Love the vibe inside this place - exposed brick, friendly bartenders. Had two cocktails, Cranberry Campfire and Old Fashioned. The Campfire was tequila, cinnamon and cranberry, so I was not expecting it's syrupy sweetness - assume the cinnamon was syrup and not just cinnamon. The Old Fashioned was strong. Not sure what bourbon is used, but it burned going down. Next time I'm in the area, I'll go for a beer. read more

We were visiting Covington and stumbled across the Well. The atmosphere was fun and casual and the food was incredible! I had street tacos and fried plantains! The bartender was so friendly and gave recommendations for other places we should visit while we were in town. Great customer service and excellent food I highly recommend! read more

This place everything you need. Great location, magnificent decor, and flawless atmosphere. I was literally just spending a couple of hours in the Cincinnati/Covington area on the way to Lexington. And when looking for the perfect spot to relax for a bit the Well came up. And what a perfect choice. The service was great, the patrons as well as the staff all friendly and wonderful. It definitely brought back the feeling of being home in Miami's Wynwood district or Fort Lauderdale's Las Olas. Love the building! Right in the front is a room with an electric fireplace that reminds me of a living room! I was alone, so sat at the bar. Staff was welcoming. Drink was fabulous...some of my favorite things like Elderflower and Lemon in vodka. There is a food pop up in the back which I will review later...but it was "Great" as Tony the Tigar would say! I was here right after they opened and it wasn't crowded, and I loved all the spaces. Parking is by meter. Drink was so very good I even had a second before my meter ran out. I was there only for a short time and didn't get no bite. So can't tell you if the food is good or not. However I can tell you that the service isn't as good as expected. I felt ignored for a good 20-30 min, the bartenders avoided eyes contact and kinda pass over me even when they see me been waiting. Maybe it just an off night. Drink prices a little high, but good. Went for Clue themed pub crawl....only place that had a hard riddle! Windows at bar open up so in summer/busy they can handle both sides! Pretty cool...never seen a bar do that! Other side has a huge patio and a large fire pit! read more

Great out door seating area friendly staff. Excellent option for a happy hour with friends. Solid menu of appetizers, sliders and snack-able options. This bar is a great addition to the Covington scene. Tons of TVs for all of your sports needs, cocktails were excellent and at a great price, and a light bites menu coming soon! Really cute spot with ample seating and an airy feel. There are large televisions above the bar for watching sports, will definitely return if there's a game on to watch! Worth mentioning, the bartending staff were so kind and had such positive vibes! This was my first time in and they explained to us that the food is entirely separate from the bar. You order your food at a window at the back of the restaurant and the entire restaurant functions separately from there. It worked smoothly as they weren't busy and we didn't have to wait in multiple lines. Once you order your food at the window and pay they hand you a buzzer to alert you when your order is ready for pick up from the window. All non-alcoholic beverages have to be purchased there, you cannot buy coffee for example at the bar. They had a sandwich board menu of breakfast options at the window, didn't know they offered brunch food until we walked back there - nice surprise! My friend ordered the breakfast hash and gave a good review. I ordered the Caesar brussels sprouts, and they were charred and absolutely delicious. We split the beignets which were a tasty treat. It was too cold to utilize the patio this trip, but it looks awesome, and almost as large as the indoor portion! Can't wait to return in spring! read more

Most people that tend bar believe that customers come in to have a drink. They seem to be unaware that "customers" could have a drink at home much cheaper. This is not the case at the Well. The owner and his lovely wife go the extra mile to make the "customer" fell that they have come to a friendly establishment. The mixologists, who on my visit were Britney and Patrick rendered top of the line service and made a great effort to make the "customers" become friends. The ambiance of the business is beyond reproach. It is very clean and the back bar is not cluttered with personal items. The restrooms are clean and well maintained. Drink prices are within reason. Not having takin advantage of the culinary experience I cannot attest to that portion of the business, but that will be corrected at my next visit. read more

Nice atmosphere, inside and outside seating with lively staff and patrons. The Old Fashioned was very good, 3 simple ingredients. We had the hot honey chicken skewers, brussel sprouts, wings, and chips and dip. Food came up fast. You order drinks at the bar and food in separate area. We were very happy with everything we ordered, especially the hot honey chicken. I would not order the smoked wings again. Although they were covered with a rub, the flavor was not good for me, and they were a little dry. Overall, good time. We will definitely return! read more

The only downside is in the winter, when you can't utilize the patio, it gets super packed, super quickly and it can be difficult to find a place to sit. Definitely won't stop us from making this a stop when we're in Covington but definitely something to consider when you're dropping in! read more

First time coming into this establishment. Lived in the area for many years. No real indication of how seating works. Multiple tables that haven't been busted(cleaned) Bar tender who female definitely wasn't the kindest of person. I asked for a old fashioned with rye whiskey and she acted as if it was a issue for her. What bar doesn't have a rye selection for said beverage. As a non-local to the area, I discovered The Well online and decided to check it out. The space itself is inviting and spacious, especially on days where the weather allows for outdoor seating. The service was quick and effective, no complaints about the bartender nor the kitchen staff. My only complaint is the small quantities of the food orders, and I must say, despite enjoying the smoked chicken wings, and sliders, there is much room for improvement in food quality. I would come back for the drinks and ambience, and not necessarily for the food options in the future. read more

Mitch is an absolutely phenomenal chef. He fuses his past from New Orleans with food that is very palatable to the population of Cincinnati. He's very easy to talk to, and he understands what his guests are looking for and he attends to that. He's an overall around 10 out of 10 and he'll keep me coming back every time I visit Cincinnati. Walking in was confusing with no clear direction if you search yourself or wIt to be seated. One bartender, no server. We sat and looked over the menu when a pleasant girl named Ashley explained the concept of ordering drinks from the bar and walking to the back to order food. While scanning the menu we thought it sounded weirdly interesting so we decided to order several items. We walk to the back and begin asking questions about certain ingredients. At this point we are met with complete condescension. I had imagined by the description of the chips and dip it would be presented like nachos , but it's kettle chips and tasteless overpriced dip. The mac and cheese was chalky and overcooked noodles. The burger was $6.00 for a two bite slider. The winners were the brussel sprouts and the fish sliders. The loser was the guy taking the orders and I can only guess making someone else's experience a bad one. The bar itself is lovely and would return for the atmosphere and kind bartender.
