The salesman is so awesome here that I would point an arrow to this shop first to look for a mattress. I honestly had to do a double take of what country that I was in again when i was looking for a mattress. I notice for some reason the customer service in bed shops is amazing in Amsterdam. These guys really know their stuff when it comes to mattress. The guy was so awesome that he even research where we could find the specific type of mattress that I was looking for. I notice when I walk into a bed shop that my true American colors begin to show. The salesman had asked me what type of mattress that I am looking for. So i go into this long pitch of how i want my mattress to be big and feel like heaven. Since I have been living in Amsterdam, I have truly compromised on the quality of my sleep, because Dutchman refuse to toss his old twin bed mattress out. So I am finally getting my moment of glory to sleep on the type of mattress that I am accustom to. I was extremely looking forward to coming in here to check out their Sealy Mattress. I am a die hard Sealy fan when it comes to comfort and high quality mattress. In the past, I have always slept on a Sealy mattress. However that came to a breaking holt, after my big move to Amsterdam. So you know it was a major culture shock for me when those good old days ended of sleeping on a Sealy. I honestly detest the two single bed mattresses pushed together as one. It makes me feel like Ricky and Lucy from the 50's tv sitcom. The only difference now is that the beds are push together as one, instead of apart. Anytime we go to a hotel, then I make a clear request to sleep on a full mattress, just so I can reminisce the comfort of my past bedding experience. Also for the twin lovers, you can order a Sealy mattress as a double too. FYI: Mattress should be replace every 5-10 years, which depends on your age and quality of the mattress.

I realised quickly didn't only need to buy the house but I had to (gasp!) furnish it! I wanted to move in as soon as possible so my essentials included a mattress, 1 fork/knife/spoon/plate and toilet paper. The dishes and TP were easy to acquire but after spending the past year and a half falling in between the cracks of 2 single beds squished together, I was ready to invest in a really good quality mattress. My requirements were 1) good deal 2) preferabley memory foam 3) Able to be acquired ASAP! BedVisie came in on top on all fronts! They were willing to negotiate on a TempurPedic mattress, were able to deliver in a week (about 6 weeks ahead of the Tempur Pedic store in the Woonmall) and they were the friendliest guys ever - no extra charge for bringing my mattress literally up the stairs and into my bedroom. I was able to pay the balance at my house, as they had a portable card machine. It was more easy and convenient that I could have imagined! It is really nice to be able to support shops in the local area as well! Just goes to show you that the big boys don't always offer the best price and superior service!

Most furniture they sell, you have to assemble yourself, but that also means smaller packages to drag home. They often, very often, offer huge discounts on their products so if you keep an eye on their website, which is pretty straightforward and clear for non-Dutchies with a little help from an online dictionary, you can save even more money. I, for example, have a white metal desk with a tempered glass top which is cloudy white. My 12 lbs speakers dropped from 3 feet onto my desk and nothing shattered, not even dented. So, I'm happy. I paid €30 for the desk on sale. What I'm really happy with, however, is their line of Wellpur mattresses, pillows and cushions! The Wellpur products, check pictures, consist of NASA/memory foam and they all have hypoallergenic bamboo covers that are removable and washable. The U shaped neck cushion is one of my favorites! It follows the contours of your neck, shoulders and jaw because of the memory foam. Something I'm also extremely happy with is the 3.5" memory foam top mattress I bought for €175 with 70% off!!! Perfect for people with a hard mattress or a sofa bed. Or even if you don't have a lot of room and you want a "bed" for possible guests, you can just throw one of these babies on the floor and voila! Bed! Their Wellpur line is well worth checking out. See the pictures.

After my massage therapist recommended to me to try their pillows, I zipped in there. I won't go into the "sustainability" factors of this product. It is on their website. Bottom line is, these are made with recycled material and very environmentally friendly. The manager is very knowledgeable and a sleep specialist. He recommended several pillows for me. I love my new pillow and my sleep is so much better. Also, their linen (pillow cases and sheets) are fantastic! So comfortable. I can't wait for the day when I can buy one of their mattresses! I also bought a bed for my doggies. They are wonderful. They are made with spare material when the factories have "downtime" - but you can't tell by looking at them. HIGH quality indeed. Their prices have gone up a lot lately but that is because they are quality.

I had so much fun in Coco-Mat looking for beds and pillows. The sales person first directed us to…read morethe 16,000 euro bed, then we said in a sense humour way, it looks like we will definitely be leaving with just a pillow. The prices for most of the beds were definitely out of our financial league. However, they do sell some economical mattresses that start at 3,000 euros, but then the price spikes up high significantly. I was not interested in the only one that they had on display for the Netherlands. However, I was a fan of some of the other products in the shop that I thought were economical. The sales team in here was very pleasant. Invited us out to their guest home for free in Greece to view more of their fine beds, and surprisingly gave us some really nice gift bags with goodies in it for our home. The nice part about Coco-Mat they are located all over the globe. Their inventory is more then just mattresses, so don't be financially intimidated to come in here, because not all their products will break the piggy bank. At the moment they are promoting a great cause on behalf of women with breast cancer. I would strongly encourage folks to check it out. You can make your own nice pillow for only 35 euros, and a part of the proceeds supports women who have been impacted by breast cancer. They have some serious nice and firm pillows in here.
