This location was previously a Rite Aid pharmacy and during that time it was efficient, friendly,…read moreand easy to use. After it became Walgreens we continued to use it for several years but the service quality decreased steadily after then. 10 to 30 minute wait times became the norm when picking up a prescription, and the drive-through closed for several months as well. The staff is constantly changing, many of them are completely apathetic and have no interest in providing reliable or friendly service. In an ongoing corporate series of changes, it eventually became impossible to reach anyone at Walgreen on the phone, Rx items were frequently out of stock, and errors went uncorrected. Finally, after this pharmacy taking five (you read that correctly) days to fill a prescription, I changed pharmacies to Bangor Drug Co company. Going to Walgreens ironically took more time than it did to drive the extra distance to Bangor Drug Co company. Getting a prescription filled at Walgreens has become far more difficult than it should be. I'm done.

While slightly more expensive than online shopping, the friendly and knowledgeable staff like Avery makes it worth going into the store and buying from them every time.

My elderly frail mother is on oxygen 24/7. She has to use portable oxygen to get to her doctor's appointments, radiation, and chemotherapy. She uses up her oxygen supplies quickly. I have to call them every month for refills and when I do, I am put on hold forever. Many times after a 30- 60 minute wait, someone will answer but then hang up! So, I have to call them back only to wait the same time again. Last week when I ordered her supplies, they were supposed to arrive that Thursday. The supplies were never delivered. Back on the phone to call and find out why the oxygen wasn't delivered and ask for it to be delivered ASAP. That call when as expected; it took 35 minutes to get through to be hung up on. I called back, and this time it was a 51-minute wait. Finally got through to find out they changed my mother's address back to a place she hasn't lived in for over 7 years! To get that fixed, it took over an hour! Supposedly she will get her oxygen this week. Please go with a different company! We are changing companies for sure!!!

THEN we were hit with smiles, pleasantries, small talk and about 15 minutes of questioning including "whats your absolute max you would spend?" I must've repeated 100 times I wanted a firm-as-a-board mattress for my achey nurse's back! I gave him a price range. He rubbed his chin and said it didn't give him much room to work with. I'm sorry, a single solitary mattress for 1000 should be doable. He led us to an example and asked me to try it. Said it was the best of both, firm and soft, a "compromise" for me and my husband. I'm thinking "you mean, something neither me or my husband like - what kind of compromise is that?" I obliged him and began to sit until I realized the quicksand filled mattress was a far cry from my firm mattress request. I reminded him for the 101th time that I was hunting for a firm mattress. His eyes widen, feigning some epiphany - "Oh you want firm??? I know what you want!! - Follow me!" And he led us to a mattress TWICE the price of our budget! I thanked him, pointed out that he routed us to something twice our budget and told him we would continue our search.
