I just had a wildly bad experience at this location. I brought in a Happy Return, and I have a lot of experience using this service at UPS Stores, Staples, and Ulta. Sometimes the scanning of each item works, but in my experience, it often does not and the clerk reviews the return to check off the items manually. At this location, the clerk scanned the first item, but the second didn't go through. He said it wasn't on the return, and I said, "Oh, all of them should be on there." From there, he started yelling at me, to the point that I had to ask him, "Why are you speaking to me this way?" more than once. He was yelling that if he took the items, I wouldn't get the refund for them. I tried to explain that this was a common occurrence and that there was a way to review all of the items on the return, but he would not listen at all. I said that I would just take them somewhere else to return them, and he continued to harass me until I walked out the door. It was like he went from 0 to 100 over truly a very small issue, and I will never go back to this location because of it. Save some money and ship United States Postal Service (USPS) GROUND ADVANTAGE at the post office near by at 1000 West Valley Road, Wayne PA 19087. My package was 17% less using USPS for the same ground shipping service. The UPS Store is the more expensive option with no value add. Only a fool wastes money at the UPS Store. I have never had an issue with this store until today. It was unpleasant and very unprofessional. The guy who "helped" me had an attitude instantly. He had on dark sunglasses and when I told him I needed to ship to the address on file he gave a sarcastic expression and threw the jersey on the scale. I had I had a second package that had to ship to a different address, and he continued with an attitude the entire time. When I was done and checking out, the machine was not working and I asked for his help which again he continued with an attitude as I stated before I've been to this UPS several times. And never had an unpleasant experience until today going forward if he is at the desk I will ask to have someone else help me I refuse to work with him read more

This UPS store hired a very unresponsive, unhelpful zombie. I entered on 4/8 @ 9am. I was the ONLY customer. The drained, tired, lethargic employee stayed on a chair in a semi enclosed room and barked a few words which didn't benefit my situation. Was she helpful? No. Did she even try to act like she half- cared? NO. Was I frustrated? LOL. I left and went to Staples in the same Plaza. What a difference. read more

Friendly and get you in and out. Located at east end of the gateway shopping center near Mod Pizza and First Watch. Not always easy to find a parking spot right by the store but you can usually find something. Make sure to get a receipt with tracking number just in case but I'd say that with any shipping service. read more

Definitely a one star for this visit. The main reason for the one star is one employee who acted like a buffoon the entire time I was there, which was about 30 minutes. This employee was larger about 30 and seemed to have a chip on his shoulder. He wasn't very helpful to his coworkers or customers. While I was there he got a phone call and stated on the phone " I having an awful day I'm going to quit my job" then while assisting an elderly lady he became frustrated why is basically pulling out his hair, super weird. Clarence on the other hand was awesome did our notary and I got us in and out of there fairly quickly. This employee that you have is a detriment to your Establishment! Went in to ship a package, amazon return for 3rd party so i was responsible for shipping. Printed out the label and wrote in return address in upper left corner. Receivers address was printed in center. Guess there was some confusion as the package was shipped from my address to my address. It was shortly before they closed and i had worked a long day, so im sure both of us were tired and ready to be done, so neither of us realized it was going to and from the same place. When it arrived the next day in the mail I figured no biggie im sure they will just resend it to proper address. This was not the case, women at the counter insisted it must have been my fault for leaving an old shipping label on it, after inspection of the box seeing i had taken care to cross out any old addresses ahe then said well you shouldn't have confirmed and made me pay the 27$ again. Rude and dismissive. Go elsewhere folks. read more

STEALS PACKAGES! Yesterday at 1:47pm the package was delivered to the UPS in Gateway Shopping Center for me and signed for by 'Stanley'. Today's at 8:10am I went to pick it up and it wasn't there or the guy who signed for it. I went again today at 12:20pm and was with the rudest customer service they told me it wasn't there. I called the original UPS location that it was delivered to and they said it was definitely delivered the day before and the tracking confirms this. They said that this location is a UPS franchise location and they have no jurisdiction over this and that a police report needs to be filed because if it not there it was stolen. I think that they saw it was alcohol and 'Stanley' must have taken it home with him... I will be filing a police and a claim with the sender but the fact you can't trust this UPS location is absurd. read more

This is the nearest UPS location for us. The service has been good and they have never made me feel like an inconvenience (unlike USPS). I have been a life long UPS customer and plan to continue as one. My main complaint? You lose a star for charging for a strip of tape to close a small box. I thought it was a joke at first, but a few seconds of an awkward pause, I realized that this was actually happening. I bought a whole roll for the same price and did it myself with more to spare. The employee was apologetic and said it was a new policy per management. Shame on you, management. As an executive and managing partner, I can tell you 100% that this is a petty and poor business practice, and would never fly at our company. Hope this policy gets trashed soon. read more

