God has changed me , rocked me , transformed me and keeps doing his good work in me. I started coming here in 2013- I still absolutely love this church after 5 years. Here I am ....the sermons, pastors, the worship team, the atmosphere, they are all about prayer, fasting which is so powerful, being unified and they care about the members. I love that they not only have Sunday services, but everyday of the week something is always going on... Woman classes, men, couple, youth camps and more. I enjoy the married/ couple meetings on Sundays at 9 am "Family Strong" awesome Pastor Tom teaches it. love attending the services and classes when I am visiting family in The Modesto area. The Holy Spirit Rocks me each time I come! Even when I watch on Youtube or watch the channel on stream TV. Well, with that said No other church is like TheHouseModesto. I would love to live closer but I am here in San Jose. Awesome church, so blessed I found this church!

They decide who is important enough to pray for, seriously not one person came, or called, when my husband called and asked them to pray for him. While the congregation has a strong foundation of longtime members, it's been really special to see more young families joining in recent years--something I think is beautifully supported by the heart and leadership of the pastors. The worship is simple, but truly meaningful--focused, reverent, and uplifting in a way that feels authentic every week. There are so many opportunities to stay connected, whether it's through Bible studies, small groups, or regular events that make it easy to grow in your faith and build real relationships. Our church home became even more meaningful when my husband and I were baptized there in 2024--a moment we'll always cherish. And on top of that, our son attends the preschool, which has been an incredible blessing to our family. The staff is absolutely amazing--caring, attentive, and truly invested in the kids. I've been attending the college group the meets on Sunday Nights at 6-7:30PM. Listening/watching teachings from passages of scripture & having a group discussion about what we just learned has been really eye opening in getting other people's perspective. After the meeting, we normally hang out and play spike ball, eat food, and have fun making conversation with one another. I would say that this place is good for getting connected with the body of Christ and being fed milk and a little bit of meat but not a lot of meat. I haven't attended the morning services to know, but that's just from attending their college meet ups. The place is super clean, spacious and clean. The restrooms are huge and well kept. Wasn't expecting that at all being in Downtown Modesto.

I became the victims of identity theft and it eventually cost me my home. I was in an extended stay hotel when I contacted the church office asking to speak to either Ron or Jennifer Eivaz, the head pastors. I sent emails, texts and social media messages to Jennifer. I was a faithful attender, tither, and money to their kingdom builders. I attended groups and conferences classes. I tried very hard to be a part of the community that they preach so highly about. I was ignored and . I was very honest about the fact that I was homeless sick scared and all I really wanted was prayer and a little bit of support. And their response was to ignore me. They take the pulpit and preach about the importance of community and accountability but they take none and provide none. I resigned my membership citing the fact that I was deliberately dismissed and kept away. I was expressive about the damage this was causing, and I was told, "you have been marked inactive." They cause harm and then call your reactions sinful, telling you your need to forgive, you have a "spirit of offense," from the pulpit, but take NO ACCOUNTABILITY for their role in ant any of it. I left a google review that they promptly had removed. if you can't afford their classes, books, conferences, workshops, etc. don't expect to get to speak to anyone from leadership. but you CAN expect that your inbox will EXPLODE with self promotion video links, emails ands text lease messages. It is Christian's like this that cause people to wage the church and turn the their backs on God. if this is what a Christian looks like, I'm glad I don't look like one! the damage they've caused me has been significant and extreme.

During the Covid19 craziness of 2020, with churches closed by the government, I found myself…read moreopening my Bible everyday and reading as much as I could. And I was learning things that none of my previous churches (Catholic) had ever taught me in over 40 years of attending Catholic Mass. In reading God's Word in the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, I found I wasn't able to reconcile so much of the Catholic Doctrines/Traditions to Scripture. In fact, I found that many of the negative things Jesus and the Apostles said about the Pharisees at the time applied directly to the Catholic Church traditions today. This inspired me to attend non-Catholic services online and a few in person. The Christian services were more Bible centered, but some came with other add-ons, like taking Enneagram personality tests for discipleship programs, or worshipping through song nearly 40 minutes and than reading the Bible for only 20. These things felt distracting from God's message in the Bible. Finally I found Rock Church of Turlock. I watched several Live services online and then my family and I attended in person. We haven't stopped going ever since. Pastors Kevin and Justin truly lead us to focus on God's Word, His will, and His Gospel through Jesus Christ. There are no gimmicks. We worship through song for about 15 minutes, then we open our Bibles and read together, listen to the Pastor talk about the passage, and then pray together to carry God's message forward in our daily lives. Yes, Rock Church is still meeting outdoors, but it actually feels like we are hearing God's Word and worshipping Him out in His nature! One day, God willing, we will have a physical "home" and roof over our heads as we worship and pray, and I think we'll all kind of miss being outdoors. But until then, I thank God everyday for leading me to this church community that continues to point our attention toward God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and God's good news in his Son, Jesus Christ. Being with this community strengthens my call to repent and turn my life, heart, soul, and everything to Jesus. And I want to tell the world about how we are saved by what Jesus Christ alone did for us. Thank you Rock Church of Turlock for encouraging us to stay focused on Christ Jesus!

I…read morewas first invited to an in home group gathering in which my wife and I decided to attend, what a great group of people! they were very supportive of each other through their ups and downs in life and made us feel as though they had known us forever. After attending this group function they called "GPS" for several weeks, we found ourselves wanting to check out their church. We found that The Rock Church of Turlock is a "homeless" church that meets at Walnut Elementary School in their cafeteria. at first I didn't know what to think, this is different? We were made to feel "at home" from the moment we walked through the doors! What I learned is that a church is not a building, a church is the body of believers in which I am a part of. Pastor Kevin preaches the bible as a literal God inspired book that tells of our history, our present and our future. We have found that the smaller more intimate atmosphere is a perfect fit for our family. over the course of the last 8 years attending we have grown not only in a way of family and friends but most importantly closer to God I am very thankful for the people of The Rock!
