I once had a house cleaner show up, hoping for a nice, once a year, thorough cleaning. She cleaned with one hand, while talking on her phone with the other. Why am I telling you this? Maybe just to illustrate that the old axiom "It's tough to find good help these days," is alive and well on the Space Coast. Or maybe I just want to draw a contrast between crappy service and the incredible 5-star service I've been getting from Space Coast Pools. I think this guy deserves at least 3 stars just for showing up when he says he will and for being communicative beyond what I expected. He earned the other 2 after the fact. I first called Space Coast Pools, and several other Pool Maintenance companies, all of whom I had to leave messages for. (Understood in that I called during the day, when I'm sure they were busy working.) Brandon called me back within an hour. Only one other company even called me back at all and that was several days later. When I ended my call with Space Coast Pools, Brandon thanked me for "the opportunity to 'earn' his business." I think my heart skipped a beat. On our initial meeting my pool looked like a FROG SWAMP. It would not have surprised to see an alligator. Brandon didn't hesitate. He added some things to my pool (without any kind of agreement or contract), gave me a good quote for service and promised to be back Tuesday (it was Saturday) to inspect his work and continue service. Again he thanked me for "the opportunity to 'earn' his business." The very next day our pool was gorgeous. Since then, the pool has never been less than crystal clear and inviting. Plus Brandon remains punctual, polite, and communicative beyond expectation. The only reason I would ever stop using Space Coast Pools is if I die or move to a house without a pool. Even then I might call them!

After finally confronting the lead tech Dustin, who informed me that he was the owner's son, he claimed that he was here the previous week. I had been closely watching the pool for the past week, and have a garbage can full of leaves that I got out of the pool my self to prove it. Also since Flip Flop Pools does not leave cards when they clean your pool, it's difficult to prove whether or not they were here. After talking to Dustin, who also left the gate to our fence open despite knowing we have dogs, we decided to take our business elsewhere. Tip to the owner, give your customers receipts whenever you show up. It's a decent way for both you and the customer to prove if there were any lapses in service.

The peron responsible for cleanings did not like having to contact us to unlock the gate and became quite confrontational. Like the other reviewer we were told she had come on a day and gate was locked so didn't service the pool. However we do have a way to check if someone came with a security camera and mentioned this to the person who said they were here. After mentioning this our landlord received notification she quit! In this day of being able to watch anything from anywhere you'd think they'd be sure they were doing what people were paying them to do! Very unpleasant to deal with.

Attentive at first, service starts to go downhill over time. I used this service for three years…read moreand in the beginning, they were good - attentive, consistent, reliable. Over the three years, and multiple service techs, responsiveness and consistency eroded to poor performance. Personnel turnover is an issue. Consumers should beware. Techs seem to last about 2-3 months, then a new person will show up - on any given day (I've had a tech - someone I'd never met before - show up on a Sunday when my regular service day was Friday). I had a leak in my pump return line and it took two weeks to get a response, then when communicated they would be there the next day, nobody showed up. I went from being a priority to being a nuisance - there are a lot more companies out there who want your business, similarly priced, and won't treat you like a nuisance. Go elsewhere.

There was a week and I was there on the day and the guy never showed but sent me a pic saying how pretty they made my pool that day?? No single contact person to interact with. They say its family owned, but the family does not care at all. They dont care about feedback whatsoever. The last straw was they suddenly decided to stop service at my pool and did NOT bother to tell me. No email no call nothing. I dont live there year around so I did not know. The water went black in a couple of weeks and I had to pay 2k to get a new pump and filter which was broken.
