On the PCs they are the latest spec and there are comfy seats to relax whilst your playing games such as League of Legends or Hearthstone. Their beer range is not huge, but the well known brands are there e.g. Carlsberg, Guinness and Peroni and start from £3.50 a pint. If you are looking for cocktails they have several game themed ones such as Forcefield and Fnatic are they are at £8 each. Since they don't serve food, they kindly let people bring their own in and since there are several take away on Caledonian Road most gamers order from the place and get it delivered to the bar. They have plenty of tournaments and gatherings during the week as well as freeplay sessions. If you loving playing or watching games then Meltdown is a great place to be.

There's one massive projector and a couple of other screens of various sizes. We went on a Friday night around midnight and there were only a handful of people inside. They were showing. The International (the biggest Dota 2 tournament) on screens but no one was really watching. Drinks: Cool video-game themed drinks (similar to MADD at Soho) though almost all the drinks are based on SC2. Limited cocktail choice. Cocktails were something like 8 pounds each. Wish they put in a bit more effort. Had 2 drinks, both were enjoyable and reasonably well-made cocktails it just feels like they kind of created the drinks they wanted to and named them after rather than done the drink and name as a cohesive effort. Had a fairly standard selection of beers at normal ish prices (didn't spot any craft beers) Others: They have 2 computers fully decked out with pro gaming chairs, mouse, keyboard etc... They're free to use when it's empty (as it was when we were there) so that's kind of cool I guess. They also have 2 xboxes. Not a lot of games as they're focused on a very limited number of eSports so the xboxes are mostly for fighting games. Overall: Place feels like it has a lot of potential. It's hard to get a feel for it without coming down for an event. Based on the London Barcraft facebook page, it seems they have now shifted from The Assembly House to Meltdown for many of the big tournaments, so I imagine coming here for one of those will be a lot of fun. I'll update this review once I get around to coming down for an event.

It wasn't busy. I got the oyster mushroom tacos and a side order of the fennel and kohlrabi slaw. The food arrived pretty quickly and I was pleased to see what appeared to be (pink) beetroot taco tortillas. The mini tortillas are the perfect conjecture of soft and firm, falling apart only slightly. The mushrooms are delicious with the pasilla chili. The slaw is also phenomenal and BRAVO for the portion size. As a side, it's easily splittable between two people and I had half for takeaway. Lunch tomorrow! If I was in the area, I'd definitely return here.

Two downsides - the cost is slightly more than I feel comfortable paying, but it's on par with other restaurants in the area. The other is their tortillas for their tacos break really easily. Kind of wish they gave you two for each taco (like they do at most small taquerias in California) Other than that the food is delicious and definitely hits the spot when you're craving legitimate Mexican food. And you can even get a £5 Tecate to wash it all down!

It does have a bunch of foosball tables which are actually in pretty decent shape. And I believe the downstairs section has even more foosball tables. Don't think they have any beers on tap though. There is a basement and maybe there are taps down there, but given the beer is all just bottles it seems a bit pricey. Great for a football match, pretty chill after the match.

On arrival we were directed to the basement area which has it's own bar and about 4 fooseball tables. I love foosball so that aspect about Bar Kick really appealed to me, as well as the the Happy hour from 4-7pm (their mojitos are brilliant!) I was however let down by their so called food platters which consisted of two small hummus bowls, two types of cheese some bread and a few crackers. Not sure how much the food was (our company paid for this), but it hardly fed 3 people, before it dissappeared. Another let down was that the one foosball table that we were given to play on was super wobbly and the other was missing parts, not something you expect from a foosball bar and expecially not if you're paying £1 for each game. We still had fun though and I realised that my foosball skills are still terrible ( I blame the wobbly table though :p )

I have been here several times to watch bands play, or catch the odd DJ.. The crowd are a nice mix of people in their mid 20's-30's, grounded with life, good conversationalists, who know how to have a good night out. Its a large venue, with four different areas, so theres plenty of room for social diversity.. a chance to have a natter with a friend, or swing those hips. It has a pub come music venue feel, with beer on tap ( Yay!) and shiny disco balls ,with a few chandeliers thrown in for good measure. I haven't failed to have a good night out here yet.

I paid £2 entry fee- which I think is very reasonable because although a lot of the pubs in Camden don't charge, £2 really isn't very much and it is definitely one of the better pubs to go to. Drinks were very reasonably priced too and every time I went to the bar I got served straight away.. No waiting around for ages for someone to take my drinks order which was really good seeing as it was so busy, The music was great! Really varied music styles being played throughout the night. I went with a large group of people all with different music tastes and everyone was happy and having a great time! I'll definitely come here more often.
