Everyone at the office was very nice and helpful, they always answered all of our questions and we were never rushed. The birthing day was very smooth and easy, loved getting to use the tub for pushing! The midwives are there for checking periodically on progress and for the birthing, but not constantly in the room with you, so it was nice having a doula for extra support. (Cherish Peacewalker was great!) They had birth classes available which were nice for mental prep. Everything went well, we felt very comfortable throughout the whole process and felt very well taken care of. Would definitely recommend for a personable and natural experience and would definitely come again for our next baby! They were also very helpful with fixing breastfeeding difficulties at our checkup

Just like any other office I've ever been too not everyone on the staff has a personality that blends with everyone but overall they are polite and helpful. As far as Ms Kathy is concerned she's an older woman with years of experience with that being said she is here to assist with a natural delivery (pushing process only) which is why most people have to get doulas and take classes that they offered back then and now which are mandatory. I see why because it seems people are having a hard time during labor due to lack of self knowledge and placing blame. That's unfair. This process is also your responsibility otherwise you'd probably prefer a doctors office where they provide you with little to no choice in your birth plan, labor you there and deliver or induce you or intervene with what is supposed to be a natural process. Having Ms Kathy assist you through this is not gonna be for the weak and she is not going to baby you because it's not her job to do so but she does care about getting your baby here safely and not just your baby...there are multiple woman who come to her with similar due dates not to include surprise babies so unfortunately you can't take up the rooms for long periods of time if you guys labor anything like me it took my son 36 hours before things kinda got active the office just doesn't have that type of space or man power. With knowing all of this make sure that having a mid wife is the route you want to take do your research weigh your options I know I didn't have any control over my birthing experience with my first child from being induces the feeling the epidural and pain meds gave me and how out of it I was to being pre cut to avoid "tearing" which I didn't have at all with my second. I couldn't feel only one person was there it was not a good experience and I told myself I'd never go the hospital way again. Kathy is my only option and I'm back pregnant with baby number 3. She was so empathic with me, she helped me have the birth that I imagined in every sense! She puts attention at every detail, she didn´t miss anything about the discussed birth plan. She helped me find a great photographer for my birth, she texted me all through out my pregnancy, she asked about my appointments, how was I feeling, she sent backup articles when I needed more information, she always answered all my concerns, gave me emotional support when I needed and gave me a lot of tips while I was in labor), she always had the right words at the right moment. She arrived to the birth center minutes after I got there, she gave me my time and let my labor progress. She encouraged me to get in the tub at the right moment, made me stay hydrated, comfortable and was by my side in every pushing. She let me use my instincts making me feel very empowered and never alone. In every moment she helped me fulfill all my desires. My baby was born in water, we did partial lotus, a cord burning ceremony, she did a placenta print, she made me a raw placenta smoothie right after I delivered and freezer prep cubes with half of my placenta for the following days. I will be thankful forever for being so blessed of meeting Holly and having her as part of my team, I can't believe how one person brought that great variety of expertise and knowledge to my birth. The first thing I will tell you is that it was my first pregnancy, I knew I wanted a natural birth and when I would call birth centers I had so many questions and many of them didn't want to spend the time to talk to me on the phone they just wanted me to come in and make an appointment so they could make $. This bothered me because I felt people who had this sort of attitude would also being impatient with me during my pregnancy and birth . However when I called the place Claudia was working she talked to me for such a long time and I felt a warm connection with her she made me feel informed, supported and confident. So it was a no brainer for me at that point. I asked the birth center that I want her to be my doula and they had her on schedule when I gave birth. During my contractions she would massage pressure points and it helped so much to make he pain less. She was so supportive the whole time, and helped me the whole way. My midwife was so amazing too. My birthing experience was better than I could have ever imagined. It was peaceful, calm, and stress-free thanks to Megan's preparations and guidance. My healthy baby girl is 6 months old and she is absolutely perfect! One thing that stood out was the level of education and training that Megan has achieved. She was able to quote scientific research and compare data and fact-based findings with proven theories in order to help me to make research-based decisions about my pregnancy and birthing plan. She is unbelievably accommodating and patient focused but she places patient safety and patient education at the forefront of her priorities. I felt confident in every decision made because they were all made collaboratively. I know this isn't the typical rainbows and unicorns review that is expected about child birth. But childbirth is to be taken seriously and it is important to choose a midwife like Megan who has the perfect mixture of an extensive background in traditional medicine, a nuturing demeanor, knowledge of alternative practices, and a passion for assisting mothers in having the birthing experience of their choice. I am a very busy investor with high expectations. My analytical nature often finds room for improvement or constructive criticism for anyone or anything. Dr. deAyala is nice as well and direct. My only problem is the ultrasound technician. She is rude and takes terrible ultrasound pictures. Even with her explanation I feel like she just took some random pictures and called it a baby. On top of that, she makes snide remarks and doesn't allow the partner to be next to the woman during the ultrasound. Everyone at deAyala OBGYN besides the ultrasound technician deserves a 10/10. I don't have kids, so I can't review her pregnancy practice, but if you're looking for a doctor who cares about your reproductive health beyond just having kids, she's a perfect fit. She's understanding, she listens to every problem, and she never passes any judgement on anyone over not wanting kids. She'll go over every pro and con of every contraceptive to find what works best for you, and then load you up with samples to try them all out. Making appointments online is a breeze and that's always a huge plus with a busy schedule! They are always so accommodating seeing as how I have to plan a half day off of work to make the drive. Her bedside manner during a woman's most awkward yearly moment is perfect. She's quick, precise, and keeps your distracted with jokes and banter. I've sent several of my non-child having friends to her over the years, and they all agree she's the best. I hope she never retires because I have no idea what I'll do after 17 years. I made the mistake one time of going to someone else closer to home, and almost immediately regretted it. I'll happily drive 45 minutes from town for this as long as she's in practice.
