I have been going to VWC for over 9 years. Dr. Janet has always been my favorite doctor. She makes me feel relaxed. I love that Dr. Mike is there too. If something is bothering me and Dr. Janet needs help, Dr. Mike steps in. DJ is the best massage therapist ever. He listens to me. He also gives me exercises I can do at home to help with my trouble spots and they really work. He is especially good when I have had headaches. I have a weekly standing appointment with DJ and nothing will come between me and my massage except weather. Their rates are very reasonable. I highly recommend Village Wellness Center. read more

So, my girlfriend purchased a Groupon for a massage for my birthday. Made my apt, they called for a reminder (grateful)! Walked in greeted warmly, good feels! Sherry, was cool, gave me an excellent adjustment and then Jessica did a phenomenal massage!!! I do mean phenomenal. I am recovering from plantar fasciitis and so i asked her to focus on my feet and when i tell you this girl is amaziiiing! Yes, yes yes. My second appointment was pretty much the same except i had my massage first by Jackie and when i was done Dr. Mike got it cracking on my back! So, needless to say, as i just read all of the reviews on Yelp and i pretty much depend on these reviews, my experience was undoubtedly amazing! They will be in my regular calendar and they are close to my house. Also, side note, the bathroom was nice and clean! read more

I have been going here for YEARS and followed them to three locations. They have always been the best at accommodating my schedule and needs. I try to get DJ for the massages because he is INCREDIBLE. Nobody will ever live up to him! They are reasonably priced and work well with my insurance. Definitely my go to place. read more

Today was the deciding factor. I've already had one visit which was fairly awful but I bought them on Groupon so decided I'd use the second and I would just ask for another Masseuse. The first visit the masseuse's hands where so callused it was uncomfortable and her loudly chewing gum during the massage was obnoxious. They used essential oil for smell therapy during the massage then told me it was a mistake afterwards which lead into some small remark, it seemed as if they where trying to make it seem I had done something wrong. The nature and amount of questions asked for massage therapy seem unnecessary and made me uneasy. I was supposed to have my second appt today but I work in the healthcare field and was mandated into work today. I called at 9:29a.m. to cancel my 10:15 appt. No one answered so a message was left on v.mail. At 10:22a.m. I received a call from them asking where I was for my appt. At roughly 4p.m. I received another call which I was able to answer. She explains I missed my appt. I told her I had called and left a message at roughly 9:30 bc I was called into work and couldn't make it. She literally replied with " You where called into work hmm??" Then tried to argue with me about the time I called, stating I didn't call until 10:30, missing my 10:15 appt. I told her I can gladly pull my call log for her. I will not return. read more

They are rude!! Do not waist your time or ruin your day! They need to be organized and learn the manner as professional. They forgot our appointment and told us that was our fault. It was very disappointing to see they have patient's folder in waiting room. Someone can walk in the building and walk out with them whenever! Dr. Janet takes time to get to know you and her chiropractic care is great! My husband and I have been going to VWC for over 3 years and we have been very pleased with her professionalism, organization, and how she goes above and beyond for her clients. DJ is the massage therapist we have worked with and he is by far the best my husband and I have had! Each massage is geared towards problem areas (he takes time to ask how you're doing and what areas may be bothering you) and he is knowledgeable and great at explaining how different muscles being tight may cause discomfort or pain in other areas. He is very personable and takes the time to get to know you. They offer some evening and Saturday appointments too which is helpful! I would recommend VWC to anyone in the metro area; they are worth the drive! read more

I've been going to this place for a little over a year now, lured in by a good Groupon deal. And, like many of those deals, they hooked me. It's a chiropractic place, but I go there primarily for the infrared sauna. For a luxurious hour, I listen to music or an audiobook, perhaps read a magazine or a book, and sweat like Homer Simpson in a doughnut shop. And, because it's an infrared sauna, you get a good sweat without the normally incapacitating problem of not being able to breathe. It's pure stress relief. I usually get the multiple-visit package and it's a great bargain. Certainly cheaper than the bail money that would be required if I acted on my stress-induced impulses. And Brenda (the keeper of the sauna) is awesome. If I have a change in my schedule, I text her and we work it out. No problemo. Every few visits, I get a massage after the sauna. Yep. An hour of sauna, followed by an hour massage. Why, you ask? Why the eff not? Things to know: bring your own towels. They provide hot wet towels and washcloths for when you are done, but you need to bring your own towels otherwise. I bring 3 towels every time I go: (1) a large beach towel to lay on the bench (2) a regular towel (I roll it up and use it as a neck roll, then dry my body off with it afterward), and (3) a hand towel, used to mop sweat off my face and neck. It works well. Also, they provide electrolyte water for when you're sitting in the sauna, but I'm not a fan of the taste. I drink it because I'm a good scout, but I also bring stuff to jazz up the taste. (True lemon or lime packets.) read more

