I had 2 big trees touching my roof, and my new insurance company said they couldn't cover my house unless my roof was clear. I contacted The Urban Foresters and they were amazing! The trees hadn't been properly trimmed in the 48 years we've lived in the house. We decided we needed them trimmed correctly and were impressed by The Urban Foresters's Jerry came out and gave us an estimate. He was both personable and professional. The guys who trimmed the trees really knew what they were doing. They not only lowered the branches to the ground with ropes, but also ground up the branches right then and there. We asked for our big, beautiful, healthy magnolia trees to be trimmed away from the stucco buildings and the roof. They were the focal point of our property, and the first thing guests commented on. It is going to take years to regrow the damage that was done to our trees. Extremely disappointed by the service we received. We can't say enough good things about our experience with The Urban Foresters! Chris, Douglas and the entire crew were great to work with from start to finish. They arrived on time, ready to go, and got right to it, very professional and considerate crew. We had two very large trees, Elm and Live Oak, close to the house and power lines, and both were removed seamlessly. Once removed they ground down the stumps and threw everything into the chipper. We were able to communicate exactly what we wanted, and Urban Foresters provided it. Before the team left they removed all debris and swept the yard, not a leaf or stick was left on the ground. Our house has a brand-new feel. The team came on time and was incredibly professional. Our very large oak tree was trimmed so well that the tree still feels whole, but lifted. They also did a wonderful job on our 80-year-old crepe myrtles. I cannot wait to see them bloom next time. These folks are simply the best - best services, best quality work, best prices - and I cannot give them more heartfelt praise. My parents (both in their 80s) needed 3 trees trimmed and one was quite the monster as it seriously encroached their garage roof from a neighbor's yard. Chris Ochoa arrived promptly and discussed their needs and returned with an estimate that was beyond reasonable. After scheduling the work the crew arrived on time and everything was top shelf - high quality equipment operated by well trained professionals who did their job to perfection. Great company, great values, and great customer service! I have done a lot of business with Urban Foresters, they have never let me down!

They came out and did the work. We got a deal with Groupon, but they told us that the job would take 12 man hours (4 hours) and that was the basis of the quote they gave me. The work that they did at only took 6 man hours (2 hours) on site. When I called their representative to ask about this, he informed me that the price was including hauling away debris and disposal as well as drive time. These things were never mentioned in the estimate. I was given the impression that the quote was based on the on site work. It feels like they made up phony baloney expenses in order to justify overcharging me. read more

Originally quote $960/day (originally said 2 days to complete) to remove brush piles off my property. Then they go and reneg on their quote and jump the price up to $1325/day (now 3 days complete). That is over a $2000 difference on completing the job. Their reason is because the salesman that gave the quote was inexperienced. This is bad business! Customers rely on the professionals for their professionalism, experience and integrity. It is not the customers fault if you did wrong. Saying sorry does not make things right. This company should have honored their original quote price. Salesman also did not respond in a timely manner either. Left me hanging by not even letting me know their grapple truck was out of service in repair. Will definitely not recommend this company for any services. Very professional and helpful crew. Only hiccup was a small misunderstanding about what portion of the estimate I wanted completed; however, they showed up on time (even a bit early) and were done removing 2 trees pruning 3 others and cleaning up all debris in a little over 2.5 hours. We have used The Urban Foresters on both a private home and on our commercial properties, there is no one that comes close to their service and commitment for doing things right. We have numerous 100 year old live oak trees that they have worked on and now look great, and now are thriving once again. They practice safety first and do everything by the book. We had Urban Foresters come and trim our 4 very large Live Oak tress, all in close proximity to our home. The estimate was right in the middle of all the others we got, but I trusted their Arborist more since he took the time to actually walk around and point out to me all the dead wood and other things that needed to go. He also understood we wanted more sunlight but didn't recommend hacking away good limbs like all the other places that came by. The actual work was better than I expected. They showed up on time, worked all day, and took great care in cutting. They raised our canopy at least 8 feet where before you couldn't even see our house from the street. The branches look amazing now. I highly recommend these guys! read more

This company is great! Grant is a no nonsense kind of guy. They come out and tell you what is needed and what they will do. And they haul it away. I don't know how many times I have paid a company to trim or remove trees and when I get home, all the debri is left behind for me to clean before HOA gets to me. Horrible company. Not knowledgable at all. Killed a 80 y old pecan tree and a healthy young oak tree in our front yard by over fertilizing. Used gallons of fertilizer very close to the roots and within days the trees lost all their leaves and died. Only the two trees they fertilized. The rest of our trees are alive and well. Their manager Grant then comes out and gives me an explanation that caterpillars ate our trees and the large pecan had some kind of larvae. I have never heard of caterpillars eating a tree in 3 days. And why would the leaves brown and fall off. They killed two beautiful and expensive trees and refuse to replace or help us with removing. Beware of this company. read more
