This place was great. Casual atmosphere and the eggs Benedict was perfect! Great service and friendly staff. I assume the gentleman who came to see us off was the owner, and that shows that he takes pride in his cafe. Would definitely recommend and come again. Also, the bad review shouldn't even be considered in whether you should patronize this place. If you have a thick skin, and a backbone, a shirt shouldn't bother you. This place is not very good at all. The group of 3 that I went to brunch with all agreed on the one star score. Save your money and just cook at home. My wife ordered and a grilled cheese that came out super burnt. How do you mess up a grilled cheese and why would you serve it that way. I ordered an omelette and the it was missing two items I asked for. You would think if the menu is small that you would atleast make those items somewhat edible. We love this amazing place and eat here a couple of times weekly. The Pan fish is incredible on Fridays. Great breakfasts and sandwiches. Baked spaghetti is huge and delicious. In addition to the great food, the hardworking staff is delightful and treats everyone like they are the only ones there even when the place is packed. Makes me happy just to eat there. read more

This is the third time we have had our staff breakfast meeting catered by the Village Cafe and it was another home run!! The food arrived hot and there was plenty to feed our group of 11! The biscuits and gravy were a hit and I don't know what they do to their breakfast potatoes, but I am addicted! We will definitely be ordering from them again! read more

What a gem of a restaurant in Pinehurst! Came for breakfast after seeing so many positive reviews! They live up to the hype! The Village Cafe was spotless, and the servers were friendly as well as efficient. The food came out fast and was hot and delicious! We had omelettes and a Traditional plate of eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. Staff really have an edge over other restaurants, where servers may come across tired and bored. Whatever you do to obtain that level of service, keep doing it Village Cafe! read more

Went in for only decaf coffee and to use some waiting time for catching up on my own things. Was treated like an honored favorite customer. The entire staff was working hard and fast to make everything the best it could be for everyone. They made me a fresh pot of decaf coffee, refilled my cup, wouldn't let me pay for the coffee, and gave me a takeout menu because I said I wanted to come back with others to eat. The menu and the food being delivered to tables looked wonderful. All the customers around me seemed as happy to be there and eating the good food as I felt about my coffee. I ordered a Turkey Club to share with my husband and 2 cups of soup to go. There was nothing to secure the soups from spilling and I ended up with soup all over the car console. I had breakfast at the cafe on Sunday. The Florentine Benedict was the best I've ever had. The fresh spinach was sauteed to perfection and topped with eggs that were perfectly cooked. I always ask for the Hollandaise sauce on the side because I'm never sure if it will be to my liking, the sauce was delicious . The presentation was beautiful as well as delicious.
