I went in to get a notary done at 3:40. They close at 4:30. The man was very rude. He said 'No !- no notaries- not today. We are closing soon, and I only have two people in here behind the counter'. If he had explained it nicely it wouldn't have been so bad, but he was so rude and abrupt and just plain unpleasant. read more

I find this store to be extremely rude regarding package contents. (See my edit below: - - employees are not rude, nor did I say they were.) "What's in the box?" Isn't the proper question, which I've mentioned several times. Being told, "I could give a crap less what's in the package.", obviously negates the first question. Obviously, YOU DO CARE. Then to have the responsibility, of the first question handed off as, "UPS needs to know, not me." ‍ This is literally a UPS store, how an employee separates the distinction, I'll never know. ‍‍ Ask if there are any prohibited items in the packages. Have a visible list, like the US post office does, however DO NOT ask "What's in the box?" If no one has told you before, IT'S RUDE! If it's not a prohibited item on a list, IT'S NOT YOUR BUSINESS!!! If a a page long address disclaimer is required to send a package, I think a list of prohibited items can be posted. Then ask a waiver form to be signed, within that full page address disclaimer. In general the employees are fairly competent at their jobs. Usually they are friendly, if not oblivious to daily privacy and personal security issues. However the breach of privacy is astounding! Hang around in there for 5 minutes, you'll have names addresses, and phone numbers. Instead of asking if an address on a screen, or on a paper is correct... they'd rather ask out loud, "Is 123 Main St still your correct address Mr Smith?" And your shipping to, "456 Main St?" If you don't care if everyone in the UPS store knows your name, address, phone number, what you're shipping, where it's going, and don't care about privacy... then this place is perfect for you. If you value your privacy, this is the Android of privacy. If you want Apple privacy, run and find another place for your shipping needs. EDIT: I stand by my review. You may disagree with what I was told, it doesn't make it any less true. You don't recognize me from a scene, since there wasn't one.‍‍ There was ONE other customer there, she was in conversation with her service rep. Not once did she stop her conversation. Heard her give her phone number too. Hard to continue your business with a scene taking place next to you, wouldn't you say? You must have me confused with another customer, possibly one that is also annoyed with the way their privacy is handled. As to your "business to know", what's in packages, explain why the USPS only asks if you are shipping prohibited items, and NOT "What's in the box"? This is NOT a SHIPPING ISSUE.‍‍‍ It's a PRIVACY issue!! I'm NOT going to explain the difference between Apple privacy and Android privacy. I'll go out on a limb and say you don't care. I'd love to read the law that states you legally must ask, "What's in the box?" I won't hold my breath. Why is it that when I ship with the USPS, I'm NOT asked; "What's in the box?" I AM asked, "does it contain any prohibited items on this list." You should try this method, it's more welcoming to customers. The employees are not rude, nor did I ever call anyone out as rude. (This speaks to your credibility, by at least twice lying and twisting this review.) The way you handle CUSTOMERS PRIVACY IS RUDE! Simple changes will increase customers sense of ease, knowing all there info isn't being overheard, by everyone else. Won't be back. Have been here a few times. Some of the ladies are nice but there is one old man who is so grumpy. He is hard if hearing and gets offended when he can't hear YOU he has given me crap from not knowing I needed a box with my Amazon review to not getting the right envelope for what I was mailing. I walked in today a minute before they closed (which I didn't realize). They had all the bars down already so it made me ask if they were even open and he responds rudely with "yea we close in 1 minute". Instantly turned off. If you were truly concerned about your customer satisfaction you wouldn't have even mentioned closing and just simply stated how can I help you. All I wanted was to print one piece of paper and you had to roll your eyes so I walked out and will NEVER be back. STAY AWAY!!!!! read more

Made an appt. for a notary service at this UPS store. Got there ahead of time and waited for them to open. After going in I told them I had an appointment I made online. The guy told me I'd have to come back in two hours as he didn't have enough staff to cover all the hours. I suggested they might want to adjust their online appointment system. A VERY rude younger female came out of the back and stated, "We tried!". No sorry you came in or any statement in the interest of customer service. The Male who was taking care of me apologized and said to come back if I didn't find anywhere else. I went down the street to Parcel Express, in Tiffany Square (2828 S. McCall), across from Walmart. They were very professional, got me right in and took care of the notary and made sure it got mailed correctly You can be sure I'll drive a couple miles further to PARCEL EXPRESS for a much more professional service! read more

i have been here many many times as i live across the street..they have always been helpfull and pleasant..they have also gone out of their way to double check a mailing address that was MY mistake. No one is perfect, everyone has an occasional bad day..and i never let someone elses bad day ruin mine. If i have an issue with a person i take it up with them., then it gets cleared up. The man who helped me was not friendly [not the owner in the picture]. He was repetitive, rude, and condescending. I had not packaged my materials completely and he proceeded to harangue me about following directions. I had apologized after the his first comment [attempting to be polite and friendly], but he continued to repeat "read the directions" information... after the 5th time, I took offense. Apparently the "rules" for returning Amazon packages had changed... and I was really really supposed to know that and have everything perfect for him. I am disappointed to have this experience as I am new to this area and was hoping for a forever UPS store. However, I think I will continue taking my business to the Lemon Bay location. They are always friendly and helpful. UPDATED: Twist it how you like. Scream is an overstatement. I began raising my voice as it seemed that he couldn't hear me [as apparently he might not have]. Finally, I stated that I didn't need this s*** and took my stuff away. I called him an a** on the way out the door. I did not curse the person at the door. I was irritated by WHAT he said, not his tone or HOW he said it. He stated it professionally... then he stated it again, and again, and I am not kidding, again [which is also called mansplaining]. Despite MY apology, despite MY expression of confusion about different store processes... he still just stated the same thing again, and again, and again. I admit that I did not accept his repeated comment well and using profanity is not the best behavior... but I should not be mansplained, reprimanded, or dragged over something that I had already apologized for [more than once to his face] and is essentially part of the service promoted by typical postage stores like UPS or FedEx...[to help people mail/box things, right?]. Now I understand that just because it has UPS on the storefront, doesn't mean they will be helpful or understanding about any postage needs or misunderstandings one might have...BUT.
