If you're just starting out with vaping, I couldn't recommend this shop more highly. They'll take the time to introduce you to all the basics; answer all of your questions; not try to oversell you (yet still let you know their honest opinions); and, most importantly, won't make you feel like an idiot if you know nothing about the culture. They are more concerned with making repeat sales than a quick sale. In other words, they preach safety first. They know their products, uses and limitations. If one salesperson does not know about a product, they will refer you to the one who does, rather than BS you for a sale. One thing I did like, when purchasing my first regulated box mod (the part that holds the batteries), is that even given a budget (say up to $300) they will determine what best suits YOUR needs, and not what brings in the most profit. I did just that. I gave the salesperson a Dollar amount cap and they came in well below that, about half actually, and I got literally every thing I needed. A regulated 100w mod, a tank, atomizers, e-juice, batteries (high quality-they don't even carry budget batteries) some wire, cotton, an ohm meter, 30 minutes or so of Q/A safety information, and even gave a discount and a couple freebies. (like a few feet of wire to play with *play meaning twist into unusable coils while learning* lol. I'm not saying anything for or against other local shops, since I only shop here, but I will say, I will recommend this shop to anyone new to vaping and e-cigs. I will add, that having worked for years in retail and customer service, I am very picky about where I shop on a regular basis, and as such, I come to this store as my first stop for anything I need related to vaping.

When o questioned the prices they cited a 20% tax (which they have conveniently spelled out on a sign on their counter), but even considering that tax (imposed by NS government), as well as a premium for operating a brick and mortar store, a 90% markup compared to online retailers is pretty ridiculous. Also felt a bit misled the first time I went in there. Was pitched a new device based on pods being much cheaper than the device I was using. I was told they were $8 for a package of two. But then when they rang me through it was $8 each, so $16 for a pack of two. Didn't realize until I checked my online statement after the fact, and didn't get a receipt so not much I could do. Only went back a second time because my online order got delayed. If you want to pay double for pods, and a premium for devices, that's your prerogative. I would prefer to support a local business and am willing to pay marginally more for the convenience of not having to wait, but I see their mark-up as downright exploitative. I don't like the feeling of being egregiously overcharged, so I will shop online at my old shop in Alberta and have supplies shipped in. Don't get hit with that 20% tax that the NS retailers are passing on directly to the customer, and not getting hit with an additional 70% markup just because...capitalism? If you're shopping here routinely, I'm sorry, you're just lighting your money on fire.
