My last review of this Publix was eight years ago and main thing didn't like about this location was the terrible traffic getting in and out of shopping center and it's parking hasn't gotten any better, but with chame of times will focus on business itself. This Publix is small and doesn't have a pharmacy like all the new ones, but generally has just about everything you need when out shopping for groceries, place is always kept very clean and there is never a lack of employees stocking shelves. Their seafood department is well stocked but most fish don't seem as fresh and probably frozen. Bakery is one of the things I love as they always have freshly baked Cuban bread and their pastelitos, donuts and variation other pastries are excellent. Staff at this location are always super friendly and always smiling no matter how much pressure is put upon them these days. I asked him in Spanish, and he responded with an attitude, "Sorry, I don't speak Spanish." The thing is, I had heard him speaking Spanish before, so I knew he spoke Spanish. I didn't make a big deal out of it and simply asked him again in English. Then, moments later, an older woman asked him in Spanish where the fruit was, and suddenly he was speaking Spanish to her and treating her very kindly. I have no problem speaking English, but the way he handled the situation was unnecessary. Don't give me an attitude and tell me you don't speak Spanish when I had literally heard you speaking it before, only to immediately speak Spanish with another customer. Unfortunately, this kind of behavior seems to be becoming more common lately, and it's honestly ridiculous. There was absolutely no reason to treat me that way.

While preparing for an early morning fishing trip I realized that one of the batteries in the bank had died. I went ahead and ordered the battery from a local auto parts store only to arrive there and find that they had ordered the wrong one. Feeling rather desperate as everything was closing I called West Marine and spoke to Will. Not only did they have the battery I needed in stock, they kept the store open an extra 30-minutes in order for me to be able to make it over in traffic and purchase a battery, saving my fishing trip. If nothing else that alone deserves five stars in my book. Be warned that the shopping center where this west marine is located is pretty sketch. But the store itself is clean very well organized and well stocked. From electronics to fishing gear to clothing, it's all there. Overall could not be more pleased with my experience today than I am.
