I've started doing laser hair removal with Thana and so far it is AWESOME! You will most likely have to do multiple treatments before the hair is totally gone. But I will tell you that after my first treatment on my underarms, I didn't have to shave for OVER a month!! Win!! I just had the second treatment so we'll see what happens next! I will still attest to the fact that I would never trust anyone other than Pam Medlin for my permanent cosmetics. She is such a perfectionist - there's no way anyone else could do as good a job. She always makes sure she has the right color for your skin tone/hair and that everything matches and balances to look very natural. She's given my incredibly straight eyebrows a perfect arch!! Her facials may be painful sometimes, but they are very productive and totally worth it! My skin is always glowing when I leave! Then there's all the gifts at the front... Ugh. I always want everything!! Last time I was in, I ended up with two bracelets, earrings, a candle, and some yummy lip balm. And that means that I wouldn't let myself buy the pajamas and make-up bag I wanted! I use Bare Minerals cosmetics so it's always easy to grab that while I'm there too. And as far as I know, it's the only place in San Angelo that offers it. (I'm not totally sure on that tho...) Overall, I totally love the Waterford! I wish I could spend more time there! On my third visit to The Waterford I was very pleased! Even though the body polish is not normally offered on the weekends, the girl who does them agreed to come in on a Saturday so I could have a body polish. The front desk staff was super helpful in scheduling a time for me to come in and I was grateful they would work with my schedule. The body scrub was SPECTACULAR. Oh my word. My skin felt like satin... the only complaint I had was I can't buy the scrub to take home with me! That's okay though, it's nicer to have someone else put it on me. HORRID BUSINESS! I had a friend go in the morning for a Lip Flip and was charged 48 dollars. I went the SAME DAY and was charged 100 dollars! I have had this service before, and NO ONE TOLD ME ABOUT THIS 4-HOUR PRICE CHANGE. Gabby or Gabbi in the front has the worst customer Service! Waterford does yourself a favor and GET RID OF HER. I don't know why Lauren would deem her "best waxer" or whatever because her ghastly attempt and waxing my eyebrows left me looking like Bert from the Sesame Street. I had Biote pellets implanted here and was incredibly satisfied with the results! I did not feel the injection at all and was pleasantly surprised at how painless the whole procedure was. Just had my first waxing (brazilian) with Donna at Waterford Wellness Spa. Not only was the salon clean and everyone pleasant, but they also sell great products and have cute accessories available. Donna was professional, yet she made me feel very comfortable. She took the time to be sure I understood waxing (I've been waxing for 5 years) but she wanted to be clear on anything that could cause issues after the waxing. Got a Brazilian wax done by Donna. Terrible. Missed spots, didn't pull the hair the right way causing it to break at the skin. What's the point of getting a wax if your going to have to shave tomorrow and more than likely get ingrown hairs?? After telling Donna I studied in the past to be an esthetician, after I mentioned that she stopped arguing with me and comped the wax. I give her points for that. read more

My presence in this spa seemed to be a nuisance as I tried to schedule an appointment. I actually stopped for a moment to ask if they were about to close because I could come back another day. They assured me that they are open and would be for several more hours. While waiting, a man walked in, they (two women) dropped everything, including scheduling my appointment to serve him. As I waited I tried to look at the boutique area which was littered with boxes, plastic, and open client record drawers. I see Lisa for botox. She is very good. I would recommend her. The staff is very nice, however on my last visit I was charged $15.00 a unit for Botox which is pricey. This is the most that I have had to pay per unit since 2004. Keep this in mind when making your appointment. read more

I have been to the Waterford for a spa day before with no issues. However, I took my 3 month old daughter in to get her ears pierced. I thought long and hard about where I wanted to take her and thought the Waterford would be best with the most experienced staff. Unfortunately, it was a terrible experience. First of all, when Donna marked my daughter's ears with a Sharpie for the piercing, she had me look at them to make sure they were evenly placed. She explained that "one ear is curved and one ear is flat and this ear is higher than the other so don't look at them individually but straight on when you look at her face." I was a little concerned already since she was practically telling me my daughter's ears were uneven. But, we pressed on. I held my daughter in my lap and held her head tight to my chest. She was perfectly calm until the first ear was pierced, of course. She was really quick and as soon as she finished both ears I picked my daughter up and held her close to calm her down. Donna cleaned her ears as she settled down. Then Donna took her and held her out in front of her and looked at the piercings and said they looked good. I snuggled my daughter close some more and walked outside with her. I put her in her car seat and went home. When I got home, she was still in her car seat and I looked at both ears. I was shocked when I realized that her left earring was pierced almost on the cartilage instead of on the earlobe where the right earring was. They looked completely uneven and I was so upset. I called up there to talk to Donna and explained that I didn't look at her earrings until we got home since I was consoling my daughter at the spa. I asked if I could bring her up there for her to look at them and she said "yes, but bring her now." So we headed back up to the spa and Donna looked at them. She said "well, I guess we can move that one down a little bit. Whatever makes you happy. It probably happened whenever you pulled her head back." I had no clue what she was talking about as I kept my daughter as still as I possibly could while she pierced her ears. I was really taken aback that she would blame it on me but I decided it wasn't worth the argument. We went back in the room and she took the old earring out and went and got her smaller marker to mark her ear correctly this time. She pierced it again and it looked as it should have the first time. My daughter was of course crying again as expected and Donna looked at her and said "I'm sorry! It's your mommy's fault!" Again, I chose to say nothing. It just wasn't worth it to me. The new earring and the old hole were literally at least 1/4 inch apart so I'm not sure how this wasn't caught when she looked at them the first time. I'm really disappointed at my experience. I understand that things like this happen but I felt that it was very unprofessional for her to blame it on me. read more
