This studio is nestled into the 3rd floor of a very clean and polished building with a parking structure attached. While convenient, you do not necessarily need to use the structure as there is ample FREE street parking. These parking features are only an added bonus to the immaculate and very high tech studio. Upon entering the establishment, you are greeted by a professional and well-manicured waiting room from which you can traverse into a conference room, where clients/talent can discuss the segments they will be shooting, or the room could be set up as wardrobe/hair/makeup, or into the stunningly large studio (where the magic happens, although I guess if the conference room is transformed into a hair/make up salon, that could be considered MAGIC too) that boasts both a large green screen space and a "talk show" set. The control room is located in the corner of the "talk show" set and green screen portion of the studio, where the mastermind Adam magically transforms the talent from standing in a studio in Beverly Hills to standing in Las Vegas, Hong Kong, a deserted island or even standing next to Kelly Ripa on the set of "Live with Kelly and Michael". I have used Beverly Hills Studios on several occasions to film new footage for my hosting reel (and trick people into thinking I am the 3rd host on Live with Kelly and Michael) and let me just say, the footage I have received is extremely impressive... All of my peers are convinced that I host at least three shows they were unaware of... Even though I really just simply wrote specific segments and shot them accordingly. Whenever I walk into Beverly Hills Studios I get exceedingly excited because when I leave I confident I created some "fancy" (professional) footage that I can be proud of!

You can watch the previous day's "Le Journal" (news edition, 25 minutes long) on the website: http://www.tv5.org/TV5Site/info/jt_tv5.php Not only that, various other programs can be viewed there as well, ones that the viewer might have missed, e.g., "Kiosque," which brings together journalists from around the world, for 90 minutes, for a round-table discussion on the major news events of the past week. There also appears to be a year's archive of "L'invite," which interviews prominent French public figures, to watch at one's discretion. One example of this dedication to providing its audience with serious programming was its interview with Dr. Mohamed El Baradei, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) (and recipient of the 2005 Nobel Prize for peace) . It is posted in its entirety here: http://www.tv5.org/TV5Site/internationales/emission-13-Internationales.htm In contrast, I turned to www.cnn.org to see what videos were available for viewing. What I found were a bunch of 1.5 to 3 minute snippets. On www.msnbc.com to watch a 2-3 minute short video, the viewer must wade through about 20 seconds of commercials. CBS's Sixty Minutes, on the other hand, apparently has previous week's programming archived for immediate viewing on its website. On the half-hour nightly news, NBC, ABC, and CBS have probably have a total of 18 minutes of actual programming, with a total of four commercial breaks. How is it that the francophone cable television clearly beats any American television network (or its affiliated website) in terms of actual news programming, both in terms of content, quality, and quantity. (It also should be noted that France, the driving force behind TV-5, has about 1/5 the total population of the U.S., proving the point that size is not necessarily an indication of quality). Why do Americans have so short an attention span? How can we expect to make wise decisions when our news comes in sound-bites? Why is the upper limit of our tolerance--when it comes to news, at least, no more than 7 minutes? On the other hand, why do we tolerate so much high-decibel crass advertising thrown in our faces when it only serves to spur the very consumption that are threatening the quality of life on this planet? Clearly, TV5 is much closer to a PBS affiliate in the U.S. (there is greater variety in the programming). Now that we have a new Administration, I am wondering if we may see a shift in our priorities as a country, with a larger public sector to counterbalance the private sector that failed us in so many ways during the previous eight years (of George W).

Some really great topics with all the trimmings of jingles, bumpers and no in-stream ads, that I detected. It is apparently host supported and I see some complaints in that area, but the station does have costs to cover. A great challenge taken on by its owner, Sam. To compete against the huge giants that control LA Radioi. Good job, keep it up!

I was loyal to his station, and brought great guests, including Grammy award winning artists, and Academy Award winning directors. The only thing that Sam cares about, is the $99 / WEEK he charges (even if you run a repeat, it still costs $99) If you pay with a $100 bill, good luck getting your $1 in change owed to you. If you show up with only $95, he'll hassle and threaten you, until you show up with the other $4. My show broadcasted live on Tuesday's, and Christmas 2018 & NY Day 2019, both landed on Tuesday's. Any radio station that I know, does not broadcast live on major holidays, they broadcast Pre recorded content or replays. Well, I didn't show up on those two holidays, believing that I didn't need to, and I didn't receive a call or text on those days, asking if I was showing up.... so I believed that all was okay. When I arrived on January 8, 2019 to do my broadcast, Sam walked into the studio, and demanded that he be paid for three weeks of broadcasting. We decided to table the discussion until we could set up a time and meeting with my show sponsor. A few days later, I went online to download my previous week's broadcast, and was shocked to discover that the website was down, as I was looking at a blank white page! I posted an update for my listeners on facebook, informing them that the site was down, and that I would have more information for them in the morning. The following morning, on January 15, I received text messages from Sam, stating that he would sue me for slander and that I was a liability to the station. I told him that his site was down and that he wasn't providing the service that we pay him for! I told him to stop harassing me, and that I'd see him later that night when I show up for my weekly broadcast. I also told him that I was going to bring a hard drive with me to download my entire archive. He told me that he would deny access of my archive to my listeners, unless I pay him for the 2 missed holidays! He also set up a meeting for us, that evening. Well, my sponsor and I showed up for the meeting, and Sam did not! My broadcast that night (which ended up being my final) was with Director Cameron Crowe, and Rock photographer, Neal Preston! It was an amazing show! Afterwards, we saw Sam in the parking garage. He looked at us, ran to his car, and backed out of the garage, nearly hitting us in the process!!!! Moral of this story is, that Sam (who is originally from Israel), will harass and treat women like shit, insult, demean, and lie! If you are black, he'll treat you even worse! To wrap it up.... Hosting on LA TALK RADIO is a good learning experience until you are able to move on to a much better station, where your rights of Free Speech are supported by the owner! Screw you, Sam!
