Realistically, no longer can these vitamin and supplement shops compete with Amazon. The Dymatize Performance Fruity Pebbles protein shake was loaded high with 30gms of protein at only 6.2gms of carbs but at a premium price per bottle of $4.49. The manager informed me that Sunday thru Thursday every week is $1 deals on certain energy drinks and Built Puff protein bars at six maximum per day. Went in to get a quick bottle of a natural supplement for my pup and the salesperson, Tamika ('T'), not only greeted me politely as soon as I walked in, but knew exactly what I was talking about , as well as other available brands and modes of delivery. She suggested a couple other things too - she clearly knows her stuff. This was refreshing as I had gone to 3 stores prior and nobody even knew what I was talking about. I spent almost an entire month emailing back and forth with the customer service team about a disrespectful interaction I unfortunately had at this location with 2 female employees. On that day, I had arrived + parked outside, and as I was exiting my car, I spotted both employees near the front of the store pointing fingers at me and laughing. I was surprised to see they were both grown adults, one was an elderly woman. I entered the store immediately after, and watched as they ran to the back and pretended to stock items on the shelves. I quickly found the item I was looking for, (only took me about one minute) and when I headed over to checkout, I had to stand and wait because the employees were pretending to not notice me haha. I had to walk over to the back of the store and ask for assistance at check out. Guilty much? Went to purchase vitamins. After looking for a certain brand I had a question. Approached the counter where one employee (older lady) was helping a customer. The other was slumped over the counter looking at her iphone. Stood in front waitng for her to lookup and help me. After 5 minutes of standing there waiting for her help I left and went to Whole Foods and spoke with someone in the vitamin section who was courteous and helpful and I then completed my purchase. Due to a recent testing I must be proactive and take 2 specific vitamins. After standing at Whole Foods for nearly 10 minutes being totally overwhelmed I left. Went across the street (still overwhelmed) and tried to figure things out. I was quickly asked if I needed some help. Unfortunately i forgot the young man that had helped me (I do know that he was formally from Chicago). He was super friendly, personable and quite knowledgeable of the products. He walked me to each section I needed made suggestions and told me pros and cons of each brand. At checkout he signed me up for a free rewards club. I will definitely go back when I run out. I've been buying from this store and online for about 5 years and have always enjoyed my interactions at the store with its employees, until today. Today, I encountered, by far, the worst customer service, and it turns out, it was the manager with whom I had such an unpleasant experience. His name is, Lazzaro. If you ever have the displeasure of encountering him, be prepared. He was rude, condescending, and unprofessional, at best. After I left the store I filed a formal complaint with corporate, by phone. It was entirely unacceptable the way he spoke to, and interacted with me and 100% lacking in proper customer service. In a word, it was disgraceful. Also, it turns out he was wrong. Upon speaking with corporate about my order, which I said I received in June and Lazzaro argued was not possible, nor true - it turns out I was correct and corporate verified this. So, not only was he rude and condescending, he was wrong and argued with me that I was wrong - yes, argued. It was just disgraceful. Who does that with a customer? And of all people, he's a manager. Other than this rude, condescending manager, Lazzaro, I have enjoyed my interactions with the employees at this store. Am hoping corporate fixes this issue, because it's a shame to have such an unprofessional manager. I wondered, if he spoke to me, the customer, this way, how does he treat his employees? read more

