Back on Sept. 10th I stopped at the watch shop to see if I could get a battery replaced in my watch. It was only an inexpensive timex, it had been loosing time, so I figured it just needed a new battery. I asked if he could change the battery in my watch,he said yes.I asked how much , he said $13 . I said ok, he took the watch and went back into his office. There was a window so I could see him at his desk. I could not actually see what was doing, assuming he was changing the battery. After about 10 minutes or so he came out handed me back my watch, charged me $13 and I left. After while I noticed my watch was still loosing time, so I figured since it had a new battery something else must be wrong with it. So I bought me another Timex watch to replace it. I set the older one on my dresser and after a couple of months out of curiosity I checked my old watch on the dresser and it had stopped running. Now if it had a new battery put in it back in Sept.,it should have been still working. I do believe he frauded me by not changing the battery and charging that he did.. I will not go there again. read more

10-10 would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for watches or watch repair. I went in there think my watch would need repair and all it needed was a battery the guy behind the counter was able to fix it on the spot, only charged $13 USD including tax and did not take very long swapping the battery. read more
Okay so I thought about this one for a day or so as I hate to be completely negative and especially in this case considering this place only has one other review on here... But I didn't leave this place feeling very happy. I took my watch in to have it looked at as it stopped working. It appeared to me that it was going to be as simple as a battery however I had already had that replaced a couple days earlier somewhere else and it didn't fix the problem so I thought maybe I'd have this gentleman take a look at it as I was thinking if it isn't the battery that's causing me issues, this establishment also repairs watches. After trying another new battery it was confirmed that the watch needed further attention to get it working properly. This guy behind the counter handed my watch back to me and said that this particular item isn't worth fixing. Now I'm guessing he is going on a monetary point of view meaning that this watch isn't a nice fancy Rolex or even a Seiko and that it wasn't worth it in that mindset. He is in fact correct as the watch in question is a Belair that retailed for about $270 maybe 10 years ago. The reason I'm upset by this is because even though it's not worth that much money, it was my dad's watch. It wasn't his nice expensive fancy watch it was his everyday watch. It was the one he was wearing pretty much every time I saw him. When he passed away a few months ago, my mom gave me the watch. The fact that I might be willing to spend hundreds of dollars more than this watch actually retailed for isn't a common thing, however the guy behind the counter at The Watch Shop didn't even consider this. I would have felt better if perhaps I had just been quoted a price of how much it might cost to repair it and let me make my own decision from there instead of just looking at me and telling me that my watch wasn't worth it. Now in his defense he did not know the backstory on this when he said that and I'm quite sure he wasn't purposely trying to be mean or upset me in any way, however that's exactly what he did. read more

I was in despair when I saw that the watch repair stall at the JC mall has closed permanently. I took my watch with the band that the cat seemed to have destroyed to The Watch Shop, who fixed the problem perfectly for free. read more

Very friendly and quick service. The best place by far to get a battery replacement!
