If you're looking for something truly unique in Jacksonville, The Cove Social Club is such a hidden…read moregem! Located in a 101-year-old building that used to be an A&P grocery store, this space perfectly blends history, creativity, and community. I love that so much of the original architecture has been preserved -- and the fact that it was designed by a woman architect back in the day makes it even more special. The Cove offers so much: daily coffee service, cooking and cake-decorating classes in "The Lab," yoga and meditation on Wellness Wednesdays, Social Sundays focused on mindfulness and connection, and even Art & Wine nights where you can sip, snack, and paint while listening to live music. They're also about to open Sticks & Stones, a private cigar club next door that will be available to members -- it's going to be such a great addition to the experience. The next membership cohort begins November 1st, and spots are limited to just 150 members to keep things community-focused and personal. They also host networking events, lectures, and business education workshops, so it's a great mix of social and professional. Whether you come for a coffee, an event, or to meet new people, The Cove Social Club is one of those places that makes you feel instantly connected and inspired.

Lucas was nice when we went to view the venue. Once we placed our deposit things changed. He was…read morevery difficult to work with. He kept nickel and dime ing us. The day before the wedding he was setting up tables and refused to let us decorate in advanced while he was there setting up stating he needed to be compensated for his time (he already had to be there) he was drinking our liquor at our open bar and kept hitting on our bartender (who told us he made her uncomfortable)even though he had a wedding ring on. Advised me that we needed to pay extra money to use their sound/lighting equipment and out of 100+ weddings only one used the Their own equipment and lost the ability to play sound. Our DJ had all his own equipment and preferred to use his. He advised us against it citing their equipment was pre wired and was the only equipment that works (trying to charge us extra to use) I declined and our DJ had no issue whatsoever. Lucas is greedy and money hungry as he is the only one who sets up and cleans up the events. He acted like he had a team of people but no it's just him and you must pay him more money if you need the venue longer than 8 hours. It was extremely inconsiderate of Lucas to not allow us to drop off our decor the night before while he was setting up tables. We didn't ask him to help us unload anything just showed up asking to drop off decor and was told I would have to compensate him for his time there even though he was already there. He's nice up front until he gets your money and then changes.

We held a "rock concert" there for all invited guests and the facility was perfect. Lucas was great to work with, professional, and offered some great ideas. Aaron, the sound engineer, was exactly what our rag-tag band needed and had us set up and sounding great in no time. There were approx 150 guests and we had plenty of room, parking worked out, the facility was clean and ready to go. I highly recommend 6th Ave North for any event and you won't be disappointed.

The place is right by Jax beach, pretty easy to locate and see from the road. We arrived during cocktail hours so we got to mingle while sipping on some wine by the catering staff. The place has 3 restrooms so that was great since there were a round 150 guests. The owner seems to run a little behind on her schedule during our friend's wedding due to traffic and other hiccups throughout the beach ceremony. The garden was pretty Nice, they sell tons of flower seeds and plants right by the venue. We be a great time here and I would love to come back in the future for other events.

I do NOT recommend this place for your wedding reception. I booked the location almost 2 years in…read moreadvance and they cancelled on me with less than 12 hours notice. I had to figure out how to host my guests for a reception the night before the wedding. Most of the wedding day was us setting up an alternate location in a neighbor's back yard. I also paid for a day of coordinator to organize the vendors and they also cancelled that service and I had to find a new coordinator on the day of the wedding. They claimed that the last minute change was due to CDC guidelines related to Covid-19 and gatherings over 10 people. That guideline was in place 4 days prior to their last minute cancellation and they assured me the entire week leading up to the wedding that we were fine to proceed as long as I reduced my guest list to under 50 in compliance with the governor's orders at the time, which I did. Even 2 hours before the cancellation, I had dropped off all my items at the venue for the next night. They somehow thought that allowing my fiance and friends to haul their tables, chairs, linens and dishes to our home and back and use them for the reception made up for their last minute cancellation and told me repeatedly how they were bending over backwards for me. It was very disappointing service all around. I understand that Covid-19 presented unique challenges, but the way Coastal handled this was completely unprofessional. I would have expected the use of their items as a good will gesture for the last minute cancellation/stress and still allowed for us to re-schedule an event at the location on another date. Suffice it to say that I would not recommend them for your event.

Inside is a little tight, but it is an old building with naked bricks, historic decor, a good sized bar and tables inside. Outside is a deck with covered tables, another area for corn hole and a food truck which has all the major bar food groups including churros. Sean was my beertender and he really was the best. They have a policy of holding your card for tabs which I really hate, but he made me feel comfortable about leaving my life in his hands. When I first walked in on a weekday during happy hour, it was pretty light, but around 4:30p the place started filling up. Happy hour is Monday - Friday until 6pm and they have 18 taps which qualify for happy hour. Plus they had 3 guest taps, both ciders. Ruby Beach has a mug club, it is about $80 for the year. You get a free beer on Tuesday as well as your own numbered mug. It is limited. So exclusive in fact that they do a raffle every August. The BEER: Crown Jewel Belgian Tripel 11.4% ABV... easy drinking, not boozy and quite delicious, this one will sneak up on you Return of the Mac Daddy Pale Ale 5.5% ABV... the description is "rye pale ale hopped with Amarillo. Over the Ditch 15.0 NEIPA 6% ABV... if I was in front of a firing and they gave me a last request, I might choose this beer. Sweet grapefruit and stars... love this! Grit & Glow Lager 5.2% ABV... if you have ever smelled fabuloso that is what I first smelled when I put the beer to my lips, the beer itself is just as perfumey, not for me... but if you like those type of flavors in beer, you might like this one Rosemary In the Rye Pale Ale 5.5% ABV... all day crushable pale ale, with a slight hint of rosemary, basically the Mac Daddy plus rosemary O'Ruby's Irish Stout 5.5% ABV... smooth coffee with hints of toffee, so ver crushable, but it is way better warm Didn't get to try the food on this visit, but on a side note... the bathrooms are both unisex and CLEAN.