Well this may become a trend, me giving a review about a place that I'm fond of whose management at the corporate level seems to be racing its stores to an earlier death then retail seems headed for in general. Vitamin Shoppe offers a really huge selection of vitamins and supplements, usually run sales on many of the items, and it's been my experience that the staff is reasonably knowledgeable about why you would pick one kind of vitamin C over another. Lately, I have found that it is impossible to visit the store without being heard reminded no shoved Into ordering things online. These pills and gummy's and capsules are not outfits at Neiman Marcus or delicious slices of pizza or chocolate, nor are they a cool destination with beautiful beaches or breathtaking slopes. They're freaking pills. How motivated do you geniuses at corporate think a customer would be to go online and impulse shop their way to a bigger cart and purchase? Zero. Newsflash, I come here to check things out, to have someone give me some old-fashioned customer service, and explain to me why I should stick with the brand I'm used to or buy the one on sale, since the one I'm used to seems never to be on sale but that's another thing to complain about. My point is that you have a blatant attempt here to simply rid yourself of your employees in your stores and expect your customers to follow you to an online experience that is bland and in my own opinion, bleak. Again, these are not sexy exciting items but someone could impulse shop their way through. I strongly urge you to reconsider this very ill-conceived push before you go out of business altogether and I'm forced to overpay for less choice at Walgreens, which is an otherwise great store except you have to wait online at the prescription counter for all the Adderall addicts and meth heads who complain that they're out of whatever it is they're out of on the fourth day of the month because they lost it or their dog ate it when we all know they traded one for the other. Rant over I'll go take a CBD pill and calm myself. On a happier note, the nice sales clerk showed me exactly what I wanted and I bought it so you did get to ring up a sale. I was preparing to spend few hundred dollars in this store as I usually do. I had basket full of stuff, I was the only person in the store on a Saturday afternoon. I ask one of the workers if I could use the restroom, she 1st said there is not restroom in the store, and I said you have no restroom is this store. She said well we have a restroom but not for the public. I said I am a paying customer, and I am spending a few hundred dollars as you can see by what I have in my basket. She said sorry we don't have a public restroom, and was very rude about it. I put my basket down and walked out. Fantastic place for all your protein needs! They have tons of varieties of protein powders and protein bars! They price match but usually their price is the best. It seems like they constantly have sales on my favorite protein bar, Quest. The store is very well kept and the people are helpful and friendly. read more

The worst. I ordered and Payed for Vitamins online. Stated there were two products still in stock online. Called in the morning next day to make sure item was in. They said no but a truck was coming in that morning. They stated that they would call me as soon as the truck came in with the merchandise or not. They called and left a message for me to call them ASAP. I called 3 hours later because I was at work couldn't answer the phone. I called them back but they closed early due to the coronavirus and then I find out today when I called them that they refunded my money and gave product away to someone else. Then I receive email that they are going to send me vitamins at no charge to fix this matter and when I say that's great........they now say I need to order onnline AGAIN and pay for them AGAIN. I am done with the vitamin shop. I will be ordering my vitamins from other companies from here on out. read more

I've been coming here for around 5 years, and the main reason is for convenience. It's close to my house and they're open late. That being said, it is begrudgingly that I go to this location. They're always out of what I need and can never tell me when they'll restock. I've had to change my products several times, such as preworkout and mass gainer, because of their poor inventory. Most importantly, their customer service needs major improvement. All the employees seem relatively clueless and rude. Two weeks an older woman spent so much time trying to convince me to sign up for online reorders that she forgot to look up my coupon. A younger woman there always has an attitude. My husband is usually the one who does most of the shopping in this store but being sheltered at home for so long I volunteered to come in this time and I'M SO GLAD THAT I DID! I was helped by Ashley and she was such a pleasure! The older woman there was very nice as well but I was BLOWN AWAY by all of Ashley's knowledge and how honest she was with me. Not like in other stores where all of their employees just seem like monotonous robots or they just don't care. She really took her time to explain everything in a way that was easy to understand and I really appreciated that! The store itself was very well stocked, clean and organized. Kudos to the management staff for hiring such excellent people and for training them so well. I think I'll be taking over the shopping here from now on! read more

The prices here are definitely better than some of their competitors and they have a great variety. The prices tend to be a tiny bit higher than what you might find online, but it's worth it to get feedback from the employees. read more

This store is one of the bigger stores I have been in. Always clean and the staff is always helpful. In general I love Vitamin Shoppe because they have a big variety and they have what I need. I but vitamins here, protein shakes/bars and other supplements. If you are part of the rewards club you can earn cash back rewards at the end of the year and you also get occasional discounts. This store like all of the others I have been in deserve more than 5 stars. read more
