Class is about an hour and although outdoors still in a covered space. Bring your mats and water to stay hydrated. The outdoor space has a lovely view with the bay next to you. The nice breeze helps with this Miami weather. The instructor is super nice. Whether your an expert or a beginner (like me) she goes around and helps to make sure your posture and positioning is correct so that you don't hurt yourself. We got one round. Never saw the guy again. Then a toilet clogged. No employee bothered to fix it. So dinner comes. 2 people at one table didn't get served. No they hadn't gone to the bathroom during serving time. Server just miscounted? I don't know... But really? It comes time to finish the party and the owner tells the bride she needs to pay $350 or they shut it down. How rude, especially when they were late! She declines. The. Owner says... How about this, you pay me $250 and we don't serve alcohol because everyone is drunk anyway. What? I was floored. FYI... People weren't drunk. We're we're drinking out of 5 oz cups. So at that point, last song had to happen. We turn to get another drink... Bar was already cleaned out! No last call. Now in negotiation time... This owner will paint you the most beautiful picture. But after money is collected, it's done and she'll do whatever she wants. Btw! When it came time to pay, the owner requested Cash or check, not credit card because of a 4% charge from the bank. This is not a $5 meal. This is thousands of dollars. My recommendation, get everything you request in writing. Write notes on your contract and be proactive with this place. Don't just assume they'll take care of it because they don't care. Maybe hire a day of event wedding coordinator to make sure all the details are taken care of. Or, just have it somewhere else.

Luckily, there is a garage maybe a 5-minute walk away which had surprisingly cheap parking for the area. There were staff there to direct us when we first walked in, and they were super helpful. Everything was so clean, the decor was beautiful, and they had every type of space you need for a wedding (entrance, bar, outdoor ceremony area, indoor reception, and maybe more that I didn't see). The wedding ceremony was beautifully arranged on the lawn, where rows of chairs faced a gorgeous floral arch under the palm trees. My niece's wedding was intimate and romantic that blended perfectly with the landscape. After the ceremony, guests made their way under the spacious reception tent. Honestly, that was the best place to be once that South Florida sun and humidity settled in. The tent offered tons of shade, a cool breeze from the fans and a comfortable space where everyone could relax while also celebrate and dance the night away without battling the sweltering heat. I honestly don't know every detail my niece selected for her wedding, but I do know one thing- her village showed up. My twin sister worked on the ceremony arch, decorating it with lush florals and a flowing cream-colored fabric that gave the display a soft, organic, romantic feel. And I took charge of the welcome sign. I went to Lowe's and had a 20"x40" wooden board cut to size, then ordered a custom stencil with their names+ wedding date+etc from Etsy. Around the border, I placed faux greenery as a base before weaving in fresh flowers to give it that natural, organic touch. One thing that totally impressed me just as much as the venue itself was the awesome staff here. Every employee knew exactly what needed to be done and when to do it. But there was one woman- probably a manager(?) who truly stood out. She took charge with making sure every detail of my niece's and her husband's wedding came out smooth. She also made sure the entire team stayed on the same page. They worked like a well-oiled machine, as I always like to say. Everyone was in sync, and every transition happened like butter smooth. That's exactly what you hope for when choosing a wedding venue. After seeing it firsthand, I seriously believe Vignette Gardens could host just about any celebration- from anniversaries to birthdays, family reunions, baby showers or milestone events- just ask though. This was five years before Miami was even a city. It is the oldest civic group in Miami. Aware of the feeling of isolation that pioneer women could feel in the area Flora wanted a place where women could find fellowship and camaraderie. The club was created with the goal of "community uplift," which was achieved through fundraisers that paid for needs in the community. The club motto was "lend a hand". The promoted literacy and education. Their first project was to raise the money in 1894 for a Sunday school which later became the historic Plymouth Congregational Church. The fame of the Housekeeper's Club spread quickly. Within one year of its inception, Harper's Magazine, a major national publication, profiled the club. The Woman's club became the social hub of the city holding concerts, parties, and performances. Through the years they supported important causes like preserving the Everglades, a library, a girls ranch, cancer survivors, teaching children to swim, and canine companions. Over 100 years later the Woman's Club is still going strong and supporting civic activities in the community. Today you can rent the historic Woman's Club for weddings and private events. The building was designed by Floridas first registered architect Walter de Gamo and it was completed in 1921. The building is made of stucco, oolithic limestone, concrete, and stone. It is a rectangular shape with a gable roof and wrap around porch. In 1975 it was added to the United States national Register of Historic Places. The club has been renovated and special occasions can be booked through CG entertainment. I had the pleasure of attending a wedding here once and it was a lovely and historic venue to hold such a special event. Fabulous Venue…read more Coconut Grove Events coordinated and managed my daughter's wedding reception at the Historic Woman's Club of Coconut Grove. The guests raved about the delish food, and the decor package we selected looked perfect. We had a small gathering around 80 people. To start the festivities off drinks were served on the portico while the wedding party completed the photos. After dinner the DJ took the stage and the dancing started. This intimate venue was dream come true. Rudy and Leslie Rowe made sure we were completely relaxed and handled all the details during the reception allowing us the luxury of being a guest instead of a stressed out host and hostess. We Highly recommend Coconut Grove Events and especially the venue at the Woman's Club of Coconut Grove.
