What a lovely experience! I took an older wig with me to give them an idea of color and shape desired and 15 minutes later, I left with my new wig. Not cheap, but I'm not either and I'm tired of buying cheaper wigs that don't last. Since I purchased a synthetic wig, they offered to trim bangs, thin it out, etc. but I needed no trimming. Just bear that in mind.....they can't trim a human hair wig and you'll have to go to your hairdresser for that. I'll be back! read more

I was very impressed with this place! I have had some hair loss in recent years due to trichotillomania, and I had never worn a wig before. The Wig Shoppe has a large variety of colors and styles, and you can try them on. The lace-front wigs are so realistic, I thought they were attached to the mannequins. Like Mike Z. said, the women who work here are exceedingly knowledgeable and empathetic. My new wig took only three days to arrive, and it was customized and trimmed to my preference. I would have given it a minus but I believe yelp forced me to give it at least a one. Please do not go to this wig shoppe!!!! We were told by an employee our insurance would pay for the wig if we got a prescription from the doctor for a cranial prosthesis. I had never hear of a cranial prosthesis before. She did not say "might"- she said "they will". I bought the way overpriced wig and when I called the insurance company, they said they would not pay for it. My husband tried to take it back the second day ( I had never worn the wig) and the owner, Heather would not take it back and was rather emphatic about it and uncaring. I was never told it could not be returned by the employee either but the owner said it was on the counter. I should have found out about the insurance before I bought the wig but I trusted the employee knew all about it. Heather told me the employee would never have told me that but both my husband and I heard her. By the way, everything else is way over priced too.
