In my 22 years of working in the senior living industry, this is by far the best retirement community that I have been employed with. The dedication to the residents and staff here at The Westmont at Short Pump is incredible. No detail is left undone when it comes to the amazing food served by our chef and our Culinary Department. The Wellness Department ensures that the residents have the highest quality of care and maintain their independence to their fullest ability. The Life Enrichment Department has engaging and stimulating programs 7 days a week to include evenings as well. Outings take place throughout the week, as well as entertaining concerts, art classes, and lifelong learning programs through our Retirement Unlimited Inc. University. Our Housekeeping and Maintenance Department make sure that this community is clean at all times and that everything is functioning well. I recently attended an evening event at the Westmont and was very impressed by the atmosphere there as well as by the scale of offerings for the residents. The residents and their families were happily mingling and enjoying the upscale food and music while visiting with old and new friends that they have met since moving in. Although a fairly new facility, the Westmont has the feel of a long established residential choice for seniors seeking a beautiful and well-run new home. I am a current resident at The Westmont at Short Pump. The thing I like the most about this community are the people that take care of me. From the front desk (Kathleen), to my housekeeper, my nurses, dining team members and activities, everyone is so nice and kind. Someone I truly want to give recognition to is Kathleen at the front desk. She always makes me feel like I am home. My favorite memory while living here is when the Fox Rehab team took me out golfing at a local golf course for a therapy session. If I had to share anything with others looking to join this community, I would tell them to come on in, because we are having a good time! read more

Recently had the opportunity to visit this community for a tour. The community has bright, open hallways that are very wide which gives the community a modern feel. On the ground floor, we were amazed by the large sized work-out room which also is shared with the physical therapists. The second floor houses a nice activity space and a bar area. When we visited, there was a happy hour taking place in the bar with music and it was full! The third floor had a movie theater with current movies being shown, which was very impressive. We are considering this place for one of our family members, and it is on the top of the list. read more

The Westmont at Short Pump is an outstanding senior living community in the Short Pump area. They have a wide range of signature programs which even includes a program where staff members can assist residents in taking care of their pets here. I love that they have an age in place concept where residents can move-in as independent, start to need nursing services, and can stay in the exact same apartment. This is great for couples where one person might be independent living and the other may be assisted. I would highly recommend scheduling a tour to check it out yourself! read more

I am extremely happy here at the Westmont. The assistance during the entire process - with both family and me - was exemplary. The responses to all inquiries and requests(and there were many!) were all handled in a prompt, positive manner. ALL personnel encountered working here have been extremely courteous and helpful, especially Anne in housekeeping, Kenny in general maintenance, and the servers in the dining room (they really deserve a bonus!) The team at Westmont at Short Pump go above and beyond to meet the needs of the residents. From the Chef and his team creating new menus and having brunches to bring in family and friends, to the attentive care from the Physical Therapists, CNAs, Housekeeping staff, front desk and especially, the Enrichment Activity Planners; I am amazed every time I am scheduled to work there as a Caregiver. I have enjoyed living at the Westmont. I like all of the people and the staff, especially Rebecca, Linda and Glen from Life Enrichment team. They put on some of the best activities that I have ever participated in! I really enjoy the wine tastings. Glen, the van driver will take us wherever we need to go. When I was sick, the Doctor said I had to walk twice a day, and Sydney, one of the team members walked with me on her breaks. read more

As an employee here, I had to write a review, this is one of those once in a lifetime places to work. Top down investment in the employees, and in the residents. I would not hesitate to move my parents into any of their facilities. However, The Westmont is a beautiful, brand new building that has to many amenities! read more
