what size of box should I buy, because all these times that I have been sending stuff from the US, LBC has standard size of boxes. She said I can use any box and they will charge me by weight and dimension. I was really disappointed - after driving for 1 hour only to be told that I still need to find my own box! Then, as I was sighing from disappointment for a few minutes, a quiet older man sitting behind this unfriendly front desk woman stepped in. He started looking for used boxes at the back of their office and found a reasonably good size of boxes and offered them to me. One was big, and another one smaller. I tried my best to fit in there everything I needed to ship in the big box, and thankfully, they all fit except for a pair of shoe, which I am willing to bring back with me. The man really solved my problem and I expressed my gratitude to him so many times as he weighed my box and finalized my box labels. While the helpful man was weighing my box and creating my label, a younger lady came in to LBC carrying stuff that she said she wants to send her father in the Philippines. Once again, the unfriendly front lady told her that they do not provide boxes. So, the poor young lady was feeling bad just like I was. I was still holding on to the small box that the man gave me which I did not need anymore. So I gave that to the young lady that needed a box to put her stuff for her father. And she was very grateful. I asked the young lady if she is from around there. She said yes, and that it was her second time to come to LBC. I was controlling myself from telling this to the unhelpful front lady of LBC - "I thought everyone already knows that you don't have boxes? Duh." Clearly she was wrong with her assumption. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this is what you can expect when you come to this place. You could end up being like me and the young lady that came after me. I think that this LBC MUST MAKE SURE that their website or the Google info about them will contain this clause : "THIS LBC BRANCH DOES NOT PROVIDE BOXES. PLS MAKE SURE THAT YOUR ITEMS ARE CONTAINED IN YOUR OWN BOX BEFORE COMING TO THIS BRANCH". Now, I hope and pray to God that this review will not cause any delay on the shipment of my box. I am actually worried of delays based on what I have read here in Yelp.
