I was looking to side a house that was very dated and out of shape. I had a few special needs on…read morethis job. I was contacted by Jeremy offering to give a quote for the job. I had two other well known companies that came in one at 15k+ and another at 12k+. I started working with Jeremy with the quote and he uses a app on the smart phones that is called hover. This app allows you to take pictures of your house from different angles and render a 3D view of the house. He came back with what I thought was a fair price. All the items I wanted covered in the contract were covered. Everything was signed through electronic documents. He was able to get me 0 down and 0% interest for a term of 6-12 months. I ended up going with the 6 month term. The only think I wish I had was more face time with Jeremy during the signing process. Install: The installers where great. Very hard workers and knocked out the project with 2 guys in 4 days. I was on site a lot of the time and I did not see any time of them not working hard and that was something great to see. They communicated with me and let me know what was going on and made sure that I was informed. When the project was done I had a few things that I wanted to get touched up. Very small things they knocked out in 10 mins. That was great to see. I would say my overall experience with Jeremy and the crew was a very good one. Fair Price, quality work, good communications, and willing to make sure I was satisfied with the project even if it meant coming out to fix something.

I was asked if there would be a significant other attending sales pitch meeting and I politely indicated I'm a single mom and will make the final decision myself. Yet, I understood the reason behind the inquiry and had no problems with it. The sales guy was straight to the point didn't really try to sell me the product just provided information regarding the product and answered questions I had accordingly. Which I was grateful for! He let me know that there would be about an 8-week fabrication Lead time which I was fine with. The windows did end up ready for installation within that time frame. Empire graciously set the installation date according to my schedule. And I can't rave enough about the three person team who came out and completed the install. Dave and his crew were on time, addressed my concern about placing down floor protection- which they had already anticipated. They were knowledgeable with the product and how to install the windows and the back patio door. Hard consistent workers, there was no downtime during the install. the framework after the bay window was removed was done very professionally and looks amazing. They answered my questions professionally and didn't make me feel stupid for asking very simple questions at times. I cant say enough about this crew, I hope they see this review and see how appreciative this single mom is. A job that he told us (and we wrote down) would take 3 weeks took 3 1/2 months. Beware if you are a single, or widowed woman with no experience in hiring a company for this type of work. I finally decided to do a little investigation and found that this company has a rating of "F" on the Better Business Bureau! Please read what the BBB has written on their website. When we found this out, I called the bank and the BBB to report Mr. Ernst. We were given instructions and told not to give the final payment until instructed to do so by the bank. Mr. Ernst became furious and sent threatening texts, phone calls, and emails (of which I have all copies). "Veronica" from the "Legacy Accounting Dept representing his company" literally tried to trick us into calling her. Instead, we responded via text. She claimed to be trying to collect the last check and would "forward the information to Atty Tom Haskins in Akron to file a Lien on your property if payment is not made this week". Mr. Ernst must have forgotten that he had a conversation with my mom about his girlfriend, Veronica, who worked at Legacy AUTO and would be more than happy to sell her a car! My mother even wrote down her name, Legacy Auto's name, and phone number! Coincidence? You decide. I still have voice mail messages, texts, and emails. When the job was finally completed, we were instructed by the bank, to meet him at the bank, to complete the transaction. Mr. Ernst came crawling in with his tail between his legs and didn't say a word! Does the final product look nice? Yes. His CREW did a decent job. Was it worth it? Absolutely NOT! I now know what proper construction looks like. Very professional; any mess was cleaned up on a daily basis, workers were polite and attentive to their work...if they didn't like the look of what they had done...they did it again! They corrected previous work done by a DIY'er...for instance French doors leading to sun porch had been improperly installed...they took them out and fixed didn't have to we would never have known but they wanted it right. The work took longer than expected due to bwd weather but it has been done properly.