Great customer service!!! Always so pleasant and helpful and they really try to get you out quickly

Not up to the UPS standard by any measurement. All I wanted to do was ship a package to my son. I gave the clerk the my package and a sheet of paper with the address clearly printed which she input and charged me...easy enough. After a call from my son stating he didn't get the package I researched the issue online to realize the clerk input the wrong address. I called the store and talked to Jim who was very helpful in resolving the issue along with offering, (unsolicited) to refund me the shipping charges...the right thing to do. I receive a subsequent call from someone who stated they were the manager and that Jim couldn't offer me a refund and that he would not give me anything for their mistake...the wrong thing to do. At this point the shipping charges are not the point. The attitude of indifference and lack of accountability is completely unacceptable. Never again...there are too many other options available to accept this type of treatment... read more

It's never happened before but apparently it's been their new policy since March 2017 and the 30 something guy that works there is a bit of a jerk and unprofessional. Where do I start on this particular location? customer service has gotten better but they aren't fair to the employees. I was written up for something I didn't do. Of course I was raised not to sign something that isn't JUST! They terminated me for not signing a write up, trash management. If Khia Preston is still the regional/district manager....please do watch her CAREFULLY. She will tell you everything good and positive about you and your effort and then flip on you when she doesn't get what she wants from you. They will over work you and forget that you even have a life and bills outside of the place honestly! I even came to work on days off and I was told that I wasn't RELIABLE. First-time visit; needed a notary, whose name is Clarence. What a kind and patient presence Clarence has! This review is based on a brief (15-minute) visit on one occasion, though I'm likely to visit again. The owner, Kevin, struck me as supportive of the staff and genuinely interested making sure everyone in the space felt well treated and engaged. The mood of the place is upbeat, understanding, and open. Kevin explained that the UPS Stores are individually operated as franchises. Charge for one strip of tape! Interestingly the negative reviews below list that the store is under new management as of 2018. I can honestly say I have never attempted to mail a box without it being 100% prepared for shipment. Unfortunately, today, at this store, I did. I arrived (in the pouring rain!) with my item in the box and a prepaid label, minus one strip of tape across the top - the clerk wanted to charge me for the tape. Customer service goes a long way ... I have tape and I'll happily tape up my box, but I'll be giving a different UPS store my business. read more

Worst customer service in my life. I accompanied my sister who needed me as a witness for documents needing notary services and was told the notary had left for the day.( Hours 12-3). We arrived at 2:35. This is following two previous days of phone calls checking ont availability and hours. She went the previous day without a witness. On returning today the woman at the front desk said the notary was gone for the day. He was visibly sitting in the back area. He came to the front desk and acknowledged that he was the notary and provided the service. No apology, no favorable customer service acknowledgement. We both refrained from confronting their dishonest behavior. I have been in the service industry over 50 years. It pains me to witness lying and pour work ethic. read more

Don't ship with this store!!!!!!! I recently sent a package with this store. I bought insurance for the package. Kevin at The UPS Store commented on how well it was packed. When the goods arrived damaged, UPS would not come out and inspect the package. They waited 6 weeks to process the claim.They would also not discuss the result with me. The UPS Store in Wayne said the claim had been denied and that they do not have any control over the result. It is UPS's decision. They are not UPS and they have no intention of honoring the insurance. WOW. Don't ship anything you care about with The UPS Store in Wayne. read more

Horrible experience. Needed a Notary. Arrived at the store for the second time to get my document notarized. First time they had only one witness. Had to wait a day as no Notary on Wednesday. Went back today, Thursday after calling to make sure that 1. the notary was still there and 2. the hours he works = 12 - 3:00 pm. Arrived at 2:40 and was told the Notary person had "just left" even though I could see him at the computer in the back room. I COULD SEE HIM! Counter lady said "Oh, that's not him", when I pointed him out after recognizing him. I asked for the name of the owner of the shop and that is when the Notary got up and came out to provide his services saying he had to go to another store for an errand and why he was leaving early. Only he didn't leave, he was still there, and these stores are independently owned so he probably was lying about that as well - they both lied! I hope whoever is the owner of the Gateway store does not own another as he/her makes very poor hires. Do not go to this store. Worth it to go elsewhere. Any business that lies to your face even when you point out the lie - and then does not apologize for the lie and turns the negative attitude back on the customer needs not be in business.
