Titan Gym is honestly one of the best gyms I've been to in years. While it's a smaller facility, it…read moretruly has everything you need to reach your personal fitness goals--whether that's general strength training, bodybuilding, powerlifting, or simply shedding a few pounds. There's plenty of equipment to go around, and even during peak hours you rarely have to wait more than a couple of minutes to use a machine, bench, or squat rack. The gym is also exceptionally clean; it's clear the owners take pride in the space, because you'll barely find a speck of dirt or even a smudge on the mirrors. The owners, Norm and Joanna, are some of the nicest people you'll meet. They're also very knowledgeable trainers who offer personalized training sessions tailored to your individual goals. What Titan Gym may lack in size, it more than makes up for with its sense of community. The members are incredibly welcoming and diverse--ranging from college students and young professionals to parents and older adults staying active in their later years. It's a place that supports both casual gym-goers and serious lifters alike (including a member who recently placed first in a state powerlifting competition). You also won't find the stereotypical "gym bro" atmosphere here--people are respectful of each other's space, time, and noise levels. The people here also organize activities outside the gym as well, ranging from Spartan races and marathons to casual hikes, beer festivals, concerts, and even weekend gaming. At the time of writing this review, Titan Gym is located in Alamo Ranch, though they plan to move to a much larger facility later this year (close to the Santikos Theatre). That will be a great step forward, as the current space can feel a little cramped in certain areas. Still, even in its current form, Titan Gym manages to create an environment that feels welcoming, supportive, and genuinely enjoyable to be part of. I'm personally a Texas transplant, and finding this gym went a long way to making this place a new home.

Came for the PoweRow class with Alison. (Booked with ClassPass)…read more Space was really clean and spacious for the class. We used nice water rowers, TRX bands and kettlebells. Alison was a great instructor even when pregnant! Props to you, girl! I enjoyed the intensity level of the class. I could go at my own pace on the rower, but I was taught how to measure my progress with the split level and the power. It made it easy to follow along but still challenge myself. It was my first time using TRX bands in a class so I felt a bit clumsy with them. Alison did a great job explaining it again to me when needed. Overall great experience for my 1st class and I'll book again! Side note: I also noticed they have a small gym area available for members to get a personal workout in. Only thing I'd suggest is to have some water cups available. Unfortunately, I forgot my water bottle in the car before class and didn't see any cups available at the water station. I was so parched during the workout, but made it through! Lastly, so great that they validate parking with the Hemisfair garage!

The rowers have actual water in them, which is different from the machines I've seen at other gyms. I liked how the instructor incorporated different circuits and exercise patterns, which meant I was never bored, and the time flew by quickly! My legs were sore the next day. Great studio!!

Machines are older, everyone that lifts here is yolked, and there's not a whole ton of space. I felt a bit awkward trying to work in with dumbells on the side. But, really cool gym!!

I get inspired by these sort of body building gyms, as they are such a nice break from the CorePowers and Equinoxes of the world that I normally frequent... I'm basic af, I know. All the plates are iron, industrial fans cooling the place, huge mirrors everywhere, it's open 24 hours, machines you won't see anywhere else, and patrons are about their business and just EATING weights. I was probably the smallest person in here by 80 lbs, but they couldn't have been more welcoming. I paid a $20 day pass twice, and what I loved was they didn't try to sell me on joining the gym. I'm so sick of being upsold in literally every other area of my life. Something about handing that crispy $20 bill, signing a waiver I didn't read, and being able to have free reign of the gym was so refreshing. You go to a 24 Hour Fitness and get a day pass, it will take you 20 minutes of small talk and having to fake like you're considering joining before you can get to working out. 3 days later, my quads are STILL sore from one of those gnarly machines that I have never seen before, and will likely never see again. Sore in a good way though... THANK YOU MUSCLE FACTORY I LOVE Y'ALL! IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews

During the sign up process, I noticed the gym was extremely hot, crowded, and smelled bad. I told them that I was not interested in a membership and they still enrolled me. Then, I asked for a refund and not only did they refuse, but they threatened to charge me $150 extra for a "cancellation fee." I had to change my account number, get a new debit card, AND dispute the transaction! They are fraudsters and engage in terrible business practices & treat potential clients horribly.

I've tried warehouse gyms, big box gyms, powerlifting gyms, bodybuilding gyms, you name it. This gym is great for a lot of reasons and could also be improved in a few ways. It's not my regular gym- I drop in a few times a year and pay for the week pass. I've never had an issue doing this or being charged extra from the week pass. Cons: locker rooms need better upkeep, STRONG turf smell, music too loud occasionally (like so loud I can't hear my own music in my earbuds), staff is hard to track down, some rude staff (literally just 1 girl but the rest of the staff has been nothing but super friendly and nice so I'm willing to write it off as a bad day for her). Pros: lighting is awesome, black walls and murals are awesome, they have posing rooms if you're into bodybuilding, TONS of free weights, powerlifting plates, cable towers, squat racks, benches, and varying machines. Extra equipment (like mats, med balls, kbs, etc.) are lacking, but they have enough to do what you need to do. Great gym if you're into powerlifting or bodybuilding especially. They have a supplement store and you can get snacks, shakes, drinks, etc. Prices are also really good; you could easily spend the same amount on a commercial gym that has 2 squat racks and 200 treadmills. The community there is SO nice as well. The biggest pro is that they're not insanely busy like most gyms I've gone to. I can always find a squat rack or cable tower and have never had to wait. In short, it's a gym worth trying. If it's not your thing, it's not your thing, but it's definitely one of the better gyms I've been to and I'll be coming back every year when I'm in town. P.S. For what it's worth, I've tried most of the gyms in SA and I prefer M.O. by a mile.

All I have to say is it took me more than 5 phone calls/ plus showing up to gym multiple times to finally get to owner. All her staff (who are the owners friends) are rude and will give u dirty looks. I canceled my membership bc owners employee aka friend decided to take away my friends membership based off the past drama she had with my friend years ago (in HS) and my friend was 28 yrs old at the time of the revoking. In short--the owners employees (friends) are the business' downfall. Not sure why? They must hate on their friends success. I could never be unprofessional, especially if it's someone in my circle's business. FYI--since my review coincidentally there have been multiple 5 star reviews all of a sudden.