Dr Sherry is amazing!! I've gone to 4 or more chiropractors over the past 20 some years. Most of the time they want to do x-rays and have you coming back and coming back and coming back! Dr. Sherry on the other hand is a no nonsense chiropractor who knows exactly how to fix a back! She has helped tremendously with my back pain and I would go nowhere else again! I have deteriorating disc disease and on several occasions I have suffered great pain from sciatic nerve damage. Relief is only a phone call away with Dr. Sherry... Great chiropractic care! And also if you're in need of a massage therapist she has the best! Hollie is my favorite! read more

I just had most bizarre interaction today with one of the doctors at The Village Wellness Center in Canton, Michigan.  They called me today and said they had to cancel my appointment.  They told me they were booked and we're unable to reschedule me. So, I asked to talk to the owner.  One of the doctor's answer the phone and she told me the same thing. She did not take responsibility or in any way or try resolve the problem with me the customer.  She was argumentative from the beginning and then asked where I worked. When I responded Ford Motor Company, she said I'm going to take you off the schedule and you're not welcome to come back!  I was absolutely flabbergasted by this outrageous behavior on her part.  Not sure if she was just having a bad day or she was off her meds or what.  All I know is that in essence, she is stealing from me. She will not provide the services that I have already prepaid for. I will be spreading the word to watch out for the shady practices of The Village Wellness Center in Canton, Michigan. read more

I scheduled an appointment for a 60 minute massage that I purchased on Groupon. When I called the representative on the phone was very nice and advised me of the times she had available so I chose today May 12th at 5:45pm. Yesterday I received a call confirming my appointment and I advised them that I would be there. Today I received a call saying that there was a mix up with the appointments and I had to reschedule my appointment. The lady on the phone did not offer any type of compensation she basically said oh well and the the next available appointment is all the way on May 26th. This is very disappointing to someone who was looking forward to a massage that was really needed on today. I'm not sure if I even want to keep my appointment for May 26th and just take a loss of the $45 I spent on the Groupon. I'm not sure if they took another appointment that was spending more money then me but whatever's it is it's not fair to screw up someone's plans at the last minute. read more

Like the last reviewer, I was also hooked by a Groupon (the 3,2,1 package). When i booked my appointment, I was asked to arrive 15 minutes early to fill out forms (which were ready for me when I walked in), and I was surprised that the ladies at the front desk knew my name, prior to me signing in (the gal laughed and said they'd never seen me before so they knew by the appointment book) - that was pretty nice. I was also advised that since the sauna was infrared, I could bring a book, or tablet - really cool! The office was nicer than I'd expected (it was less "doctors office" and more "spa". I was a little nervous about the sauna (I didn't pack flip flops - something I'd thought about on my way there), but was happily surprised when I was taken into a room and was shown a one-person sauna - how nice!! The 45 minutes passed quickly, and like the other reviewer, I drank the water (I should have listened to her and brought flavoring - next time). I did see a gentleman get adjusted while I was there, and he looked happy, which was nice - I might even try it someday. The massage was GREAT (I get a lot of them, and know a bad one) and the technician Kyrstin was fantastic! I will be back, and I will request her. Best thing...there was NO high pressure sales pitch, no "let's get you into alignment", or "the doctor wants to talk to you". I wasn't asked to purchase anything, or pressured in any way. This deal was EXACTLY as described, and when my Groupon runs out, I WILL be back. I have already told my friends and family. What a great place! read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE. I canceled ALL my appoints for the future. The owner, Sherry, still owes me $10.00 for a refund she did wrong. Sherry is always rude. My appointment time was told me to wrong one time and she treated me like I was completely wrong and stupid. She improperly billed my boyfriend insurance in JANUARY and still has not corrected it and they took $80.00 out of his Medical fund from work!!!! I went here for 15 plus insurance massages and it has been the worst experience I've ever had. read more

I have seeing Dr Sherry for over a year now, she is a no nonsense doctor. She will give you her honest opinion, and keep treatment affordable. I love the massage therapists. I always have a chiropractic adjustment and massage the same day since Dr Sherry will have a package deal for both services the same day. FYI, her office has moved to Canton Center Rd, close to Ford Road in State Farm Building. read more
