With the housing market having been fast and furious the last several years, it stands to reason that if you are willing to pay more, your job will jump on top of the stack already lined up. You have choices, but the product can be based on supply and demand. This surveyor is busy because they produce quality work at reasonable prices. Their legal descriptions are always on point. If there is a problem, they will call you or email you and work to figure it out. I am a real estate closer and past title agent that values their services. Coffin & McLean are old school in their method, but honest and knowledgeable. You can count on the survey being done right.

I'm not the world's smartest guy but that does not make sense. Here's the real kicker , I was told if I wait 6 months he'll do it for $450.00. They are the embodiment of incompetence. Their accounting system will keep you on your toes. If you don't monitor EVERY transaction in your checkbook and EVERY owner's ledger you will have a cascade of accounting issues to sort out. They have taken funds out of the association checkbook without submitting an invoice and claim they had the contractual right to do so under the auspice of "Capital Projects" that exceed $2,500. I capital project is very time intensive and expensive. The costs of a capital project are amortized over multiple years. Building maintenance and repairs are expensed in the year they are incurred. I called in a plumber on tow repairs that needed to be completed and scheduled for the work to be completed. I have worked with the plumber for over 10 years and there is nothing to do do after they are called in to do the work. PMI - Adventure Coast had a couple of email correspondence exchanges with our plumber and took 10% of the total cost of the work that was done or $1,350. They did the same with another plumbing project for $3,000 where PMI did absolutely NOTHING. I and the unit property manager coordinated the work with the plumber and PMI took 10% of $3,000 or $300. This is just a trailer of the reviews to come. I will follow up this review with multiple reviews documenting all of the mistakes and missteps our association has had with PMI and every one of the review will be accompanied with a one star rating.

I got lies, inexperience and pride filled questioning of me. I think there is a disconnect between the agents and broker here because I didn't have just one poor experience, I had two from two separate agents. The end result from both transactions was losing the purchase. Had it not been for my tenacity and the seller personally reaching out to me, my home purchase would have been dead. After in depth conversation with the seller, I discovered misrepresentation and untruths from my agent to the sellers agent and to me. I was scolded by my agent for reaching out to the sellers agent and questioned multiple times regarding my trust of an agent that hadn't earned or displayed any reason for me to trust her. End result ... I cut ties with Horizon Palm and my agent and the seller and his agent have made this experience fantastic after cutting ties. Just a side note, if you don't sign an agreement these agents don't have to work for your best interest and they will only look out for themselves, but you don't have to accept that and I didn't and separated myself from this realty group. If the broker cared she would have called or intervened, but did nothing!!! The seller and I saved the sale. Just do your research ... this realty group nearly lost me two homes I wanted. You have the right to talk to seller, sellers agent or anyone you'd like ... and you should because it's your money!!!
