I'm honestly surprised by the low ratings. Is this place perfect? No. It could use a little TLC here and there, but if I'm judging the food, this was a winner. The boys were lobbying hard for Tully's, but I convinced them to give this fried chicken sandwich spot a chance. Happy to report that there was not a single complaint while dining here. Choosing a sandwich was the hardest part. I went with The Competition: pimento cheese and hot honey, which complemented each other so well. The fried chicken itself was juicy inside with a crispy seasoned coating. It wasn't greasy and had just the right amount of spices. My one son stepped outside his comfort zone and ordered the Roll Tide with Alabama bbq sauce and dill pickles. So thankful he was willing to share; it was excellent. My favorite part? Upgrading to the sweet waffle fries. I've had plenty of sweet potato fries before, but never ones tossed in sea salt. Absolutely enjoyed the salty-sweet combo. We had a fantastic meal tonight at Whiskey Coop! The fried chicken meal was amazing, mashed potatoes to die for. I enjoyed the blackened chicken pasta dish! Genny was great with the service and Scott the manager stopped to check up on us which was a nice touch. We will be back when we are in the area. read more

I had the Derby Salad which was great. My daughter is Vegetarian and we actually have enjoyed eating in your restaurants because she can get the soy burger that she enjoys. The new location doesn't have them. She ordered the fake chicken and it was not great. Also the service was very slow. We understood when we got there it was very busy (it's also very loud!) but had emptied out quite a bit before we left and we were left sitting with our dirty dishes in front of us. We came for my MIL bday and it was difficult to enjoy conversation afterward with all of the dishes, let alone for her to open her gifts. We went to the Coop for a later dinner on Saturday night. The service was okay friendly server but was clearly done checked out for the evening by the time we arrived 8:45pm not that late in my opinion. The food was mediocre, the prices seemed very high for what you received. We are a family that does not paying for good or great but when it's just okay it's hard to justify their pricing structure. The food is pretty decent. Burger for $19 was small. Last time I was here the chicken was overcooked and I had to send back. This time the sweet potato fries were cold and limp. Did send back an had some good ones. I think for the price they should up their game. read more

My daughter and her party of four - and a to go order. Five meals. The to-go order was for me - as I was fill in babysitter for the evening. Very pricey for Watertown, NY. I looked online when they asked me to pick out dinner. Shocked. One of the four dinners the party ordered consisted of an extremely dry piece of chicken (which was described as hollow). Smash burger was good, but $20 plus dollars? My daughter ordered the "Derby salad" to-go (aka, Cobb) for me and got maybe a cup of wilted spring mix spread out in a plastic bowl - with a few crumbs of Bleu cheese or Gorgonzola, walnuts and what I think are dates. Not the Derby - by any stretch. See pics. To make matters worse, I almost broke my tooth on a nut (I think it was a nut). There's no way I'm touching that pathetic excuse for a $23 salad. There's $3 worth of ingredients. I live in Orlando and the salad pictured below is max, $10. No meat. Wilted lettuce. Awful. $23??????? Somebody in the kitchen saw this to-go dish and said it was okay to send it out. Unacceptable quality. Apps: fried pickle spears - a grand total of four fried pickle "slivers" (@ $15) and corn fritters (hush puppies in the south) - six small balls for four people. Another @$15. I'm saving this salad in the off chance that management wants to see it - including the thing that almost broke my tooth. My daughter shared her take home chicken sandwich. Overcooked and thin. Tasted like fish - as did her fries. Clearly not cooking the fish in a designated fryer. Dear Lord. Total bill: $212 plus tip. In Watertown, New York?????? Wow. Chicken wasn't fully cooked. The classic chicken sandwich was all Kaiser bread taste, the insides were meager, this wouldn't fill up a 10-year old kid. Sad because Sackets Harbor location was really good. read more

Reservation for 8 on Mother's Day. Everyone was disappointed. Was expecting a brunch with the quality of Tin Pan in Sacketts. First basket of buttermilk biscuits @ $10 for 4. Cold, dry, overcooked. French Toast flat piece of bread overcooked if not made earlier and just warmed up. You can get an egg your way, again over cooked and dry. If you want to pay a lot of money for ehh food give it a try. Otherwise take your money go to the scruffy diner Mo's excellent pancakes, eggs your way, yummy French toast then take everyone out for ice cream with the extra money and the food is cooked and hot.
