He got my RX wrong AND his technician didn't help me at all so I ended up with a pair of frames that could only be adjusted so far. Then when I addressed the wrong RX part she tells me that they're going to be blurry at first! SERIOUSLY? I've worn glasses since I was a child. I can assure you that you're supposed to see when you put them on. The girl is irritated because I wouldn't except them. She goes to the Dr. And he "comes at me" with a serious, serious attitude problem. He was mad because he royally screwed my RX and I wouldn't sign the paper that says that my glasses fit my face! Would you? We go into the exam room and he lays into me. I'm a nice, laidback person so I was assuming since they made BOTH of the mistakes that they would apologize and gladly remedy THEIR MISTAKES. I wish I had a recording on my phone of the things he said to me. He's a complete narcissist! He's not used to being stood up to. I will not be bullied, I don't care who you are or what your profession is. There's no way I can accurately describe how I was treated. They could not pay me to give my hard earned money to them (him) again, EVER! This man was behaving like a child. It was unreal! I still shake my head when I think about it.

Never again will anyone I know get glasses here.

We are on an RV trip and my glasses broke. After multiple hassles which I will describe below I…read morecalled Belk Eye Clinic and tried to schedule an eye appointment. The person said there were no appointments available that day but when I explained the situation she said to bring the glasses in they would figure out a way to fix them. I went in and sure enough they fixed the glasses (that I was sure were unfixable ). Not only that but they recommended a store to go to to pick up some things. The folks there were friendly and unbelievably helpful. Now the hassles part of the story I needed glasses in the next day because we were heading out to our next destination that was in Texas in the middle of nowhere. I called the "one hour" glasses place and they couldn't use my current lenses to make new glasses (state law) and I needed to get a prescription. I called my existing Opthamologist (his practice was recently bought out by a mega ophthalmologist company) and after multiple hassles and false starts they sent the prescription. I then called the "one hour" place and they said they couldn't use the prescription since it was over a year old (state law - who knew Mississippi the home of small government had so many laws). That is when I called Belk and they made everything good.

They supposedly reordered my lenses; I realized later that the woman from the back office never even asked my name. I called after about 3 weeks, talked to someone and she put me on hold. Never came back, after about 10 mins. hung up on me. I called back and talked to Bryan and my glasses couldn't be found. Bryan said he would call me back. He did not. I called the next day and was told they contacted the lab and they were backed up. They supposedly remade my lenses and would let me know when they came in. After about a week I was told to come get my glasses and turns out, they never even sent the lenses off at all. These are the same glasses, bifocal in the same place and I can't even use them at all. My part $250 down the drain.

I had cataract surgery on both eyes about 2 years ago with no complications and wonderful results. Recently the right eye seemed a bit cloudy. He brought me in yesterday for a laser treatment to remove the growth of cells over my artificial lense. Again, the results are excellent. I woke up with clear vision in the operative eye, and there is no residual pain or discomfort. This procedure was subject to a deductible of several hundred dollars from Humana, plus a fixed fee for the surgery center itself. I feel that my outstanding vision at age 73 is well worth the fee. Dr. Benefield and his staff have always been very courteous and helpful over the years. There have been one or two appointment glitches, but those are only minor inconveniences which also happen in other medical practices. I highly recommend this office after nearly 10 years and I'm thankful to have this quality of service here on the Gulf Coast.
