The chicken wings here are amazing. Not to toot my own horn, but I've kind of nailed the whole 'at home' wing game. That said, when I have a hankering for good takeout - this is the spot. The location is tucked away in a small plaza, you could really miss it if you didn't know where it was as it's pretty understated. The inside is not much to mention either. Quite the opposite can be said of the wings from here. The quality is always consistent and I've never had a poor experience with the service or food. The customer service at this restaurant is a dumpster fire and it's going to cost them their business. We ordered our dinner from The Wingery in advance on Skip the Dishes, and we knew it might take some time, as it's Superbowl Sunday - they were bound to be busy. With Skip the Dishes, you can choose to have your food delivered, or you can pick it up. Since we were already out, we opted to pick it up. I ordered wings and a veggie pack. I was surprised when they said it would be done in 9 minutes, but OK! So we headed there and they were SUPER busy. My Husband went inside and waited for our food. Now, we have ordered here probably 10 times in the past year - we're loyal customers and we've recommended their wings to our friends. After a 20 minute wait, which we didn't mind, they asked my Husband for the 5th time what his order number was. He answered and they FINALLY handed him the order, but then immediately said, "Wait, you're not Skip the Dishes! You're NOT leaving here with someone's order!" My Husband explained that he ordered for pick-up, and the man immediately demanded proof. My Husband said, "My Wife ordered, I don't have proof." He argued with my Husband for a minute or so until I sent my Husband a screenshot PROVING we ordered pickup, something the man could have easily verified on his Skip the Dishes tablet. We left and discovered that instead of veggies, we had been given 2 huge containers of coleslaw, something I can't eat due to an allergy. We went back and my husband went inside. I was surprised when my Husband came back 30 seconds later with the coleslaw in hand, shaking his head. Turns out the guy (who I believe is the owner) said, "Veggies? On a day like today? C'mon man, no." My Husband tried to say we couldn't eat the coleslaw, but the man waved in his face and said, "Buh Bye" and walked away. Now, let me explain something about my Husband. He is the world's sweetest man. His nickname at work is Opie. He's softspoken and the kindest man you'd ever meet. And now let me explain myself - I am a snarling pitbull who will tear your face off when you are rude to my sweet Husband. I went inside and I told that man to never speak to my Husband like that again. He immediately tried the "I'm going to be the bigger person" act because there were so many people watching. Uh uh, not having it. I told him we ordered veggies, we didn't order coleslaw, you can't give us something else and think that's fine and then be so rude when you're told that's wrong. He told me he'd refund me for the veggies. He said, "It's a dollar. Does a dollar mean THAT much to you?" And I said, "Yes, it does (we don't have a lot of money)." He said, "Well, then I will give you a five if that's the case." And he did. And he believes he came out looking like the better person for it. Now, that's all fine and dandy, but you see, I have the receipts - the veggie pack is actually $4.00. Not $1.00. And if you rip everything customer off for $4 or even $1, you've made yourself a nice tidy profit. Like I said, we've been loyal customers. But that ended tonight. And if the owner, or whoever that was, treats all his loyal customers like that, he's going to find his restaurant very empty. A s**t show. I phone my order in (after attempts at online ordering go unacknowledged). Guy answers the phone (eventually) "Hullo?" Doesn't even bother to identify the business. Anyway, place the order (2 lbs and fries) go to pick it up 25 minutes later (I was told 15-20 minutes). I'm greeted with, "Remind me what you ordered again." Buddy goes to the back to make the wings and he comes out a few minutes later and says, "oh, I don't have fries".  I say, ok. fine. and I pull out my debit card to pay. "Oh, my debit machine isn't working. Do you have cash." I said, "No I don't have cash - what am I supposed to do?" "Well, you could go to the convenience store next door and get cash." After reading all of the other reviews, I was anticipating trying this place out. I placed an online order to be delivered some 90 minutes later. 100 minutes later, the order had not arrived. I called the restaurant, only to be placed on hold 3 separate times. The person tells me that there was a mix up in the kitchen and that they can get the order out to me in 30 minutes. In two hours, I could have killed, seasoned and fried my own chicken. No sincere apology or discount offered. He acted like I was in the wrong for calling bothering him. Save your money. I have ordered from this location several times and have generally been pleased. Tonight, I ordered wings, fries, onion rings and pickle spears and only the fries were cooked properly. Everything else was badly overcooked. I'm pretty picky about my wings and I remember trying this place more than a year ago and wasn't impressed. But last night, I had a crazy wing craving and ordered some only to be pleasantly surprised by how awesome the wings were!!! We like our wings hot hot hot and I felt adventurous enough to order the Snake's Venom which is the hottest on the menu. Most of the wings that I have tried which are super hot don't have a lotta flavor but these wings were full of flavor and definitely delivered on spice! Was my mouth on fire? Yes. But we finished it all and I woke up wanting more. My usual wing joint is in etobicoke and I have on many occasions made the trek out