I had ordered several things by mistake from Amazon. I didn't know how to return the two packages as there was no information on the packages and it was impossible to contact the two companies where I made the purchases. This was on April 26, 2022. I called the store and the man listened to my problem. He told me to come over and that he would help me. I came over with my two packages, introduced myself and the man came from behind the counter and directed me to the equipment near the wall. He learned that I was new at this and found out that I am 91 years old. He took over. He made several phone calls and did a lot of things on his computer I would estimate it took him a minimum of twenty minutes to get me squared away. He took the packages and mailed them. "He made my day"! When I got home I found an email from him stating I actually had more in one of the packages and invited me back. That is how I learned his name. "Kevin".I came back the next day with one more package with the same problem. Kevin laughed and said he would help me again. And that he did, Both days there was a steady flow of business and Kevin stayed with me the whole time, while a lady, "Robin", was kept very busy with many customers the whole time. I have had a number of businesses. All were in the hospitality industry. I have successively hired many hundreds of employees over the years. I can certainly evaluate the good from the bad. Kevin would be placed in my business at the top of the list. (The lady was certainly up to the rush of business). I bought one local business where the building was 90' by 60' and had 26 employees. When I sold it the building had grown to over 100,000 square feet under one roof. At the time of the sale, I employed 152 employees on my payroll. I add this to let you know that I am not a 'flake'. For every UPS delivery person that I have observed over the years, it is obvious your Public Relations Department also knows how to measure people before hiring. Thought I would give this place a try again after many bad experiences in the past, but the staff includes same rude and condescending person from before. For everyone's information, there are no masks being worn by staff and no requirement for masks to be worn by customers. The person who claims to have a medical condition has plenty of hot air left to be a completely rude individual. No other staff is wearing a mask either, so it is clear the medical condition is just a lame excuse. If you have an underlying medical condition, all the more reason why to protect yourself. I wear a mask to protect the workers at essential businesses, and will only do business with those with the courtesy to do the same. There is not even hand sanitizer available after you sign with the shared pen attached to the card reader. I will not stay home, I will continue to do business with those companies who want to survive long after this pandemic is over, and businesses that take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and their clients. Notice how they have not posted any information about the measures they are taking during COVID-19, and they are not even following the guidelines established by UPS corporate. You can tell all of the positive reviews posted here came from the owners and employees as they are completely out of touch with reality. I'm writing to compliment staff member Robin. Last Friday (3/26/21) I went to ship a package but I had an incorrect address from the one in your computer. I called my sister to verify the address who advised the one UPS has is the correct one so I left after the shipping transaction ended & ran some other errands. I went into my purse to check my phone & it was missing. I remembered I last used it at UPS so went back to the store even though it was past closing time. I saw your staff member & she came to the door & had my phone. I was so thankful she was still there & could give it to me. I asked if she stayed late (it was 7:25 pm) in case I came back & she said she was closing anyway & not to worry. I asked for her name because I wanted to commend her for above & beyond customer service. When I got home I told my sister about how glad I am to have my phone & we both talked about how Robin & the other staff members are always so cheerful & helpful. read more

In trying to complete a small printing project, I went to two national chain stores that offered printing services. Neither could handle my requests in person, and directed me to me to an online site. Of course, I had to get the app, create a username and login password, and then navigate through the myriad of options. I couldn't get what I wanted even then. So I tried the UPS store in my neighborhood. I walked in and Shri greeted me warmly. She quickly understood and grasped the scope of my project and when immediately to her computer. Moment later she came up with a rough draft that we modified and when she came with the second draft, it was exactly what I was looking for! Shri was not only friendly and cordial, but efficient and knowledgeable. She offered the personal service that I was looking for! I would highly recommend this UPS store for those with printing needs, be a large or small...and ask for Shri! read more

Interesting but I was reading other reviews to see if it was just me but clearly others have come in contact with the main guy that runs this location, or it seems as thought he does. The guy is a dick. Rude , impatient, condescending. I had to return some Amazon packages and thankfully, I only have to do this once or twice a year. That said, I'm not sure what to do. I wish there was a better way to communicate this directly to UPS. The reviews show a long history of this type of experience. I would think he would be happy that he has job security with all the shipping needs now a days. I've been in there before and felt the same when I left but was thinking maybe it was just that time....wrong...it's the norm for him. I have been going to this North Oaks UPS Store for at least 5 years. I just don't understand how some people have issues with the people working here. Every time I visit the store the service levels are really high. Robin and Kevin are the best! They know most of their customers by name (they tell me they have been at the store for 25 years). I suppose everyone has a bad day but neither Kevin nor Robin show it. They are very thorough whether it be shipping my items to my company or printing up my color brochures. I will not go to another UPS Store in the twin cities even if it's a little out of my way. Like my father used to say, "You get what you pay for" and although UPS Stores might cost more than the USPS, the superior service levels I always get from the North Oaks store make it well worth it! I am surprised at some people's reviews. I've been coming to this store for over 15 years and I've NEVER had a problem with any of the employees. Both the Asian lady and the older gentleman have always offered superior service and friendliness to me. I've referred this store to all my friends and neighbors and they agree. I think some people just think maybe they can be rude to an employee and it is expected that the employee just "take it". Retail employees, regardless of the industry, seem to be taking a beating from the public. Anyway, as with most reviews, there is always someone to complain about something. I have gone to this UPS store for years. Even after I moved- and a different one was closer to home- I have continued to come here. The staff is friendly, quick, and very helpful with lending an extra hand when I come with my son who has severe disabilities. The have done everything from print color copies of flyers for church related activities, laminate booklets for my son, and help mail time sensitive materials, This is a business that goes above and beyond...and I am always so impressed how staff seem to know all their regular customers on a first name basis. This is probably one of my favorite locations to go. I trust the people there and I always get outstanding service. I recently had to ship a passport for a renewal for my honeymoon and it was a lot easier than I unexpected. It was extremely low effort and the people are so helpful. They knew exactly what I needed and made sure it got done in a very orderly and timely manner. I was very impressed with this store and would definitely recommend them. Robin amazes my family and me. She knows her business and offers excellent services and products. She notarizes signatures, takes on creative projects related to printing and requiring skills such as resizing images and adjusting scale, coordinates shipping services on the receiving end with other UPS Store locations or delivery recipients, and has connections for packing/shipping unusual items such as oversized paintings that might otherwise require shipment through a gallery at a much elevated cost. The owner of this establishment saved me over $150 on shipping charges by repacking a large item I was sending to a customer himself in a smaller box than what I had brought in.
