I've always had a vision of camping out with our closest friends for the wedding weekend and this was the best way to do it. Our entire wedding party and close family were able to stay on the property, anything that went "wrong" on the big day was saved by Richwood and our coordinator. Each staff member was attentive with quick responses and transparency throughout the process. Everyone at Richwood understands that weddings are often the most important day in the couple's life and puts in the extra effort to make the day easy and carefree. Also- a huge bang for your buck! The quiet country setting was the perfect backdrop for a weekend of mindfulness, meditation, and conversations. This place was an old cotton mill that they redesigned into a vintage yet elegant Fairfield (they probably could have/should have made it a JW, it's that nice). The staff is always friendly and accommodating and the location is perfect... Situated right on the river with great scenic views and a short 5 minute walk to all the excellent restaurants and watering holes on Main St that Madison has to offer. If coming through town for work or for leisure, this Fairfield Inn is the place to stay.

I loved the inclusion of locally made goods, like: the hand soap, chocolate truffles, and coffee they had available in the room. It was quiet and peaceful and a quick walk to Main Street. I loved learning about the history of the building and seeing old photos too. They also had a sound machine, which came in handy for us since I forgot the one my toddler sleeps with. You do have to make sure to memorize your key code or bring your phone everywhere (which most people do all the time). The lobby is key code access too and I almost got locked out once - whoops! We would be happy to stay here again and I'm sure we will be back someday!

It's also very close to a nice (not kidding!) Dollar General Market that is very handy for all those things I always forget to take on a trip. The Chandler is yet another reason to visit Madison. We are already looking forward to our next stay. Their practice of not having an employee who customers meet face-to-face and instead using text/email for entrance instructions is probably off-putting for some (it initially was for me), but their system works just fine. I encourage you to not be intimidated by it.

me and my wife rented a queen suite for a weekend getaway but were very disappointed by a few…read morethings for a $215 room I expected a lot more the first of all we found like 4 huge centipedes in our room and the hotel claims to have an indoor pool and hottub which were closed upon arrival with no explanation with an outdoor pool down the road that closed at 5:45 keep in mind check in wasn't till 4 the tv in the room was Not able to connect to the WiFi nor was I able to connect to the WiFi at all regardless of us trying to do it the way the manual instructed so we had no tv which Was one of the perks of the room the room was also torn up bath drainplug was just torn out of the bath and I had to figure out how to get it back in a few cabinet handles were broken and holes in the wall behind the bed the hotel was advertised as a super nice inn but all in all it was kind of sketchy and poor quality the room was spacious and private and the bath and shower were nice but thats abt it no tv no pool no WiFi and bugs

The last two times I've stayed, however, the smell of mold was practically overpowering. The first time, I thought it was because I had chosen a Jacuzzi room but this time I was in a regular room where the smell made it hard to sleep. The bathrooms are clean and nice in the rooms as well. The swimming pool is nice and well maintained, but I didn't get in it while I was here. If you want interesting things to do while you are staying at the lodge, you could go visit the Butler Turpin house here at the park or go visit a nearby winery. There are plenty of things to do in the area to keep you entertained as well.
