Dr. Burr came highly recommended to me by friends and colleagues. I had some success with Physical Therapy in other locations, but wouldn't have any luck beyond initial progress so I decided try REACH Rehab. Why didn't I come here sooner? Everyone was right and Dr. Burr is amazing! He listens to any difficulties I have and takes a methodical approach to problems. He also does a great job tracking things we try vs the results to determine if we need a different approach. He is always identifying if there are more effective options we should consider too. Dr. Burr really helped to address the pain I was dealing with in a meaningful way. My experience with previous Physical Therapists helped to improve the situation, but I was still dealing with a lot of pain in day to day life. Within a few sessions with Dr. Burr I was not just able to do normal day to day tasks, but back to enjoying hobbies and life again. He also took the time to help me understand what pain is, what are the causes of my issues, and the thought process behind each of our decisions. I've known RJ for a while, both as a business owner and friend. I had never used his serves until last year my elbow began acting up. I'm an active person and this was putting a huge wrench into my lifestyle. RJ invited me in--there was no pressure to invest in his services. As a matter of fact, if I didn't think it was a fit, he was perfectly OK telling him "no". With that, we were on our way with treatment. It wasn't a quick fix--I had tennis elbow; however, there were things that we did in his office and exercises that he prescribed me outside of the offices, that allowed my elbow to get better in 6 weeks. Look, results may vary. It does act-up on occasion, as well. That is not on RJ, it's on me for not consistently doing the prescribed work. His treatment, both medically and mentally, were tremendous! I have continued to recommend RJ to friends, family, and business associates, dealing with pain. It doesn't need to be only a back issue for you to use his services. This is an odd review in that I have NOT been to see Dr. Burr...............but, I must share with Googlers that I was very impressed with Dr. Burr when I called and asked him about me possibly seeing him for something that I thought he might help with. And, instead of him telling me to come in and spend money on treatments, etc -- he was VERY ethical in telling me that it was likely not something he could help with. It is rare to find people and services that do not try to Up-sell; encourage people to spend $ on things they know will not help them much, or be as valuable as they might expect. He could have easily sold me on some series of treatments. But. His ethical and honest assessment, which took money from his pocket, is the impetus for this review. So. If I do ever have a problem with my back - or know someone that might be looking -- I would encourage them to see Dr. Burr, as I would be more sure that he is giving a true assessment. I am considered an "essential worker" during these covid times, as my family owns a gourmet market. After long- and I mean very long- days on my feet (cement floors) with little down time, my back was on fire. I heard about REACH, as I live in the Downtown Plymouth area and heard really good things, so I decided to give them a try. WHAT A LIFE SAVER!!! I initially saw Dr. Burr for lower back pain that was an issue for over 8 months. In a matter of 6 visits Dr. Burr was able to diagnosis, treat, and provide a plan for continued recovery. This was actually the first time I saw a chiropractor and the results exceeded any of my expectations. The home treatment plan was completely realistic and engineered to be used post-treatment to promote continued recovery. The fact that there was an "end game" and treatment did not go on for weeks was an indication that Reach understands how to resolve problems and get its patients to a better space. Not only did I get great treatment, but Dr. Burr also provided great instruction on how to improve my workouts during my normal post-treatment life. I had a lot of lower back pain for 2 1/2 years. I was sent to physical therapy by my Dr and had no relief. It seemed that I hurt more after therapy and I stopped going. I finally felt I needed to go another route, chiropractic care, but didnt know where to start. I read many reviews and came upon Dr Burr. I was impressed with what I read in the reviews and thought, why not! At my first visit, I was in so much pain I could hardly speak let alone move. Dr. Burr very clearly explained my injury and what we were going to do to fix it. And then he said it would take 4 visits. Now, I've been to plenty of chiropractors, and all of them seem to believe in scheduling visits 3x a week until your benefits are exhausted. No way this could be fixed in 4 visits....well, it only took 3! I love the ideology and methods of this practice...they are innovative, make sense, and absolutely work. I went to Dr. Burr for Hip and Lower Back pain. I had never been to a Chiropractor before so I was a little apprehensive on booking the appointment, but my hip pain needed immediate attention. On my first visit Dr. Burr did an evaluation and went over possible treatments, to my surprise he was not just going to "crack me" and send me on my way. He went over what he was doing and why, gave me exercises/stretches to perform on my own to help ease / prevent future pain. As a recovering stroke patient I was struggling to regain control of my left arm, fine motor skills, stretch, extend my arm and very importantly the ability to type with more than my right hand in my work (My left hand just hovered over the keyboard). A little over 3 years ago, I was 27 and was unable to walk due to crippling lower back pain. I was considering invasive surgery to correct a bulging disc.
