Love! Went in for the first time yesterday looking for new extensions. I usually buy one of two brands I love, online, but was feeling impatient & wanting to see what I could find locally so I can pop in as I please. There were a variety of options in what I was looking for (blonde, clip in) & I liked the choices of lengths & being able to see the different thicknesses. I have thick hair so it's important how extensions are made & how they feel. They are not all created equal. Both associates who helped me were friendly & knowledgeable & were patient as I googled to compare the different specs to make the best choice. The set I bought is the best extension set I've had besides the actual tape in ones from my salon back home. Cut well on the bottom, blend great, & the clips are super light/don't tug; best clips I've felt. It doesn't even feel like I'm wearing extensions! Even with my thick hair I only needed to use 5 of the 7 pieces. I tone my hair since I'm the silver/gray blonde & these took perfectly to that as well & match my real hair perfect. This store is so friendly. I had to buy a wig here for a music video (human hair, $300, pimpity! ) because I've since learned that most stars don't... ahem... "wear" their own hair in their music videos. (Thaaat's how Carrie Underwood goes from a chin-length bob just before her wedding to elbow-length hair at the CMA Fest!). Even Miley Cyrus- who has gorgeous natural hair- wears a wig onstage. They show her putting it on in her movie. Which I did not watch with my 6 year old cousin. AHEM. I always thought I'd just be myself, but from the first live video we did, I was shocked at how thin my normal hair looked... then I learned about this dirty little showbiz secret: Miley, Katy Perry, Gwen Stefani (when you see her with longer hair), Carrie, etc... it's all wigs. I've started to be able to tell by looking carefully at a magazine cover if someone is wearing a wig. More often than not, they are. The ones made out of human hair are really beautiful. They have a dull look, because they are ouf real human hair, whereas the ones that are nylon, etc., are very shiny and your eye perceives them as "Barbie-Doll" and fake. Who knew? Also, to look more natural, they ordered me a wig with a few different colors blended in. It was not available the day I was there. They fly their wigs in from L. A. or NYC, and mine arrived about 4 days after I ordered it. Fancy! It's a lot of money to spend on a wig, but I'll be using it in every appearance where I'm videotaped, all professional photos, and some gigs, so over even one year, it''ll pay for itself. It's a thing. It'd be great if I had that thick Swedish hair all my friends, Jenny Svennsven, Inga LLarssenven, and Gerta Ssvorenson had (these girls I grew up with in Wisconsin, Land of the Nordic people), but, maybe that Lingonberry will get passed around my way in the next life. I always hated Inga. According to the Wig People, this is why they have so many wigs for movie sets- they just pop wigs on the actors: they're much sturdier, so there are very few breaks to deal with messed-up hair like w/human hair on the head. The wig hair is in better condition and sewn onto a cap, so it tends to stay put. WELL! I would like to just shave my head, personally. -Everyone here is very nice and asks you about your life. -The owner lady & guy will special-order anything and go out of their way. - They gave me a %10 discount when I came back for some extensions for a different shoot. -They have a ton of great travel bags if you travel, and makeup, etc. -The entire store is so clean and brightly lit, you would not believe it, and it's ALWAYS that clean. read more