to pick some up but wont be doing that anymore! I am thrilled to have rediscovered this little wing joint and again not sure if there's been a change in management since my first trip here but the food is definitely much better!!! Yes, I live down the street from them, but I'm also walking distance to another wing place (self-proclaimed 'Best in Oakville') and a short drive to a large wing franchise. When the Wingery first opened, I wondered how they could make a go in a C-class strip mall with a pizza place that sold wings and a bar that had some decent wings, but from the moment I took the first bite, I knew they were not just the best in the area, but the best I ever tasted. The wings are huge, the chicken is moist, the bite is crisp and all the sauces I've tried (from a Mild BBQ, to Swamp Sauce to Gates of Hell) all pop with textured flavours -- even Gates from Hell, which was a fight between the pain from heat and the desire to taste the sauce again. Searching for the best wings in Oakville is like searching for the little man in the boat on a skinny girl, it's not always easy, but once you've found it you just wanna keep going back. It was with this attitude that led me to The Wingery on Sixth Line. Tucked away in a forgettable strip mall that notably includes Mario's Pizza, home of the $5 piece of shit pizza. Luckily for wing lovers, there is no terrible food curse on this strip mall. The wings are plump but not super juicy. They are heavily breaded, buffalo styles and coated with a barely adequate covering of your choice of 20 different sauces. I've only tried a few of the options thus far by as of now, I'd say Hot Honey takes the cake. If you like saucy wings, you'll likely want to (well you won't WANT to) spend the 35-70 cents extra (35 for sloppy, 70 for dripping). Another annoying extra change is the $1.85 extra for splitting sauces in less than 2 lb increments. Believe it or not, but the best thing on the menu is NOT the wings. Though they are certainly very good, if not great, The Wingery's top item is the Sloppy Chicken Sandwich. A massive chunk of white meat chicken breast, breaded like the wings and rolled in one of your favourite sauces this is a simple but tremendously effective sandwich. It's big, crunchy and tasty as shit. Do it. Also of note is the Wingery Three Wrap, a trio of small chicken wraps with lettuce, cheese and either ranch, blue cheese, creamy garlic or any one of the wing sauces. The key thing here is you can mix up your sauces on these. A great way to get introduced to the 20 flavours. All in all, it's a tasty sandwich, which is why my rating is so high. The wings are certainly good, probably the biggest wings in Oakville. However, the extra sauce charges and lack of flexibility take them down a page in my book. Ordered from Skip the Dishes, ordered poutine with our wings. We were told once the wings were delivered that they did not have poutine and that they "added more wings to our order". We are not able to confirm this as we don't know how many wings are typically in an order. Additionally, the poutine was ordered for a friend that does not eat chicken wings. Therefore, the extra wings were virtually useless. Regardless, it was unacceptable that I paid for a poutine and upon delivery was informed that there was no poutine and was charged. To add to this, once we started the eat the wings, the Smokey BBQ and hot and honey were both ice COLD. Not just the sauce but inside the wings as well. The Wingery has the best wings of any bar or restaurant in Oakville and I can say now it is the best managed establishment I have ever been too. There was a very minor problem with my order today and the management wanted to take the time to make sure I was happy with my order and that they made the situation right. By the pound?...I don't think so!! We've had wings from here a few times, and usually order the breaded version. This time, we had company and ordered 4 lbs of Naked and 5 lbs of Breaded. When we opened the box of naked wings, it was shocking to see how little we got. Now, we know that meat shrinks when you cook it, but we were so surprised to see how little we got that we pulled out the kitchen scale to measure it! Our 4 lbs of meat, now weighed 2.4 lbs! Our 5 lb breaded ones, weighed in at 3.8 pounds. Perhaps, without the bread, it might weigh 3 lbs?? We were quite disappointed and when we called to talk to the manager, it was explained to us that yes they do shrink, and that they use about 6-7 wings when ordered by the pound. We argued about why they are counting their wings when their website says "WE SERVE YOU WINGS BY WEIGHT, THE SAME WAY A FINE MEAT SHOP SELLS ITS MEATS, SO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE PAYING FOR!" We aren't wing-shrinkage experts here, but I can't imagine that chicken wings weigh almost 50% less after cooking. The flavour was good, but we definitely aren't getting what we paid for. read more

This location used to be amazing, but has switched ownership. Since the switch I have ordered twice and both times has issues where the wings seemed under cooked, the batter mushy, and barely any sauce of seasoning on the wings. I'm my specific example I did an online order (knowing the service has become super slow), upon getting there, the owner said that the sauce that I ordered was unavailable and hadn't made yet. Ever since the old owners sold and it franchised it's just not the same. Delivery order I just placed has taken over 90 minutes so far and still not arrived. When I called to check on the status they seemed like they could care less that it was double the time they said it would arrive in. I went looking for wings for my daughter. She loves breaded chicken wings, but I hate KFC's prices. I ordered from the wingery, based on a recommendation from Yelp, and I was not disappointed.
