We talked about it and I agreed to be her go-to person for when the Bridal Party was on their way back. I was getting ready, the DJ was set, we were ready to rock, and Christine was still worried about the timing. It was just the food though - she had a big roast to be carved at the buffet and didn't want it to get dry. I totally got that. So I made sure that the Bridal Party let me know when they were heading back. The evening started off so awesome! The bartenders were good. One was a little mopey, but I heard he was the nephew and probably wanted to go out that night. Ha! The other was Christine's husband, it turns out, and he was HILARIOUS!! Such a nice guy! Slinging drinks like crazy! I called up all the tables and when it was my turn to eat, wow, EVERY PIECE OF FOOD I ATE WAS INCREDIBLE!! To go up the gymnasium portion and slides I had to help my kid along. The little baby area he wasn't really into I think because the toys either were not working or because of the inflatable motors he couldn't hear them. The other interesting thing here were so carousels (coin-fed rides like you used to find in the malls) but you had to pay extra to enjoy them. As with most indoor playgrounds there is a strict no outside food and socks rule. One nice thing about this place was the abundant parking. The actual huge climbing structure is well constructed and great for the kids. And there's a fancy delivery robot so this place really has a little bit of Asian kitschy feel to it. But the downsides are that the place happens to feel a bit rundown in places. The entrance has that feel occasionally. The coin operated rides are annoying if you don't happen to have multiple loonies on you (only the claw machine took a toonie insofar as I could tell)... and there are lots of potential add-on charge items like the rides and the games and the toy dispensers. I didn't partake in their menu as we chose to go elsewhere to eat after lots of playtime for the kid, but overall our trip here was excellent. The door was a bit confusing to the building but the parking seemed ample on the Sunday morning when we visited. Operational hours are limited but that's actually kind of okay for an indoor playground space like this one I think.

On the 2 occasions I've gone, the children did splatter painting in their special paint splash room; and making mini unicorns with modelling polymer at the other party. Event space runs for 2 hours which includes time to consume the food you bring & open presents. Plus they have smocks for kids who aren't quite appropriately dressed for getting messy. The art that's made is also the keepsake/ giveaway for that party... obviously there'll be a delay for painting projects to allow drying, but the polymer ones can be taken home same day. There is a washroom at the back of the facility, which has child friendly stools, but I've noticed the sink drains really slowly there. The nice thing is that they have a bucket of soapy water near the art station you are at, so kids can wash hands before eating. They do have some adult classes as well which I think would be fun, but have yet to do. I don't remember hearing traffic that night in August, but it could have been drowned out by the classical music, etc. As we walked back toward the entrance to visit the Japanese Garden, after exploring the other garden, we once again could hear the howler monekys along the tram trail. Great. As we entered the garden, they entered the Showhouse, and we made a note not to go in there so as not to cross paths with them. We stopped at the cafe to grab some water, and I noticed they offered Chapman's Ice Cream. I was a bit excited as I am a Celiac, and most of Champman's ice cream is gluten-free free. I was ready to order some until it saw that if I NEEDED a cup instead of a cone, there was a $1.00 upcharge. Nope. The gift store was pretty sad.
