The 2 people working were not notaries, and they said he left to go on a break. They said we could wait and he should be back in about 20 minutes. It was bad enough that we had to deal with this situation, but the 2 people working didn't seem to see the problem or care that we were put out. If he's on a break but has an appointment, couldn't they have called him? It was frustrating. We had to get back to work and no one could tell for sure if/when the notary would return so we left and went to License Center Rochester Inc and they helped us right away, thankfully. The staff was rude and unwilling to help with my questions or printing the label which I've had done at other locations. The store was dirty and very warn out. I would have paid for the service given the option but it wasn't offered she just went to the next person. I wouldn't recommend them. Since they are pretty much it for stores in town I'd recommend just shipping it from your house. read more

The UPS Store 1417 located at 3936 E Frontage Road in Rochester, Mn. is a scam rip off. The manager/owner is not honest and upfront with shipping costs. I recently mailed a package and added signature confirmation and insurance. When he printed the receipt it did not have a breakdown of the different costs. I asked the manager to print me a receipt showing how much it was to get $700.00 insurance and also what the cost of signature confirmation was. He said he could not break down the costs. I demanded he do so, so he looked at his computer and then he copied the different costs from the computer and wrote them down on a piece of paper. I asked to take a picture of the screen he was looking at which obviously showed the breakdown of costs and he refused to let me do so. I asked him to print out the receipt on the screen he was looking at, and again he refused to do so. This UPS store and the manager/owner are not honest and will not disclose the various costs associated with a package. In the past I had them pack three valuable pieces of furniture and ship them. They shipped them, but they did not pack them and they all arrived at their destination badly damaged. I filed a claim and they refused to pay the claim. This store and the manager are a scam operation and should be shut down. read more

I have tried to drop off a package several times now to this ups store and it never open during the hours listed online and on the front of the store. The person working never shows up at 8am or even close to 8am despite that being listed as the opening time on weekdays. There are always at least 3 people waiting for it to open for upwards of 15-45 minutes when I go. read more

I see a lot of poor reviews for this store but I think they are doing the best they can. It's a tough job market to find employees and even though they may need to vary the hours, the staff has always processed and gotten done what needs to be done for me. Pretty bummed out, I ordered some copies to be printed for my school work yesterday online to be printed in store. I even stopped in to make sure that they got the order and double check that I would be able to pick it up the next day. When I arrived at the shop, the first person I talked to had no idea what I was taking about and didn't seem to know anything about printing services. He went to grab another guy and he told me that they had received my order and yes they would not have a problem with completing my order and told me that it would be ready by noon the next day. Fast forward to the next day and at 9:30ish (2 1/2 hrs before I was going to pick it up) I got an email that my order had been cancelled and they would not complete it.... if I would have known they could pick and choose or deny my order after they said it wouldn't be a problem, I would have gone with another print shop. Now I am waiting even longer for my documents that I need ASAP. read more

The customer service is always very helpful even on busy Holidays such as Christmas. I love in Stewartville and quite a drive. But will use this store. I had a horrible problem dropping off a package at Hardware store, they didn't give me a tracking number. This cost me $450.00, as the company addressed to said they never Received the package. Had a return barcode from Amazon that needed to be scanned and printed out. They said they can't do it here. Told me I had to go somewhere else. Would give them 0 stars if I could. Wasted my time driving there. So I went to Staple that ships UPS and the clerk told me they should've been able to do it there. Someone came to do the same thing and went back to this UPS and they took it after going there second time. At least put someone in the front who knows what they are doing please. read more

I brought in a box last Saturday and the girl was very busy so she said to drop off any packages that were prepaid I did but with hesitant I never heard anything from the company that I returned my items to. They said it was never processed. I stopped by the UPS store and they gave me a phone number to call. They said since I don't have a receipt its my fault Please get a receipt. read more

Both the website and inside the store advertise passport photo services yet when I went to the store they told me they never do this. I would suggest taking down the large sign above the main desk advertising "passport photos" if that is not something you actually offer. read more

Absolutely horrid service. My handwriting is not the best as I sit on the computer all day, so the last time I went to the store, the clerk advised me to take a form with me and I asked her if I typed it up would that be acceptable? I am usually in a hurry, so I did this, and then just today as I set the typed form down for the alleged store owner, he told me I still needed to fill out a form in the store. You're already getting charged more coming to this store than you do going to the post office or UPS depot by the airport, why deal with the asinine-ness too? I agree with the reviews starting that dealing with this UPS store is an unpleasant experience. The staff person in worked with was pleasant enough but the manager was rude. I subsequently went to FedEx Crossroads and had a totally different experience. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the final charge was less than UPS. read more

Brought in some items in my own box to ship. Box was not filled with packing not was it taped. Took about 1-2 minutes to get box packed and taped, but they charged $9 for that 1-2 minutes and about $0.50 of material. Then charged $21 for ground shipping. It "would have been less" if I had let them pack it into a smaller box. But he didn't tell me that ahead of time. He waited until it had already been packed and priced before telling me. Then he just laughs at me for not knowing better. Rude, rude, rude. On top of being a price gauging jerk. Would not recommend this UPS Store. read more
