Actually, from what I observed while I was there, the other employee working was giving great customer service while also being efficient and careful with people's items. So maybe the other reviewers were helped by her or someone like her. Unfortunately the other employee, who helped me, seemed like she did not want to be working there or helping anyone. I walked in around 15 minutes before closing (6:45pm), which I hate to do, but due to my schedule I didn't have much choice. I needed to print a couple of things (including a label) and ship my Nintendo Switch 2 in for service, but didn't have an appropriately-sized box. There was no line when I walked in so I went to this employee after she finished helping the person ahead of me, and told her I needed a couple of things--firstly, to print a label. She immediately waved me away and pointed to a sign on the opposite wall about the email address to send the label to. I had a question but she immediately waved up the next person who had just walked in before I had a chance to say anything else. I had an email already drafted so I was able to send the documents quickly (a label + a sheet with information about the service). Once she was finished helping the next person, I told her I also needed a box to ship the item in. She seemed extremely inconvenienced by this and asked if I also needed bubble wrap. I asked how much that would cost and she sighed and punched it into the computer and then gestured at the screen for me to look at. It was $18 for everything which seemed steep, and it was not clearly itemized, but I felt like I was already bothering her immensely so I said it was fine. She charged me for it, threw the label into the box, gave me the receipt, and said "have a nice day," then took the box and threw it on a counter next to the registers and went back to the register and waved the next person up. Since the Nintendo Switch 2 is a $500 item, was in a box clearly labelled "Nintendo Switch 2", the counter was in a spot that is easily accessible to guests, the item was not packed or even bubble wrapped, and was being left completely unattended, I was a bit flabbergasted. I had just paid $18 to have the item packed? The other employee was taking her time and carefully packing everything and making sure the customers were happy with it. I totally understand being stressed out close to closing time, but the attitude was absurd. I didn't want to leave without the assurance that my item was safe, so I waited for her to finish helping a couple of people and then asked if I could see the item be packed before I left. She rolled her eyes and then went over and quite aggressively packed the item in bubble wrap, then turned around and made eye contact and held the item up before dropping it in the box, then aggressively taping the box, tossing it around the whole time. If I hadn't packed the console well in the inner box, I would be worried it was broken even further. I thanked her and left but the whole experience was unpleasant. I don't think it's unreasonable to want to make sure an expensive item is treated with care, but I was made to feel unreasonable. I'll be sure to go to the Winter Park location in the future, where they treat customers with kindness even after 6pm.

I can't recommend this UPS Store enough!…read more The employees are always quick, efficient, and super friendly, even when the line is out the door (which is often). Here they handle every package and request with such professionalism that you barely notice how busy it is. Their services are reliable, inexpensive and comprehensive, making shipping, printing, and mailbox needs completely stress-free. Definitely my go-to spot for anything UPS-related things and Amazon return.

I have a bad back and every time I come in he helps me with moving things to and from my car without me ever asking. (Although, I have a feeling he would offer even if I was strong like superman). Also, in response to another poster, you don't get a receipt if you are dropping off USPS packages (I haven't asked but I suspect it is a function of the Post Office, rather than the Mail Center), however you DO receive receipts when dropping off FedEx and UPS packages. The fact that these are both private companies, (as opposed to the Post Office, which is run by the federal government) is what leads me to believe it isn't something this owner (who is there EVERY DAY btw) neglects to do. IN ADDITION, you can get KEYS, TROPHIES, STAMPS, GREETING CARDS, reasonably priced and varied sized BOXES (even when Walmart is out) and so many other things that you never remember you need to get or do, but would be a huge hassle to have to go through Big Box companies or online vendors who might be halfway around the world. (Tried to get a key made at Home Depot recently? Does anyone work there that isn't on a fork lift?) Anyway, I can't recommend them enough! Thank you guys.

It made me feel uneasy and was honestly very distracting and aggravating. When I expressed concern, the only response I got from the owner was, "He doesn't bite." While I understand some businesses are pet-friendly, I'm not sure a shipping and mailing center is the best environment for a barking dog -- especially right at the front where customers enter. It didn't feel very professional, and it definitely made the experience uncomfortable. Would recommend considering a more neutral, welcoming atmosphere for customers who may not expect or feel comfortable around animals in a business setting.

I am the CMO for a global company. I stopped in here to send a package overnight (today is Friday 3/17) for arrival on Monday (3/30) morning delivery. Precursor - Prior to that I had asked (and graciously paid for) notary services of the documents. No problem. Services rendered, services paid for. Now we get to the shipping rates. The woman pulls up rates starting at $54 dollars for April 4th delivery and spanning $272 dollars for Monday delivery by 10am. Yes, you read that right. $272 dollars for an envelope. For Monday delivery, by 10am. That's the cost of shipping a small refrigerator freight on a truck. Obviously I was shocked. Asked her how that was possible. Her response was "yeah...you have to talk to the owner Harry, he controls the prices." Well Harry...here's your chance to retort. How is it possible in any world to send an envelope weighing a quarter of a pound...overnight to Alabama...an hour and 27 minute flight away from Ocoee....and have it cost $272 dollars? By the way, the girl behind the counter tried to validate this at first with a response that was "well that's the price of shipping these days". For what? A bison to Guam via boat? C'mon. For reference, Afterwards I called Patricia over at FedEx on West Colonial, who I also do business with. I gave her the contents, the weight, the address and the shipping expectations of delivery on Monday by 10am. Her rate via FedEx? $53 dollars. FedEx...a global shipper...$53.00 for Monday morning delivery by 10am. Harry's Mail Center...$272 dollars for Monday by 3pm. In the end I took it to the post office on Hiawassee. Express Mail with tracking. Arrival Monday by 3pm. Cost? $11.28 I work in an industry where media, print and costs are marked up...usually about 11% to make profit on running a business. If you do that math...thats a 413% markup. And some bullshit. You're flagged Harry. Not sure what kind of operation you think you're running, but it will be reported.

I went in as soon as I got the note (it was custom jewelry made from my mothers jewelry, as such it was irreplaceable, so I did not want it sitting in a random warehouse) There was one person in front of me being seen to and 2 people working (but only one working with that person). I still waited in line for 15+ min. When they did get to me they initially couldn't find my package. Nerve wracking. Very stressful. When I said something to the tune of "what do you mean you can't find it" clearly a little panicked, then she got the other person involved and she found it immediately...was there really a need to put me though that? So, while I did not use them of my own will, I don't think they would be my first choice as a shipper should i need one in the future.
